  • The one dislike is from Chuck Norris.

  • I like the facts that there are no dislikes.

  • I was playing with the soccer ball after listening to this and I felt like I was doing better because things were just flowing smoothly, like water.

  • Bruce Lee was not only a master of physical reality, but also the reality of the mind!

  • Not only should we each become "like water", I think we should all unite to become a "RIVER OF HUMANITY"!

  • I'm thirsty now.

  • "Water can flow, or it can crash."

It's referring to how a gentle stream of water, and how water from a waterfall that erodes rock, shows the versatility of water. As much as ekusama008 has described it, for a person to adapt is but one point. Bruce was using it in terms of 功夫, however, to describe a kung fu warrior as water neutralizing offensive forces with ripples (flowing with the attack to reduce damage done), and striking the foe with equal offense. (water eroding rock)

    DEM TROLLS

  • @COZYTW another person over interpreting this and ruining the meaning with ignorance, i can't believe how many people are twisting this.

  • @verifymyageful Two fellows look at an elephant's tusk.

One sees a banana, the other sees a phone.

Do not assert your viewpoint that there's only one way to interpret it.

    Bitch.

  • @COZYTW I am not saying that there aren't other view points, and that mine is the right one.. I am stating what he actually means.. One sees a banana and one sees a phone but neither see an elephant's tusk.. so both are wrong you moron, and neither see it for what it actually is, so obviously there is going to be an actual meaning.

  • @verifymyageful ... Sigh...

You know the 4 worst feelings one can feel?

Full Bladder, taking a shit while your stomach hurts, feeling like you don't belong...

The last? Talking mad shit and having nothing to account for.

What makes you so adamant, that others have a wrong viewpoint, when you have no bloody idea what the actual meaning is?

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Quit fucking around and move it, troll.

  • @COZYTW You know the funny thing is.. by playing against the game you are actually taking a part in it, you are doing the same thing.. and I would disagree, taking a shit when your stomach hurts and a full bladder doesn't really rank up

  • @verifymyageful What game? "Taking a part" in what?

First off, this isn't even a game. It's an interpretation of what one experiences and realizes when he watches the video. So in the first case, THERE'S NO FUCKING GAME.

Secondly, what would you know? You've never held your pee until you release it unconsciously, you've never taken shit when your stomach really hurts (Not the food-poisoning bullcrap).

Finally, to take this as a game, you just lost to something imaginary. That's how bad you fail.

  • @COZYTW Haha, you have so much to learn :D, it is all a game, and I won't elaborate.. perhaps you should watch some Alan Watts videos, and what I am saying is that by you telling me not to assert my viewpoint over others is the same thing.. as asserting your viewpoint over others lol. Your words from early are contradictory and that is all you ever get when you our stuck in the game of a double-binded society.

  • @COZYTW The gap in our understanding is I know that my individuality is an illusion but you are completely succumbed to it.. I am quite impress by how well you are hidden.

  • @verifymyageful That's, in my eyes, an excuse one makes in the first stage in denial.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'd cure from watching reality dramas.

However, may I suggest that you attempt 'playing' this game with someone who actually knows the topic, because you look like a fucking douche now. Not just to me, to everyone. Your comments are being recorded as we speak, and don't worry, I'm sure your idiocy would become viral.

  • @COZYTW lol, so hmm lets see.. in the beginning it was me that shouldn't have given my perspective over others.. lets see what you are doing now, and I agree I shouldn't have done that in the beginning, the game is finding yourself.. We are all playing this game whether we know it or not, you still don't see why it is a game though and that is why what you are saying is going to stay contradictory, it is very funny indeed once you get it, but go on, "humiliate" me with your own ignorance lol

  • @verifymyageful oh and I see you like video games.. either stick with that or learn some more before commenting in the philosophical area of youtube, thanks for the laughs!

  • @verifymyageful You type like "Doctor Who". I'd just say this now, but you type like the Doctor.

In any case, I find it completely horrid in your case. "Humiliate" you with my ignorance? No. I stay true to my point, you think however you like. Be it that way. You speak like you have a good idea on what you're typing. What you don't know, is that comments like yours makes people hate others from other nations. Look at it. It has stereotypical writings all over it. Stare at it.

  • @COZYTW Ahh, my bad you are right, I see how people could take some of my comments, but thats not the way I mean it, I in fact play video games all the time.. mainly I just watch anime but video games are fun too, but that's beside the point.. you told me my comments were idiotic because you didn't know what they were about and you thought I should tell you what I was thinking but where is the fun in that? Why so serious?

  • @verifymyageful Because unlike women, men have a need to make sense!

  • @COZYTW SO, that's your understanding then? Okay that is fine but just don't take things to seriously.. or else they are no longer fun! Enjoy the ride not the destination.

  • NO negative votes?... EPIC

  • "Put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put water into a teapot it becomes the teapot. If you skin someone you admire, empty their body out and pour water into them...sadly you don't become that person but you come pretty damn close."

  • Be water my friends.

  • even in death he is still my hero.

  • BE WODAH!

  • There will be no other man like Bruce Lee...

  • legend..

  • Wataaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!! you're dead lmao...that's what bruce lee meant...

  • @carlitoltu1 thats not what he means. water can be stopped. ever heard of a dam? and im pretty sure the water isn't moving when its sitting in my cup..

  • Be sweet lemonade my friend...

  • water does not strive, it simply responds - like in The Last Samurai, "mind sword, mind opponent... too many mind. no mind." water is the principal of wu wei. in a fight you don't "try to hit" your opponent, you interact with him. you become him. you don't trap yourself within the confines of your mind (ego), you stand outside yourself and watch yourself react. desire of any kind can be corrosive, the desire to be dominant, and the desire to be passive. be neither, "be water my friend".

  • "Stay thirsty my friends..."

  • This was the commercial which made Evaristo "Risto" Mejide so famous in Spain.

  • My interpretation is that he discussed one's adaption to changes, which is a sign of personal growth. Water changes form according to its surrounding (ex. cup, bottle, teapot). One should adjust oneself to different situations and conditions that one is in. You don't have to be assertive, only adapt to the system or environment and you'll find a way through it.

  • @ekusuma008 To simplify for people. Improvise

  • @ekusuma008 well yes but in my opinion he meant it in a martial arts sence because his style was the style with no style like you said adaptation in martial arts is key he could form and mould into any situation in fighting and could flow with the opponents martial art which was basically the message of bruce lees unreleased film game of death im not correcting you by the way just giving my opinion

bruce lee is a legend teacher and a great human being R.I.P your legacy will never be forgotten

  • @ekusuma008 It is correct. This analogy can be applied in our human behavior for personal growth. If someone doesn't get the point, try to meditate on it. It's very useful! Love & Peace!

  • @ekusuma008 Yes, goes well with what Rickson Gracie says: "Flow with the GO". To adapt. I do believe Bruce also meant that If you are "formless", "shapeless", then you are in the "no mind state". Empty your mind and your every movement is a 'flow', you are flowing like water, you can imitate it, you can in a sense become it, and it will be difficult to hit you. And water can CRASH!

  • @ekusuma008 no, he means go with the flow.. your interpretation contradicts the whole statement! He is saying don't resist, it is okay to know that things are a game but going along with it can be better

  • @ekusuma008 He said "Be water". If you start interpretating it then you start thinking and then you aren't water, you are thoughts :).

  • @ekusuma008 My take on it is that you should acknowledge all forms, but don't be attached to any form. To not get lost in the world, in forms, but to know that you ARE the world, you are the forms. And although you allow and acknowledge that everything is as it is, you always act appropriately and naturally out of this acceptance of how things go. May it be with a gentle smile and breath, or sometimes a bone-crushing karate-kick.

  • @ekusuma008

    That's exactly what he meant!

  • even though it's from a movie, it's a strong piece of filosofy of life... love it

  • @yhnick one day u will understand it, water is calm, but when the water has to be powefull the water can win the fire, rocks and everything, so now u can understand a bit more what does he mean

  • he is so sexy and his voice is so hot

  • fuck he was a good actor

  • Bruce Lee was one of the most moving humans in the world :)

  • In Soviet Russia, WATER BECOMES YOU!

  • You put water into Chuck Norris...;)

  • bruce lee rules!

  • Spike Spiegel taught me this already.

  • his Accent is so cool !!!!!

  • He's just quoting himself in a classic movie segment.

  • I want to become the TEAPOT!!!

  • You put water into Russia, it becomes the water...

  • @rgb446666 wtf?

  • Legend.

  • lol I know that from pokemon~ XD

  • We are the evolution of our constraints...

  • im not usually a dumb ass, but what is he trying to say in this... just be ready to adapt to anything basically? :/

  • @dasudosomia in a sense. flow smoothly but don't loose control, but don't over control. in martial arts for example, if you think too much in a match, you will over think it and be mechanical, you won't move as fast, and you won't fight well, your opponent will beat you. if you don't think at all, then its unscientific, you won't do much you will not have control of your opponent. balance them out like water, water flows smoothly but take upon the shape of anything it is in.

  • @a7x3186 well then i think i need to learn to be more like water, i find whenever i fight or spar im always too "mechanical" i always overthink.. bleh i need to train my mind more... damit bruce how did u do it!!! :[

  • @a7x3186 not exactly... when you watch the full interview you'll see that this was his reply to which form of martial arts does he take up... or something like that.... so that 's why he answered as so..... as in... not to be constrained by any forms... be like water.. take any form depending on the situation

  • How do I empty my mind?.............I just wrote these for you to read it, you have said the question to yourself, if you said it from the heat, the answer will be given to you.

  • @PedroDZ .............stop.

  • @PedroDZ One word bro...... Meditation

  • And here is the question... what is a method to empty your mind?

  • He is too amazing.

  • Please change the settings and DO NOT allow comments on this classic piece of film! Bruce deserves it. :)
