For those who are not in tune with what he has done hear, listen to the original side by side, so to speak, pausing one verse with the next, and you can hear the "flats". Those are those notes that sound a tad lower than the original, both in the music and in his voice. A great example of a band known for it's music which are nearly all in some flat key would be Alice in Chains. That will give you a better idea. Hope this helps. Peace all! JS
