  • Nice!

  • I guess you could but only through the same website that sales the stetsbar

  • How about replacement parts? Can you find extra springs if the ones on the trem wear out?

  • sounds good. went a little bit out of tune though, eh?

  • @reaperpro a little. I have a newer video with added locking tuners and I abuse it. It stays in tune

  • @patriciolposse I was looking at getting one of these for my Les Paul and adding locking tuners and a Tusq XL nut. Do you think with those mods it will stay in tune as well as a locking nut?

  • does pulling up on it like that put any marks on the finish?

  • @Pittsisamazing I took the stetsbar off for the first time yesterday (great timing huh!) and I noticed nothing other than micro scratches beneath the bridge. They could have been there before... Anyways, when you buy the bridge Eric Stets sends you a foam that goes under the bridge to protect the finish. I didn't bother putting that on.

  • @patriciolposse Oh, cool. Micro scratches don't bother me. Price is a bit steep, but everything about this makes me want it and I'm currently saving up for one. I have a dean cadillac with three pickups, and was considering finding a secondary guitar with a floyd rose, but now I'm just going to add this to it.

  • @Pittsisamazing hope you enjoy it!! glad i could help!

  • Nice!

  • is this better than the floyd rose that came on the guitar

  • @dcp10200 Hi there, this particular model did not come with the floyd. Thanks

  • How well does it stay in tune?

  • @Frehley5 check out my other video and see it for yourself. On that one, the setup is better and it stays in tune way better. This is a very old video, the other, way newer. Cheers

  • Does it stay in tune better than a strat trem? Or is it about the same?

  • @BlackAngusYoung I would say its about as good or better...

  • i just got mine, and i lost the sustain i originally had on my lespaul, can u help?

  • @McBlobby3 hmm that's interesting. I lost some on mine as well but not enough to bother me. Is the action super low? if not, is the lower part on the wood? is it tight? don't use that foam thingy is comes with. That takes your sustain right off. Let me know if any on this helped.

  • @patriciolposse thanks man! really did :D i kept the foam on, but i raised it a bit and it worked :D im gna leave the foamy thing on. don't wna scratch my guitar XD

  • @patriciolposse Hey dude do u think this can fit on a superstart like mine its a schecter hellraiser do i like have to drill some extra holes or something

  • @getsuga987 If the distance between the poles is the same as in the Les Paul then yes. Talk to Eric Stets, he might clear you right up. The number is on the website. Good luck!

  • @AlexVDL2 All you need is some locking tuners and that'll fix it. On the newer video you can see the system getting abused and taking it like a champ!, Cheers

  • can this be installed on any guitar? im making my own, does it only fit on gibsons?

  • @easm393 Well it depends, the posts need to have the same distance as the gibsons...

  • two questions. this one may be dumb but does it still fit in the case good? and did you have to make adjustments to keep it in tune? if so like what

  • @keithgatti It fits great, you can move the arm "south" or just take it off altogether (that's what i do) to make it fit in the case. Only mod was replacing the tuners for locking tuners. Works awesome. Check it out on my newer video, on that one i pull on it more and it was the locking tuners installed. Thanks!

  • @patriciolposse its settled im buying for the sg and im buying the locking tuners.. did you get grover?

  • @keithgatti I bought Struckture tuners at SamAsh. They were like $49 bucks plus tax. Cheap ones to know if it would help... Turn out it did, big time!

  • im speachless

  • @mandingman watch the new video, there it takes the abuse like a pro!

  • i was taking the piss sorry lol

  • dont pull it too far because it can pop out

  • @DRCRUE1313 never had an issue. The only time something happened, the ball end snapped off a string. Other than that, nothing...

  • @patriciolposse on mine if you pull the bar too far it will pop out of the black thing that its attached to.

  • I uploaded a new video with more abuse to the stetsbar, it stays in tune even better now that I added locking tuners to my LP. Hope you guys enjoy it!!

  • Shit, dude! You must have to change your strings almost daily!

  • @whysdarknesssobad I change my strings fairly often. Right now I am using coated strings and they last longer without rust so I keep them on for about 2 months!!

  • i just ordered one!!!

  • The best thing with the stetsbar is that you can remove it to put the tune o matic back in the guitar, which is not the case with a floyd...

  • Wow, I'd never dare to pull my vibrato as much as you did at 00:15 !!

  • @larsenpeople hahaha thanks i guess!

  • After using the stetsbar for a couple of minutes, how is the tuning?

Does the guitar stay in tune?

  • @TomMorella yup, nut sauce is the key. if not, just work on the nut a little bit

  • @patriciolposse which stetsbar model is that?will it fit on a esp viper and do you have locking tunners on the lp?

  • @dimgoutz It is the black chrome for LP obviously. I have no locking tuners, I should but I am too afraid to diminish the value of the guitar by drilling holes into it

  • @patriciolposse i have locking tuners on mine and i didnt have to drill any holes dude. but how much does that trem system cost?

  • @12guitarkid what tuners did you get?? that system was about 250 bucks i think. check it out at their website.. stetsbar . com

  • Those stetsbars are impresive, I bought one and they respond really good.

  • I have a stetsbar tremolo pro II on my flying v gibson , it's very cool but the guitar also made go out of tune ,what's the solution???

  • @TheDismalDream i have answered this many times, read the other comments

  • @patriciolposse ok i will see

  • WHERE CAN I BUY ONE OF THOSE?

  • @jerry97diaz

    stetsbar.com

  • that looks cool, this have an up and down action?, cuz i have a jackson but her has a tuneomatic bridge and i dont wanna route, and this don't detune the guitar?, or i need have locking machine pegs

  • @3xVxC if you have locking tuners, all the better. I found that the stetsbar raise the action a little bit but i sent it back to Eric Stets and he took care of it free of charge!, Thanks Eric!!

  • @patriciolposse is the stetsbar have a up and down action?

  • @sirkamla yes it goes both ways. You have to set it up to your taste. mine goes down and octave and up a 4th..

You can have it move more but the trem bar will be way too loose for my taste

  • @patriciolposse is the stetsbar having a tune problem when bending?, i'm thinking to get one..

  • @sirkamla works very nice no tuning issues once you intonate it right

  • @patriciolposse ok tnx..

  • @patriciolposse ok, i am buying a saga flying v DIY kit, i build it myself (obviously). i realy want a good tremolo to fit on it, but i think it has been set for a standerd bridge meaning the bridge it comes with does not have a tremolo. is there any kind of tremolo beside bigsy that i can put on instead of a standerd bridge that i can play steve vai or buckethead on? meaning the way they use tremolo. thanx in advance and sorry about long ass comment!!

  • @phazonmangowarlord the stetsbar is probably your best option. I oped for it after checking out MANY different ones.... It's not quite as vile as the Floyd or the Kahler, but it does the trick and gets the job done. I'll try to shoot a second video since I have set it up better and have more experience with it to show it off more. Good luck with your project!

  • Listen to the last chord he plays, it is sooo out of tune. If you wanted to know how stable it is that tell me it is not.

  • @lefttygtr again, that was before a setup and the wonders of nutsauce..

  • Do you think it would function well on a SG standard?

  • @Dasspapirfly it should, the concept is the same on both...

  • i have a stetsbar and i cant get it to stay in tune. i got it professionally set up and used nut sauce. what should i do?

  • @Toaster121 have the guitar tech work on your nut (i'm assuming it's a LP) usually the string angle after the nut causes it to friction in such a way that i won't come back to pitch... let me know if that helps.. also use nut sauce on both the nut and saddles..

    Hope it helps! good luck!!

  • How much did you end up paying for this stetsbar, including shipping if you can remember? This is the "Black chrome" correct? Thank you!

  • @TheMichaelCollazo i don't remember exactly.. but yes, it is the black chrome

  • hows the tuning stability thinking bout gettin one myself

  • @CalebH50 the G-string seems to get stuck, it depends on your nut. after i got nut sauce it got ri of all my problems!

  • sounds like you finally went out of tune at the end

  • @motallero i think so too... i don't recall it's been a while, that was before i discovered the wonders of nut sauce!

  • Dude, that was some serious, kick-ass shreddage!

hey man, i'm skeptical about this thing...how do you compare this with a Floyd and Kahler? I was observing in your video that you not only dived down but you also pulled that bar so high up...is this thing fragile since installation seemed less complicated as compared to Floyds? Like is it sensitive when I try some Dimebag squeals or play the Raining blood solos? I'm afraid i might shatter the system itself.

  • @dazzitboy dude thanks... i was sleepy as hell and i was still recouping from a fractured pinky! haha anyways, the thing is pretty sturdy but just so you know, Eric Stets WILL send you a new whammy bar if you ever break it. I did it once and i received a replacement within 3 days, i am very happy with the customer service he provides...

  • @patriciolposse aaaah nice! you are a great player man! keep playing and I hope you become famous some day if you haven't already.

damn, fractured your pinky? take care of your fingers!

  • @dazzitboy not famous at all!! had a death metal band for a while that got "some" notice but other than that play old guitar player that works at the music store..

  • @dazzitboy damn that happened to me when i first started playing you gotta be careful kids warm up b4 u try to play fast especially when youre a beginner

  • @xXxBosteRxXx honestly no, I guess is the way it's set up, also the light strings help i suppose

  • THats awesome mines comming next week cant wait!!

  • Why the fuk have you put a stetsbar on a gibson AXCESS that already has a fukin Floyd rose tremelo dik wad

  • @sleepypreacher some of them come with a stoptail, so shut up yourself

  • @skelly2608

@ sleepypreacher: who's the dick wad now, dick wad?

  • @xXxBosteRxXx If you yank too hard on the bar going up you will break the loop where the ball end is, that's happened to me before

  • Thanks for letting us hear the stetsbar. One bit of advice. I get all black is yo thang, but from the stand point of a video, wearing black pants, a black T, holding a black guitar, with black stetsbar, in a back-lit room with no light source between you and the camera, means we hear ya, but all we see is the room behind you, and neck inlays against the black silhouette of a dark figure. Hope you consider making another video with better lighting so we can see the stetsbar in action.

  • Nice video. Now I defintely want a stets bar. I do recommend Sperzel tuners though. Tremendous help with tuning.

  • @atman5150 glad i could help...

  • does it stay in tune nice? im about to buy one for my gibson les paul studio vintage mahogany.. what do you think?

  • @TheJuicer1414 The action was raised about an inch and I couldn't keep it in tune for the life of me. After thinking about it I remembered that I always had trouble with the G string and the nut (I know, i know... naughty), so I filed the nut a little bit and got nut sauce and now I am really happy with it. Even back when I wouldn't stay in tune it wasn't that bad though. The video was filmed before I fixed it up, and as you can see, it stays pretty much in tune.

  • @patriciolposse not an inch I am sorry! i meant a millimeter, so not really a lot... an inch would be atrocious

  • @TheJuicer1414 Is the video good enough or should I post a new one with better playing and more dives?, feedback is very much appreciated. Trust me, I too, had to buy one at hit or miss, I couldn't find a video that answered all my questions and concerns...

  • @patriciolposse MORE DIVES!!!

  • for the most part as you can see it stay very much in tune... I still have to keep playing with it to get the tension right but if you use nut sauce or the "sta-tuned" device it would have no problem staying in tune. Sometimes the G string gets stuck in the nut slot coming back to pitch so i just lightly pull on the bar an that takes care of it. Hope this helps, on't hesitate to ask more!!!

  • Does it go out of tune easily?
