Had one for 9.5 years. Then i had to put him asleep. osteosarcoma...one of the best dogs i ever had. The only problem is they are so sensitive and prone to alergies. Spent a lot of time at vets...Special personality

@Soho1977 ..Had a white bully too. Almost 15 jr. The first ten years we went desperate of his allergies, pickles on his nose, red feet with inflammation between toes).. injections from Vet (cortisol what made him almost blind) and lots of pill's..His health was very bad.

We stopped giving fabricated dogfood..no artificial couloured stuff ed

Brown rice cooked with carrots and some vegetables/fruit banana's they bully's like all  ..sardines fish oil..no/ less meat ..till end life no rash anymore

@cleetjec The food could have been hte reason too. But at some poin in his life we cooked the food for him and that barely made any difference. It's probably dog specific...some are more sensitive than the others...

Awesome dog. Many people might confound they with pitbulls, but they're extremely friendly, goofy.

BTW, this concept of pitbulls being aggressive is pure stereotype. Pitbulls approach depends on the raise by they're master. Many people have pitbulls only to guard something (house, property) and usually don't feed them, don't treat them well. Of course any dog that receive that kind of poor treatment (not only pitbulls) will become angry, aggressive and unfriendly.

Keep that in mind.

Bull Terriers are actually the rated the best bread of dogs for small children and families. They will let children tug on them but can be very defensive against strangers.

i own one of these dogs and i can tell you that you have to be fairly strong to own one of these because there strength is off the scale, they will drag you around the streets. i also own a staff bull terrier , but he can not compete with the EBT when it comes down to strength and power, they must of been pure killing machines back in the day.

All dogs are what their owners make of them. Pitbulls are sweet dogs. A mean pitbull just means a lousy owner. The dog isn't a bad dog unless the owner raises it to be. Even then the dog isnt bad, it just needs training. All dogs can be friendly if you are a good pet owner. Any dog can be mean if raised wrong. I get tired of hearing pits getting a bad name. Shepherds bite more people every year than pits do and by a large margin. There's mean Chihuahuas and Yorkies out there too. Blame owners.

Juggalo72 i wish you would do your research. Whoever is responsible for comparing a pit bull and a bull terrier is stupid, very different background. its a common misconception that they are similar is breeding. And if they were the same it wouldn't be anything negative pit bulls are very affectionate and attach to their owner. I have a 15 month old bull terrier sweetest dog you can ever wish for, rare that they become dog aggressive. the only thing about having a kid is the age of the kid.

These dogs are sweeties, i have a 2 yr old female, they are clowns. You never hear of a English Bull Terrier (bullies) attacking a person, unlike pitbulls which are always in the news for attacking a dog or person. Bullies are not an easy dog to train, they are stubborn, need lots of exersize, and they love to chew, anything !
