The worst part about this is that there will only be about one or two REAL racers. All the other ones are probably strokes at their Saturday Night short track that still haven't figured out the endless finer things in racing. (Learning how to save fuel, not burn the RR off a late model in a 100 lap feature, even down to forcing your opponents to change their line without any contact) You could take anyone with a Class A license in iRacing and have better results.
I dont actually think that Nascar is against women or minorities (although some of the fans might be). It just seems to have that image. Im from Europe and Im a huge Nascar fan. However, everyone here seems to think its a 'backward sport' purely because its mainly ovals and because the cars are less technical than an f1 car.
People just need to be more open. I think its great something like this is happening to broaden the sports image
@intensity74 Max Siegel is dedicated to the goal and - works to ensure that opportunities are wide open for ALL minority and women drivers, and he and his team are delivering on that. This promo identifies only the groups that are represented in this upcoming show. But the Drive for Diversity program that Mr. Siegel leads opens the sport to ALL ethnicities and groups - and that is what is so powerful about this initiative.
I hope Darrell Wallace wins it, then turns the deal down because he's with Joe Gibbs

@ShabareckMike So you are saying that all Saturday Night Short Trackers dont know how to do any of that?
hoosierredneck1 6 months ago
@hoosierredneck1 Nope. I'm saying that the people in this show (for the most part) are people that don't even make the feature at their short track.
