this wasnt a war, it was a genocide, just look at the numbers, 15000 soviet soldiers dead, more than 1 million (!) afghans killed. My father when he was in a military hospital said he met a mig pilot, and as he said they always had clear orders, if they see a group of non russian guys in the mountains, shoot to kill, no matter are they civilians or rebels. Part 1: Basically self explanatory up to the point where the guy looks over the Mujaheds. He finds one with blood on his hands (hence suspicion that he was the one who cut the throat of the wounded tank crew member). The major finds out what he says (which is "why are you here this is our land? We kill you, etc.") and says to take them away. Obviously he kills the one by putting him in the truck. On the tank he says " one tried to run away so we had to shoot him."
