  • Whats up with the dislikes? It's a good video

  • your guitar face. lol.

  • Really useful, and no drawn out intro telling us what you are about to do like most of the egomaniacs on YouTube. Thanks mate.

  • You look like a young Layne Staley

  • I want a tele:( But I just bought a Taylor 814ce and a fender deville tube amp and a DD-3 and fossilized walrus bridge pins for my Taylor and koa buttons oh... and a rare ibanez jem 77fp. I want a TELE!!!

  • loving the strat without pickguard :)

  • HOW DOES THIS HAVE 40 LIKES , people have milked a cow with less movement of their hands thn on ur vibrato, but on the + you know pentatonic and 1 other position mate.

  • this has to be the baddest man on the planet

  • No need to compare. I want you to rest assured that everything you play sucks. And the "Facial Expressions TM" suck as well. Thanks.

  • Is he chewing gum??

  • man you need more scale practice but keep the energy

  • @fon267 Scale Practice!! aha what a queer

  • hey guys, im thinking about buying another guitar, i allready have a SX custom made american ash wood telecaster, and i want somthing else for the heavy metal i love playing, so im wondering if i should by another telecaster, or a strat, what do you guys think????

  • @bmwhitfield95 if u want one for metal, go 4 a more metal make like jackson, esp, dean, ect

  • Bluesman

  • nice vibrato! although you should keep yourself in one key when you play those solos xD

  • Comment removed

  • @gdosic its called vibrato dickhead maybe you should go learn guitar and then make comments about other peoples playing.

  • @DistortionCrazy

Call it what you will, you freakin' tard ...This is awful in any case..

  • @gdosic - Please don't use that language on my video.

  • @DistortionCrazy - Please don't use this language on my video.

  • wankage.....

  • Not gonna lie.

    I'm scared of your vibrato...

  • WHAT TUNING!! I MUST KNOW!!!!

  • @TheJerksTC - Drop D

  • Sweet video man, thanks for uploading.

The telecaster will always be my favourite out of the two, I think.

  • @TheNeonBlues - You bet, I think I want to agree. The neck pickup is really important to me and I think the strat style is much better than the chrome top standard tele neck pickup. The tele bridge is just amazing though.

  • Thanks for the information. Yeah, I got beaten up badly selling my '96 Strat American Standard. A fine bone-white, kept in great shape. I'm too ashamed to say what I sold it for (and especially why), but it was the dumbest move I ever made. It almost never pays to sell a guitar. Hell, GIVE it away to someone who needs it before you sell it. You'll feel better.

  • That's the sweeetest looking "strat" innovation I've ever seen. How'd you put it together? Was it expensive? Your playing is real inventive, too. Thanks for sharing your skills.

  • @newaccountdebzbd Thank you very much. It really wasn't that hard to put together. I started by making small changes - tuners, pickups, bridge. Once you get familiar with the basics, the body and neck just get bolted together. I brought it to my guitar tech for a final setup when I was done, and he really smoothed out the finishing touches that make it nice. It was very worth it!

  • @newaccountdebzbd - It wasn't that expensive either, less than $400 for sure. And you can really customize it to your desires. It is hard to get that kind of quality and customization in the price range. Be aware though, the resale value is really poor. I'd put it up against an American Standard Fender, but if I tried to sell it at a shop locally I'd have a hard time getting $250.

  • Gurning like a mother-fucker!

  • Wow your world is black n white with orange highlights!

  • @GameLevelEditor - I know, I had a weird color reverse filter on my camera by accident. Kind of a cool effect!

  • @kleydj13 im saying it should be org strat pick up from fender as well as teles so both could have a stock sound

  • @360idol - I follow. The strat having a JB jr. makes the bridge position very un-stratty, especially with crunchy rhythm. I do believe that the HSS strat is everything a vintage strat wished it could be.

  • is that a fender strat and all stock if not you cant compare the two

    but thats no disrespect

  • @360idol - neither guitars are fenders, I put them both together myself. And I'm not sure I follow as to why they can't be compared?? Is there something important about the headstock decal?

  • Fella,y our playing is superb but you look like you've dropped a couple of ecstasy pills.

  • @Selecta88 - Thank you, I've often wondered what my guitar face would be like if I were actually on drugs. That would be worth filming.

  • @kleydj13 My wife always tells me I make weird faces when I play too. Now I know what she is talking about. Gotta do something about that... Nice playing by the way!

  • @daveguitarification - No way man, let them rip all the more! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • I can't keep my mouth steady while I 'm playing too...

  • i'm tired of strats

  • Tele for me

  • it's layne staley

  • prefer telecaster ;)!

  • the tele has more bite and attitude to my ears

  • Rake sucks.. 0:31

  • Tele all the way. Something about having the bridge pickup actually mounted in to the bridge makes for really nice clarity and definition. If you like to home-brew teles, you should try my next recipe. It's a pine tele body, GFS neck with rosewood board, esquire pickguard (no neck pickup), and rout the pickup cavity wide enough so it's all the way from the bridge to almost the neck, GFS ashtray humbucker bridge w/graphite saddles, and a GFS "Surf-90". I heard a demo, best single coil ever!

  • All set on 12?? I thought these go up to eleven:D

  • Faces don't mean anything. Lots of people make faces when they play but they're all fake. Some aren't but a lot are

  • did anyone tell you that you´re quite similar to morrissey? tele sounds great

  • dude, not even gonna lie,

love the faces you make while playing

showing emotion while playing is epic

  • @ffguru15 - Thanks :)

  • dude your playing is really cool!

  • @broagan - Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it

  • @broagan - Thanks a lot man!

  • DAMN! i can't choose which is best? Strat or Tele?

  • omg ur strat is so fuckin freakin ugly that fucking colour 0-0

  • @justcrappy1 doesn't matter about color or looks :) just as long as it plays well

  • lol looks like you keep mumbling to yourself. =P

  • i like the twang and attitude of the tele a lot more, strat sounds so common...

  • nice video man !

both are beauties but i think i think i might have a slight preference for the tele...althought the neck pick up does not seem to be the original tele

  • Yeah, its a strat neck pickup put into the tele. I think its a nice upgrade, not so much of a fan of the lipstick pups.

  • you're the bossiest boss on youtube

  • this is some of the best playing i have ever heard you do i think.

  • Thanks. I think you would know best :)

  • rock on. i love your sweatshirt. looks sick.

  • Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with my camera. It is making the colors look weird, but I kind of like it.
