I missed him dearly. R.I.P. Wellstone. I glad I met him at MN State Fair back in 2002. My heart broken back in 2002 when I saw on the news. What a scumbag who killed him can rot in the hell!

Wellstone was a hypocrite. He voted against the first Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom, yet he voted in favor of all of Bill Clinton's military adventures, even the bombing of Iraq in 1998. He was also a fire-breathing left-wing socialist on domestic policy. I'm not saying I'm glad he died, but I do think he was a very typical politician, and was certainly no hero of mine.
It is so insightful to review Paul Wellstone's comments 6 years hence. He was so clearly prophetic. Perhaps his successor should review his speech on the senate as well. Seeing Barack Obama today and his inspirational message puts me in mind of my former Minnesota Senator. May the underdog win!

This Minnesotan wishes he was still alive. He would be the front-runner today.

all minnesotans noticed how wellstone didn't care about political consequences, he did what he believed in and his absense is still felt
