Get it for serato, works great with DJFX and a TTM57sl, i would recommend getting a set of novation dicers and then you basically have serato mapped with midi
@comedyliker12 ya i got it and its actually pretty good tbh! it was well worth da money! da onli ting was dat it toook me a few days to get used to cos i didnt actually no how to play da keyboard lol! but now im well used to it and in the progress of making some songs! :)
LPD8 is a semi-pro build. It definitely is not a plug and play device which is misleading. You have to map the key notes in the editor to the pads. The keynotes in your DAW does not match the editor so you have to figure it out. C4 could be C1 on LPD8. Manual is technical not instructions on how to. Mainly no velocity controls on LPD8 and will take a NASA Engineer to implement it on LPD8. Obscure midi commands like CC & PC I've never seen and own MPK49, MPC 1000, etc. I'll rate it a 6 or 7.
cc is messages knobs/faders send to ur daw, u need to be able to customise those to be able to set differnt ccs to differnt banks so wen u flik bank ur flikkin the knobs u control on differnt instrument channels or mixer knobs + pan + volume on mixer/ send channels.
pc is wat qwerty typing keyboards send, some things arnt customiseable to cc but they are to pc plus u can have simitainous pc msgs as comands like shift+alt+a will mute 1st channel and so on so its kewl the lpd does that to!
really dont know how u fink ur fit to dish out advise on wats pro wen u dont know the basic types of info daws need to recive, im guessin you have to use ur mouse still to make music lol if you had lernt the basics of midi you could work so much more faster and eliminate the mouse maker your workflow very fast.
oh well good look with ur mpk that u dont even know how to use lol, have a nice life noob mysta.
n wat u mean c4 kud be c1???????? lol its mapped. pre mapped fine for battery kontact , ableton live/suite and so on it has 4 presets 2 keyboard 2 drumpad style presets in the typical sampler ocataves/keyranges. n its easy as cake to map unless ur usin some cheap piece of shit daw like fl studiowere note names arnt displayed on the crappy included instruments lol then ud be lost, but ud only be usin fl if u were a fuk faced noob anyway.
I really like this for tapping in drum parts to sequencers. It really make variable velocity drum part sound more natural than trying to poke them out on a piano keyboard. Very well built too. I also have the LPK25 and love it. Although another octave would have been nice so I'm not switching octave constantly when composing in Finale!
i've just got it had MPD32 recently and god, PADS ARE SICK!!! they are 100000 better than MPD32 no idea why... simply the best i used. Nano pad is a poor toy when compared. I was totaly shocked when i got such a cool pads for that money. only thing i dont like is only 4 programs, could be 8. peace.
the PADS do need a lot of pressure to register the hit tho, its made to be smashed i guess, so far im liking it, use it to trigger cuepoints on traktor pro and filters/effects
I would have liked more pads and less rotories. Basically a nanopad with pots rather than the crappy X/Y pad.
Having the USB input on the top rather than the side would also be a bonus as then it would nicely rest on the edges of two technics 1200s in batttle formation with a 10inch mixer in between without obstructing the the pitch slider.
ill use it 4 virtual dj ... lol jk
