Heyy good luck I had surgery 3 days ago just got out the hospital today what kind of things are you eating I just cant stand the smell of the broth no more it makes me sick but I force my self to eat it
Very good presentation - - a lot of helpful and pertinent info, good stream of speaking (not a lot of ummms and pauses - - those vids lose me in a snap), clear video, and good personality!
We paid for it out of pocket, but I think that we have saved that amount by not having to order two dinners when we go out, I just eat off of other people's plates.
I am have three more ntrition class and then 3 life skills courses and to meet with pulmonologist and nurse practiontioner in may. surgery sahould be schedualed for end of july and i am very nervouse. I am already on day 5 of quiting smoking this is added stress but i am pushing forwrd i am 40 never been married and i want to live the rest of my life healthy . any adv you can give me... i am very nervouse about after surgery side efects
yes, food smells so good! I am four days post - op, still crave for food. The pure liquid diet is not easy at all. Wish to get to the full- liquid diet sooner ! Thanks for you and your sister's video, i also have my VSG with Dr A. Excellent doctor, not a lot of pain during and after the surgery . Highly recommend ! Just wish the hungry goes away soon ! And I dream about food in my dream ~
I just had my Gastric Sleeve down four days ago. Bouncing back quickly! I had more pain recovering from my gallbladder removal than the sleeve. Went into the surgery prepared and well informed. It truly is the best decision I ever made. I still want the taste for certain foods, but not physically hungry. Can't wait to be onto full liquids though...
@PhoenixEscaping heyy im from india and my BMI is 40, so can i go for surgeory of gastric sleeves?? is it harmfull, will it loose my weight?? will it change my eating habit ?? reaply as soon as possible.
Hey man, I am one week post-op tomorrow. I also went to Dr. A! I love your videos and it is awesome seeing the the progress you have made. I am down 27 pounds today and just chuggin a long. Just wanted to say thanks for being so awesome...your videos helped in making my decision to do the VSG! Thanks man!!
Hello-- I have been watching all of your videos. I was sleeved last week. what i am really wondering is why it is so easy for me to drink liquids as i did before. I can drink 16 0z of liquid and gulp it down with no problem. I don't want to stretch my sleeve. Please tell me about liquids... do they stretch the sleeve? I have been reading things that say it takes folks an hour to drink 8 0z of liquid. I have no problem drinking 16 oz in a short time. Please help me if you can.
did you guys ever have any chest discomfort after the surgery? like did you have to build your lungs back up...and work on breathing deeply? at what point did the soarness from the scars go away..and when did your body feel "normal" again?
To be honest with you, I wasn't that nervous. I knew that the surgery was going to get me where I wanted to go. I have my whole life in front of me and goals that I wanted to achieve. I can't believe how much the surgery has already changed me. Tanya, on the other hand was nervous like you. It's definitely a big step, but it's also well worth a happy and healthy life.
It was a couple hundred for a ticket to San Antonio. We were in a small border town and it was really safe. The surgery was $9750 and completely worth every penny. I went to Dr. Alvarez and I do recommend him. He probably has done more gastric sleeve surgeries than any other doctor in world.
I had read through a lot of other comments, I was a little nervous but everything turned out ok. the rooms were nice and the people and nurses very friendly. I also think the area we were in was a lot safer then other areas. We flew into San Antonio and then were driven to the border about two hours away.
Did they give you a catheter during surgery?

What were you told about long term complications? I'm researching my options. Thought I would go with the Lap Band. Now I'm not so sure
