I am an environmental geologist and do science for a living. First, Jay H. Lehr is a fraud. He has less credibility than Al Gore.

Secondly, the global climate system is VERY complicated. Simplistic explainations like "sunspots" , "A cool Summer" etc.. do not mean a damn thing. The climate system is only about 80% understood. We do not know all the system factors nor how they all interact .

All we can say is over time, CO2 and temp have climbed together - and dramatically.

The idealized models of weather producing disturbances have been long since categorized. Our problem is to best fit the cyclogenesis and the frontolysis with what the numbers say. @charlitunaman2002 I believe you left out the biomass CO2 sink which is as large as the Ocean's. This makes the atmospheric CO2 sink extremely small in comparison. Ninety-six billion tons annually each from the ocean and about the same from the biomass. Only 6 billion tons annually from man made sources of which only half remains in the atmosphere. CO2 atmospheric turnover rate is approximately 5 years.

When I was first introduced to the global warming idea, it was from a pair of professors at a private school I attended back in 1967.

They were not trying to fool anybody, they were just adding up simple logic, and comparing it to the facts of the day.

Even in those technological dark ages, one of the predictable effects of our heating the atmosphere, is the heat is expected to cause the pendulum to swing the other way for a short time.

@MaxSafeheaD The link didn't work, but I didn't mention vulcanism because Venus-type shield-type vulcanism apparently isn't sufficient to sustain a healthy Carbon Cycle without enough tectonic activity. Old cracks and plumes from the mantle only release gases, and what's needed is subduction zones to recycle carbon. Of course today, there's no precip or oceans or helpful life on Venus for a healthy Carbon Cycle.
