  • Almost wore out Leo Kottke albums in my yoof, so it's good to hear/ see this. Nice at this less frenetic pace as well.

  • Agree with earlier comments, regarding your more 'laid back' pace at which you play this song in your video, 'stretches' the song out, makes it more melodic somehow, interesting, really will have to get round to posting my version soon,- the slide bit seems too give me trouble, -it's that slack tuning I play it in, tried different slides, still get too much 'buzz' on the strings, nice cover though, well done!

  • It's a lot cleaner and less frantic than most versions of Vaseline Machine Gun. I like it.

  • @birkenweg42 Thanks for the comment.....i think i could probably play it cleaner with a little practise and the advice from the comment above.

  • Looking forward to hearing more of your music! please!

  • I like it...But I do wonder about the use of the slide across all 6 strings at the 12th fret ...I have noted that many players do this ..Personally I think its a mistake .. Leo only slides up on the 1st and 2nd strings which enables the bass notes to ring on the open strings...but what the heck ..I still love it no matter how its played...

  • @hairykiore Ahhh,i knew there was something not quite right.Just tried what you said and it sounds more like Leo.Thanks for the tip.I am a self taught player so i always welcome any advice.

  • Really love this! Smokin hot! :)

  • @ladyartista Thanks, much appreciated.
