  • Nice review. Just bought a SD myself. Unfortunately, brand new wasn't an option. These are becoming a lot more desirable as of late.

  • the best rolex

  • Farowey... Tu sabes de Rolex lo mismo que yo se de transbordadores espaciales...

  • I had one of these once - cost me $20 from a street vendor in NYC, but it only worked for 3 weeks so not good value for money. I would stay clear. ;-D

  • Ese no es un rolex original.

  • A watch like this goes with a good expensive car!--you can't have a watch like this and still live with your parents or drive a hyundai!-you just can't!

---or have small wrists! thats definitely a no-no!

  • I have the same watch.I bought it because everyone has sub,so I wanted smth different. If you want the best value for money, buy Rolex. You got in house mechanism, you got brand, quality and really beautiful, timeless watch.Sub and dweller are the best sport watches ever created.I´m not just die hard rolex fan,I respect Jaeger,Audemars, and love Panerai very much. All fantastic brands, but every watch lover has one Rolex at home. But I´d never ever buy or wear a gold Rolex.Period.

  • That's a genuine one not a fake.

  • Sorry, this is not a fake. If there are no holes, it is a sea dweller built after 2003. i didnt know that.

  • This is a fake watch!

You can see it at 0:39 as he turns the watch. You cant see the holes, where the wristband is attached at the watchcase.

This watch is worth less than 10 Dollars.

  • Ihave seen and hold the watch in a store, and it is really stunning to see and feel it in person.

  • why is this shit sooooooooo shit

  • Great copy watch must have cost you a few hundred dollars

  • @citic101

Explain why you think it's fake...

    @watchreport, great sea-dweller, obviously a real rolex

  • @causeofmyanger ! U got issues dude But your right that's why I've got 1 cuz I'm a rich bastard !!

  • @crathorne1 You're* a rich bastard? Yet, you can't spell, form a grammatically correct sentence, or type? You're* a fucking idiot, with your Rolex that you don't own.

  • @DangerD205 Command of the English language is not a prerequisite for owning a Rolex my friend.

  • @ColonelAllan

    It completes the effect though.

  • @DangerD205 your a cock mate ! 1 word COCK !

  • ROLEX-MOST OVERPRICED WATCH IN THE WORLD.

ONLY RETARDED RICH BASTARDS BUY THIS CRAP

  • Lovely review. One of Rolexs' finest timepiece. Will never get rid of mine...ever! TRF newbies sucks!

  • do you own all of these watches?

  • great review ....i am still considering between a Sub and the old Dweller...gotta make up my mind this year :)

  • @MarcS4R had the same dilemma ...SD all the way ...getting mine this week ,)

  • fake Rolex!!!!!

  • @300nem you are an idiot, this watch is gen

  • @300nem your brain is fake

  • very nice clock, I have the same ...

  • Everybody says "it sits higher than other rolex blablabla" but nobody actually wears it on the reviews to show that.. Put it on the wrist, already!

  • This is better than the typical sub date with cyclops.

  • I want the octopus

  • @apple4iphone

    sommozzatori, now it's value 50.000€

  • @amico1987 oh i heard 75.000 do u no to 1

  • @apple4iphone I know those who would sell 1 or 2! interest?

  • i have fake look kind like that but was grey !!!

  • Very informative review.

  • Watch the fucking film!!!!

  • why doesnt this have a cyclops?

  • great watch!

  • very nice watch

  • Rolex Sea-Dweller, the nicest watch ever made.

  • This watch looks almost identical to 007 Omega's planet ocean black on black.

  • I had i rolex but i wiil never buy another one because i was stoole when i was going to give to my son yeah that was sad

  • @JoaoBSK Don't give up

  • @JoaoBSK my mother got one for her birthday whn she was in highschool, it got stolen too. she just bought another one when she got married

  • @sovietninja3 and when she had you.... she had to think of your college fund... so she sold it the first day when you were born...

  • @Bossiiiii ummmm no, she still has it. i have more than enough money to go to college. and by the way, my mom bought one for my dad for his birthday 2 months ago

  • the milguass also has writing on the back

  • Another thing I like about this watch are the little touches like using white gold on the outline of the hour markers. That is something that sets Rolex apart. If it's not something you care about, there are less expensive watches out there. I love the look of an Omega on a NATO strap, for example.

  • Love my Dweller. Over 8 years in daily use and still looks great and keeps perfect time.

  • @1000diesel Do you get approached by people in the street about it?

  • @mrdominc Thanks a lot. I bought a pre-owned one a couple of weeks ago. I paid £2000.

  • ask ur self is it worth 7 grand

  • @Blink180stu you pay for the name seiko watches are as if not more acurate and are just as good of a diving watch as this. i find rolex watches a total waste of money

  • @medusa1931 its just rich consumer whores that are willing to buy one of these things although i have to say the watch does look pretty cool

  • @Blink180stu or people who like watches and like good watches, but can also afford them

  • @medusa1931 I'm sorry, did you write something? I stopped reading after about 3 words, due to you being a FUCKING MORON.

  • @Blink180stu only if u can afford it. lol you're poor

  • Does anybody know the retail price of this watch?

  • @micallmighty it retails for £5339.

  • @micallmighty - It's $6250 retail, but has been discontinued so some unauthorized dealers might try to charge more. There are still enough to go around where you should not have to pay a mark up, but those days are eventually going to end when inventories dwindle.

  • Beautiful watch but why does Rolex feel it's necessary to write a paragraph on its dials? They should take some lessons from Sinn watches.

  • You should also consider the OMEGA Seamaster professional. It has a larger face and hands easier to read. Also has Helium escape valve and is quality made. The Omega also costs about 75% less.

Rolex should use Tritium for the luminescence as never dims.

  • Yeah buddy, we get what "black on black" means. You don't have to point out the black bezel and black dial.

  • nice

  • Makes my Omega look like a timex

  • If you get tired of that watch, I can give it a nice home ;)

  • I'm currently wearing a 30 year old Oyster.. My fathers.. love the review dude

  • Wheres the magnifer

  • @Dante2008Allen No magnifier on a Sea Dweller because the crystal is too thick - a magnifier wouldnt work.

  • I have the fake version to this. it works pretty well

  • I have owned one of these since 2003 and worn it every day , I'm a builder and wear it to work. its been very good. the first service cost £200 and the most recent service was £410 due to the fact it needed a new crown and crystal. rolex uk recomended a new strap but I thought £700 was a bit much. it is a good watch but doubt it is any better in the real world than a good seiko for a quarter of the price. I've been wearing it for 7 years and thats just my opinnion.

  • hi

i have this one but his age like 35

excellent condition no scratch or something like that

i wonder how much it can cost?

  • torn between this and the breitling seawolf ti? whats your opinion?

  • Very nice watch...! It resembles my Omega Seamaster 300 chronograph. I was wondering what is the specific model number of this watch? Again, Beautiful watch!

  • ive got a 2009 v serial model , last of a few made for uk market , best thing ive ever owned !!!!!!!!

  • This is the only watch I own... I'll be getting mine PVD black coated in a year.

  • i owned one great solid watch

  • I bought one of these ,I had to decide between this and the Submariner ,but I liked the chunky feel of this watch .I didn't know about the bracelet extension until I saw this video ,so thanks for that .

  • No cyclops because of the already thick profile.....incorrect. There is no cyclops because a cyclops weakens the crystal and would be subject to cracking under extreme pressure.

  • Minor correction: The cyclops magnification would not be "correct" due to the thickness/ distance from the date window on the dial. The cyclops on Rolex watches is only glued to the crystal and has no bearing on the strength of the crystal itself.

  • Watches always attracts me

  • How do you judge watches?

  • How accurate are these? (+/- secs)

  • M Serial here....never parting with it.

  • Rolex Sea-Dweller the one and only

  • @johntorcasio shit thing

  • You're clearly an ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @beanoalbum that's not the correct explanation. A cyclops would only compromise the entire oyster case at extreme pressure. Sea Dweller acquired its 1200M depth rating thanks to the way it was designed, not for cosmetic reasons nor whims from uninformed wannabes that wouldn't even know how to work out Bühlmann decompression tables.

  • so do all rolex have sapphire fronts or just this one?

  • yeah they all have sapphire crystals now - older ones used to have a plastic crystal.

  • thanks

  • An all time classic which never will go out of style. And a very good investment too! I consider it way more elegant than the succeeding model the Deepsea.

  • Couldn't agree with you more on this! Personally, I think the new DeepSea is simply overkill. The original has been and will ALWAYS be the legendary watch for divers and has the record and history to match. GO SEA DWELLER!

  • I agree; I think that the big watch craze will go out of style in a few years.

  • Yes, this original SeaDweller will go down as one of Rolex's finest and most iconic sports watches. The new DeepSea is an amazing piece of engineering. However, its origin stems more from Rolex marketing than real need. 4,000 feet is plenty deep enough and most folks don't ever go below 1,000 feet, if that deep - ever. So what's the point in developing a 13,200 feet DeepSea? Simply overkill IMHO. Yes, this SeaDweller's place in Rolex's history will live on forever.

  • @dinan545bmw

oil rig divers on platforms are some of the most highly paid people on earth. it's a really shitty job but they all wear and stand by these watches because of it's sturdiness and depth. plus it's tax deductible for them

  • i like it.

  • I feel like such a dummy. I bought a rolex submariner with the bubble over the calendar. I saw James Bond wearing them all these years and had to have it.

I haven't gone so far as to buy a walther ppk, though. I buy American like the colt 45 ACP and smith & wesson 357 magnum.

  • You aint Bond if you aint sporting the PPK...;D

  • ...look up a seiko spring drive. much more accurate than a rolex. the second hand is so fluid, it makes the rolex look like its ticking!

=) i like omega better haha!

  • This watch is absolutley beautiful !

  • @gilamonster001 its shit i make better shit out of my ass.

  • Comment removed

  • I love this Sea Dweller.. Its cool.. I have about 20 pcs of sport rolex sport... The model and accurancy is great.. share..man

  • I just took my Sea-Dweller to the shop to be serviced and it is going to cost £310! Certainly not cheap but it has been losing time and could do with a tune up.

I love my Sea-Dweller and now I'm going to be without it for approximately 8 weeks! I hope it comes back all shiny though.

  • maximusben1, SEIKO Diver's automatic watches, while not with Swiss movements, are quite accurate for the price. In fact, one can go to a watchsmith and tweak the SEIKO automatic movements to be nearly as close as Swiss COSC or even quartz accuracy!

So why pay zillions for a Swiss high-end, when a good looking SEIKO Diver's will do almost just as well! ;-)

  • And how would you know???

  • cause when you unscrew the crown the seconds should stop.

  • The SD's second hand does stop when the crown is pulled into the "Hands Setting Position", but since that position is only reached if you pull the crown out ALL the way, the second hand does continue to run in the first two positions. The first position is called the "Hand Winding Position", and the second is the "Date Setting Position". If the crown is pulled out into these positions, the second hand still runs, it only stops in the third position, basically so you can sync exact time. Thanks.

  • how much u pay?

  • Is that a replica watch or genuine watch.....?

  • This is genuine. I know.

  • Rolex Sea Dweller is a piece of high engeenering., much better than Submariner and Deepsea.

  • good review - definitely better than the Submariner

  • Dear Rolex Company,

I know your watches stand for tradition. I know your watches stand for quality. I know your watches stand for classic design. Damn..I know all that, but when in hell´s name will you make ACCURATE WATCHES??? At least you could invest some of the money we customers spend buying your watches in doing some research and development on more accurate movements...instead of wasting so much on progaganda and publicity.

    That´s all. Best regards

  • i agree with you 100% , i have had to have mine adjusted twice now . hey if you want to buy a good dive watch that you can use and abuse buy a citizen or seiko . sorry rolex .

  • Mechanical watches are not bought for the fact that they keep perfect time, if you need that you get a quartz. My watch is +6 sec a day, inside the cosc standards. Do i care, no.

  • If you want an accurate watch, don't buy a mechanical movement. Even a 10$ timex is more accurate than the best of mechanical movements. For me, anything in -15 to + 15 seconds a day is acceptable, but of course, when I buy a COSC certified movement, I expect the -4/+6 a day...you buy a mechanical watch for the elegance, the essence of human ingenuity...not for precise timing...and Rolex by the way, are very precise as most of them of within COSC.

  • i bought a preowned breitling colt gmt at authorized dealer. very accurate gaining 1 second a day i'm too impressed. just purchased a rolex gmt master 2 i'm curious about the accuracy.

  • How much did you pay for the colt gmt?

  • It was a good deal suggestion price about $2895 but i paid $1550 tax included.

  • Nah, you're all wrong, the reason the Seadweller doesn't have a "date magnifier" has nothing to do with "profile" or "pressure under sea", but instead because if you put a date magnifier on a crystal that thick, the date becomes too magnified, and thus, warped beyond what Rolex was comfortable with allowing.

Sheesh, I swear, watch knowledge is a dying art.

  • I agree trev ,they are very basic and overpriced. They are great watches thou, just very unconvenient.

  • not a fashion accsessory? yea it is, its pure pimping!

  • Excellent!

Yeah, if you get a deep sea, PLEASE do a review!

  • can u please tell me what cost ?

  • Rolex Basement Dweller next?

  • Nice watch but not worth the 4 or 5 grand in my book.

  • i think that rolexes are now getting a really expected look they don't sput different to me you see so ma watches with the same design personally i don't even like rolex gmt's and submariners they just looks a bit boring and annoying actually.

  • of course they are. it's a mass produced watch that commands a high retail. Rolex will gladly sell you one.

  • you understand that rolex stopped producing these a while back? right?

but perhaps you've seen one at an AD?

  • Are these still available at AD's?

  • This is a classic Rolex tool watch unlike the so-called "Deep Sea", which is too big and too much of a fashion watch.

  • Yeah Rolexes do seem to be status symbols these days but you can't deny the fact that this is one awesome watch?

  • Are you serious? Invicta's are crap.

  • hunrb27, if you're so much against the oh so evil status symbol, why are you still recommending a 4 figure watch? Where does your status threshold begin exactly?

  • Tag Heuer and Breitling are the best_

  • Thanks for taking the time to review this, much appreciated.

  • fake watch is for fake people....like you hahhaa

  • Great review, actually all your reviews are really well explained and easy to understand, thank you

  • Great watch - nice review!

    I love those "None-Cyclops-Models" like SeaDweller-116660, Daytona-4130 or Submariner-3130 with a pure symmetric dial/clockface. Awesome!

  • "This is not a fashion accessory"....but it IS!!!!

  • Truly a magnificent timepiece. I managed to get the last one in State College right before Christmas. Thank God because the new Deep-Sea is enormous in comparison and about $4,000 more.

  • it's true, its much more of a functional tool than something you can wear with anything like the older one.

  • No question its a classic watch, but a Seiko does the job just as well for under 200 bucks. ( the orange monster). The Rolex is strictly ego. Obviously, the case is vastly superior but .. its around five thousand dollars more than a Seiko or other similar Divers watch.

  • A seiko cant dive as deep as a Rolex but no human can either, A rolex will need a $500 service every 4-5 years. The Rolex is almost $10,000 you say, why is this, justify the price, you are getting ripped off just for the name. The movement inside the Rolex dosent even compare to some of Seiko's movements for less than half the price. You must be a noob.

  • Your right, i could NEVER afford a Rolex, but if you think having money and buying a Rolex makes you upper class you are sorely mistaken. But with a reply like"Suck my dick" its obvious that you not 'upper class'.

  • wtf are you talking about its not because i can afford a submariner that i will be angry about people giving their opinion its not normal to have a rolex dude only rich people can afford one i can thank you because of my parents and i appreciate and DonMega, Rolex watches are perfect PERIOD

  • you cant compare a mercedez benz car to a toyota car...meaning seiko is for poor people like you hahahha

  • you obviously dont know alot about watches lol

  • i own one stupid...lol

  • own a what?

  • So you're saying that your expensive watch spends a lot of time in the repair shop while his Japanese watch ticks along day in & day out without missing a beat.

  • duh? what are you talking about? swiss watches are the best ,japanese is only known for their cars...

  • Maybe along time ago, now when you buy Swiss your paying for 'Swiss Made' on your watch, the Japanese make extremely high quality movement in their watches

  • Seiko make watches that sell for 6 figures!
