As a daughter of a flower child who went to Woodstock, who grew up to marry her soulmate who is Persian, and went to his country with him after 25 years being away since the revolution, let me say only, this song means so much to me. And that we are walking hand in hand, today.
Am I the only one who wants her to do an Arabic version of this song for the people of Egypt?? Thanks for sharing your heart, music, and ideas with the world. You are very inspiring for a young person such as myself.

When I think of the changes Mrs. Kirchner is carrying out in Argentina, my country, this song immediately pops in my head. Thank you, Mrs. Baez. I admire your constant pledge for peace and social justice thorugh art, which is, in my view, the best way to protest. .
It's amazing the power that she unlocks by connecting the plight of Iranians to the struggles for freedom we've witnessed over the last 50 years. Thanks.
In all my travels two countries have stood out in terms of the friendliness of their peoples - Malawi and Iran. Malawi is so very poor but they are simply lovely. In Iran you just get cheerful waves, hugs and food. I love them and I do so hope that things will get better.
