lol, this is the perfect example of a 100% external strike, internal strikes bounce back to deliver maximum kinetic energy in the smallest fraction of time. Plus that kind of hip rotation indicates external forces delivered (well, the fact that you are pushing him is enough to understand that this is external).
@KirkhamsEbooks bounce back (the hand surely bounces back, but the body must be relaxed too and adapt to the strike w/o tensing up) after the strike. This way u yeld kinetic energy to the opponent. As opposed to external strikes (or "momentum strikes") in wich the objective is to build momentum and conserve it after the strike connects to push and penetrate, internal strikes are aimed at releasing kinetic energy into the opponent instead of conserving it. your opponent drops where he stands.
@auspwns Correct. I found it easier to have the students push their hips forward which then straightened the rear leg. When you do it correctly you feel as though you're arching your back
sorry dude thats not how you do a internal energy strike thats how you us your wieght to push someone after you give them a weak punch.a true internal energy strike will stop at the core of the target and disrupt the chakra flow.it takes maditation a HEALTHY life style and above all WILL power

@EBB47 When one is teaching one overemphasizes

@KirkhamsEbooks sorry i see :)

@KirkhamsEbooks wouldn't it be helpful if we could see at least one real strike for reference after one "overemphasizes"?

@ANZACJugger0 That's how you give a lesson. You overemphasize then you reduce as gross-motor coordination improves
