  • i like how they wrote fuel on the gas cap ... like are you fucking serious dodge. this car has always been a joke go mustangs!

  • Thats the car I want. But I want a 6 speed transmission.

  • I'd also very much would like to know the song played during the first segment.

  • whats the song in the backround

  • I'm so tired of cars that were meant to be driven in manual only being manufactured in automatic. So glad some cars still offer manual transmission.

  • The fucking gt stock are running 12 flat to the 11 the mustang has a better hp weight ratio then the 392. So SOF and blueduster shut up. And people go look at the cars and seat in them the 392 with its plain plastic look. Haha

  • @Blueduster74 your an idiot the 392 is not faster the only thing the 392 has is its top speed stop making up storys the 392 inside what cause the seats have stripe its better is not fact.

  • i fucking love muscle cars

  • DOWN WITH AUTOMATICS DOWN WITH AUTOMATICS still a very good review

  • man i drink 2 much.@ 1st thought that shit said powered by hyundai.haha

  • I WANT IT MANUAL RIGHT NOW I SELL MY GRANDMA FOR IT :'(

  • I hope Dodge sees fit to give the 2013 Challenger the Charger's far superior dash and the new 8-speed transmission for those who prefer automatics.

  • @LeftyStratPlayer I sooo agree with you. And I'm putting a deposit down as soon as it happens.

  • nice b. slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Lmao 2:22

  • kicks the zl1s ass every time

  • from 0-100 km/h how long does it take????

  • @MyZwarrior 4.4 sec

  • i love this car!!!!!!!!!

  • PLEASE PLEASE NATHAN ANSWER MY QUESTION!

im getting the SRT8 manual. one question though, is it better than the mustang 5.0? because i have alot of people down my throat telling me how i will get my ass kicked by the mustang and i should get it instead

  • @coneishtel You do indeed get more bang-for-your-buck from the Mustang 5.0 – especially if it’s the Boss 302. On paper and on the track, the Mustang is the winner; however, personally, I would get the Dodge Challenger SRT8. I think the SRT8 has tons of character. The SRT8 is friggn' sweet looking, more comfy, very fun to drive, a better day-to-day driver and in the right hands, it can out pace a Mustang 5.0. In the end, it’s up to that little voice in your had. Let us know what you decide!

  • @NathanDAdlen Thank you very much for your time. i willl take your words into thought. i really love the srt8 it does have alot of character and the retro look is unbeatable. hopfully im the right hands and i'll make sure it goes on two wheels one day. i will post again when i get it and link the picture :)

  • @NathanDAdlen

see 392drags on youtube; these cars are running mid to low 12s and are running harder and faster than GT's

  • @coneishtel This looks just so much better than the mustang. I see Mustangs everyday...But this, this is something special.

  • @kop4321 i have to agree!

  • @coneishtel it may out perform the challenger, get better gas mileage and have lots of aftermarket parts more than a dodge but if you like the challenger get it. its wat u want not what they want

  • @coneishtel the srt is a little faster stock but there is a ton of aftermarket support or the stangs. there is half as much for the dodge and the '11/'12 don't have tuners available yet as chrysler has made their system tough to crack. all that said, if you plan to drive it daily, have kids, buddys to go with on a road trip or a wife (like me) who is as tall as i am, you will be 10 times happier with the dodge. the mustang interior sucks. it's cramped and the controls aren't as well designed.

  • @blueduster74 i was at the san diego auto show new years weekend. every person that was checking out the cars all said the same thing. people were highly disappointed with the mustang interior. i know i was. i had an old 89 5.0 and it is laid out better. the only thing better in the new one was the seat. not by much. i pales even to the regular rt seats. don't even compare them to the srt.the camaro was closer to the dodges but you have major blind spots and it is a bitch to park.

  • Whoa whoa whoa, I thought the R/T model only had the MDS where it goes down to 4 cylinders...does he kno what he is talking about??

  • sexy as fuck and the engine makes me feel good

  • Now I need to trade in my 2010 R/T

  • Challenger or Camaro.

  • No question the challylooks great but it takes a srt8 to hang with a 5.0 or ss. Needs to be 500+hp and faster to justify the shelby like price tag. RT should be this fast.

  • Why is this fool paddle shifting with his left hand????

  • @blaknite1 so he can hold the camera ??

  • I hate the new srt8 wheels. The first srt8 wheels were much cooler.

  • @blaknite1 Those are the inaugural edition wheels. The other wheels are still available.

  • are u using two srt8 392 challengers? at one point it had blue stripes and then it didnt

  • Got to say 20mpg isnt very impressive I get 27 in my blown and cammed mustang with 3.73 gears making 530 RWHP at 75 mph in town though I get like 10

  • i love California

  • they need to fix this interior and make it like the chargers. looks like something id get from a price range of a kia atm.

  • this beat is sick as hell man

  • if i couldn't decide... i would just test drive a camaro ss and a srt8... then buy which ever felt faster to me.

  • I would like to see a four door or low top wagon like the Magnum.

  • why is he shifting with his left hand????? Get this guy out of that car please.

  • This should run on the AWD platform that the Grand Cherokee SRT8 has and it might be amazing, looks the best though. A true American beauty.

  • the hell with that stupid cylinder deactivation shit, that robs power substantially, moving all that car under 4cyl pwr is as ridiculous as it sounds, Cadillac tried the same thing 30yrs ago with it's cars and it was a disaster, let me have the standard V8 Hemi with nothing else to slow it down. period.

  • @BlacKnightRising It doesn't slow it down at all. It only activates when cruising on flat roads and at highway speeds. You don't feel it kick in at all. You hit the gas and it goes straight back to the full 8 cylinders with no problems. 30 years ago the technology wasn't there like it is now, that's why it failed. With a performance chip you can deactivate it anyway if you don't like it. Why you wouldn't want to get better mileage when cruising long distances though is beyond me.

  • even if u can deactivate the cylinder change program, I just don't trust an engine that fluctuates like that and there must be a slight lag between cylinder changing, that split sec slows the car down and adds (in my opinion) unecessary complications where none is needed, and if u want to save gas, don't be a leadfoot, or buy a real 4cyl boring car, if u want performance, u need the full V8 comitment not this detour 'round it. u can't have both no matter how much u pretend

  • @BlacKnightRising It only kicks in when your crusing on the high way, and its' v8 is almost instantaneous when you give it more throttle.

  • @cacman1993 yea but the new SRT8 Jeep GRand Cherokee has the same setup and it's slower than the previous models half sec, not only slower, but heavier, 471lbs heavier, sheesh, even with 50 more hp, it can't beat the previous model, it's a shame, but when I buy a Hemi, I don't want to hear some 4cyl, I mean c'mon! that rumble is music, and it's being subdued with this ridiculous cyclinder deactivation nonsense, at least when u buy the Challenger u can choose the engine setup, for now anyway

  • @BlacKnightRising We've come a long way in technology since 30 years ago. The cylinder deactivation is smooth and unnoticeable in newer cars.

  • @SuperJeepz yea and the new Jeep SRT8 is a half sec slower in the qtr mile and every other test compared to the previous version, nobody needs to hear a buzzing 4cyl Hemi V8 with it's cyclinders deactivated, it's absurd, and uneeded in a performance SUV, period.

  • @BlacKnightRising yeah, if you are buying a 6.4 v8 you dont care about gas =]

  • @BlacKnightRising then buy the manual, assclown

  • @SOFSoldier1 well douchbag I already have the automatic in my SRT8 Jeep and the Challenger would have the stick, genius, btw what makes u think the cyl deactivation doesn't go with the stick as well? what makes u, "think" period.

  • @BlacKnightRising only the automatics have that, my 6 speed doesn't

  • @R7300 ur 6spd doesn't have it cuz u didn't order the engine that has it, but it's on the options list, so the six spds can be setup the same way

  • Comment removed

  • @BlacKnightRising actually just checked it and you are wrong, auto is the only way to get MDS. Makes sense with RPM fluctuation as well

  • @R7300 well I see the SRT guys are smarter than I gave 'em credit for, u don't buy cars like this for gas savings, just the awsum adrenaline rush, just like I didn't by my Jeep SRT to trailer stuff around or go off roadin', just haulin' ass is all

  • @BlacKnightRising it only deactivates cylinders when you're not full throttle, at full throttle all 8 cylinders are working and you get max power. Besides the dodge hemi has enough slowing it down with being made by dodge.

  • @torogami2 yea and when it does deactivate, much like in the new SRT8 Jeep, which in my opinion is ruined buy gaining 471lbs and getting taller and wider, but.....that's another topic, meanwhile nobody needs to hear 4cyl buzzing in a bad ass Hemi, don't u get that??? the rumble of the V8 working "ALL" the time is what's music to a muscle car lovers' ears and if u don't get that, there's really no point in explaining it to u

  • @BlacKnightRising it'd be good if there was an option fior the driver to put the engine in an eco mode that only uses 4 cylinders when they want to

  • @torogami2 heh u really don't get the point do u, if u want "eco" mode, (God I hate all this bullshit green energy liberal fear mongering crap) buy a Miata, buy a prius, buy any slow, boring and ultra underpowered car out there, muscle cars aren't ment to be "eco" moded, this is sooooo riDICulous! when I drive my Hemi, I want to hear ALL of it, these cars are power rods and nothing less than that, and if u don't get it, I can't explain it to u any further, it's pointless.

  • @BlacKnightRising i understnd what you're wanting out of a car, you're the one not understanding we can't be dick motorists. The new M5 is 30% more economical than the old one, but isn't any slower, it's faster. That's called progress in all areas, a true engineering piece. if you want pure noise, buy a bicycle and put a hemi on that.

  • yea the new srt steering wheel is gross. 2011 srt wheel is better. and who the fuck wants paddle shifters on an american muscle?

  • im disappointed, thought they would change the exterior, and i loved the interior on the old one, love my dads challenger but sorry dad still boring

  • 0:53 YUCKY! look at that fuckin steering wheel. i dont mind the flat bottom but it just doesnt look right. i like the 2011 steering wheel way more

  • @stk931 and paddle shifters? wtf!

  • wooohhooo for the camaro zr1

  • 2012 BOSS blows this car away in every test! And it does it with 302ci and less brake HP. Maybee next year DODGE will surprise us. Chevy might too! Let the Pony car wars begin!!!

  • @Farming406 really? Such as? Quarter mile? No......G's...? No.....skidpad?....No

  • Supercharged it took it to the dyno 727 hp :) thts wassup haha

  • ZL1 looks dumb, Challenger looks like a musclecar

  • watching video... mmmmh this looks nice.... 0:54 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH IT'S AN AUTOMATIC! WHY GOD WHY!!

  • Good god get it in a stick, auto trans suck.

  • Whats the difference between this and the 2011 ?

  • I test drove this thing and now it's a the top of my list of wanted cars!

  • I agree since I own one (well...a loaded RT) Major deciding factor was the room - I take my family of 5 cruisin and get plenty of compliments. Camaro is sharp but almost cartoonish to me - and like the Stang, only seats 4 - barely. And on a side note, I don't want what everybodys driving, y'know.

  • The most beautiful muscle car in the world! By far!

  • challengers mog is only 13/18

    sad

  • the camaros looks, mustangs interior looks and dependability and challengers raw fucking power. i believe if there was a car made like that that it would be the best damn car that has ever existed. but unfortunatley it probably wont happen.. so in the mean time, the challenger is the way to go in my opinion.

  • A Camaro 2ss with Rs and added perks is still cheaper than this car stock. I'm really back and forth between cars. I love the Camaro's exterior look, but the interior is nothing special - cheep looking. I'm not a big fan of the Mustangs exterior but the interior is beautiful and rich looking, especially with the brick red leather. The challenger for me is kind of a happy medium, i like most of the exterior and interior - but its top of the line model is more than the Camaros. Help. Me. Decide.

  • save the manuals, kill an automatic

  • Awesome machine. See "392Drags" on YOUTUBE; all four were running in 12.4-12.6

  • I am beginning to hate the music in these reviews. I don't want to hear the crappy lame music, just the car information and the sound of the engine. Keep the lame music to yourself.

  • but crappy car new models of challenger SUCK! nothing like CHALLENGER 70

  • @petrisko619 your right. The new one is faster, safer, stops better, corners better, gets better fuel mileage, can go more miles before a rebuild and comes with a cd player for cruising out of range of your radio stations.... the only thing thats better about an old challenger is the mechanical feel of the clutch, steering and of the carburetor. I like the old Challenger, I have a video of a totally SICK 1970 Challenger w/ a blown & injected hemi. But stock for stock the new one is better

  • i like the 3 spoke steering wheel in this challenger better than the 2011 version

  • I FUCKIN LOVE THIS DODGE!!

  • Beast!!!

  • like that laught: mguh-gahaha!

  • The Challenger is slicker than the Camaro and Mustang. Such a slick car!

  • This car is sooo badass!

  • When is Dodge going to do the right thing and drop in a high tech 426 cid Hemi type engine. Hemi type but with 4 valve per cylinder with variable valve timing. How about 7500 rpm and 500 lb ft of torque. A shaker hood when be a nice touch. Here that Ralph?

  • @lgreen5

This 392 has some high tech features: Variable Cam Timing and Active Intake

Just because it is a 2V pushrod motor does not mean it is low tech. 4 Cam 32V motors have more rotating parts and is much more costly to build. Chevrolet announced that the next Vette engine will be a Direct Injected Pushrod V8 capable of 7500rpms. The current 7.0L can easily hit 7000rpms. Pushrods are a simpler method and much more reliable than 4 Cam engines.

  • @lgreen5

NASCAR pushrod engines spin 11,000rpms, so pushrods can run massive RPMs with the appropriate valvetrain. The current Hemi engines do not come from the factory w/ dual spring valve springs, a key to 7000+rpms. They purposely chose not to do this (build it to run 7500) strictly because of cost and a price point they have for the entire car. There is a strong rumor from various insiders, that Dodge is currently working on a supercharged and intercooled 392.

  • Nathan, thanks for the video and all...I'd like to add some constructive criticism, if I may- In the 1st part of the review, there is too much mood music and windmill shots, in proportion to the information presented. The artsy aspect of the video is not what I object to, just that there is precious little meaningful content interspersed. The second video has too much material that appeared in the first video. This fact, coupled with the lack of real content, makes the two vids fall short. FWIW.

  • @kickinbackinOC I must say, with total honesty, that your perspective has been presented in the most constructive and gracious format I’ve witnessed on Youtube. Thank you for that. Yes, these videos need work. Truth be told, Roman and I had precious little to work with and we wanted to try new things. You’re right about the content and I think our next battery of reviews will hone in on better balance while continuing our struggle against ubiquity. Cheers!

  • @NathanDAdlen Whew! You're a big man to take criticism well. Each video you make will be better than the last, I'm sure, as you hone your art. And I have to add, that the way you make your videos, is far better than the way I "don't" make videos! 8^)

  • I'm not sure why there are two videos but this is the better one. I think the Camaro is better looking and a bit smaller. This car looks so good in white, why bother with stripes?

  • Comaro ss. It's the best for the money

  • @AnthonyBacardi the camaro is a brick, huge body, underpowered, then you have the mustang, more horsepower. seen 425 on dynos stock, off the lot on them, sleek, slim, fast, sexy

  • WTF Was a part 2 really necessary? You just put in all the same clips as part one and added some meaningless filler. Lame.

  • WTF Was a part 2 really necessary? You just put in all the same clips as part one and added some meaningless filler. Lame.

  • I would still pick the mustang. There needs to be a drag race between the two

  • I just cant decide between this or the Camaro SS !

  • @johnnieares93 this>camaro

  • @johnnieares93 no mustang?

  • @johnnieares93 get the challenger. dude there is way too many camaros on the road. they are way over hyped and not that great. go with the challenger, its looks badass and rides nice

  • @johnnieares93 Certainly Challenger. I replaced a camaro SS for a Challenger SRT8 and I never regretted it.

  • @spidereon2 I also traded in the 2ss for a srt8 chalenger....best move ever!

  • @johnnieares93 Challenger of course!! :D

  • @johnnieares93 This baby. I've talked to so many people that have the 392. It's sick and so strong !! Plus, for me it looks better than the Camaro. It has that classic badass look

  • @johnnieares93 both? jk but your best guess is to go to a car dealership and talk to them, but sometimes they will just tell you to by the that is more expensive hah, personally ill get a challenger

  • @johnnieares93 i know man, they're both awesome cars!!

  • @johnnieares93 CHALLENGER TRUST ME

  • @johnnieares93 It depends on what you are looking for. They are two different beasts. This one is heavy, and rides nice, better for commutes, etc. The Camaro is lighter and faster, but hard to see out of due to high belt line and low roof. Not particularly ergonomic, but still gorgeous.

  • @johnnieares93 Camaro Zl-1

  • @johnnieares93 both are great cars, but i love the room of the challenger its very comfortable too

  • @R7300 I agree since I own one (well...a loaded RT) Major deciding factor was the room - I take my family of 5 cruisin and get plenty of compliments. Camaro is sharp but almost cartoonish to me - and like the Stang, only seats 4 - barely. And on a side note, I don't want what everybodys driving, y'know.

  • @johnnieares93 Camaro zl1. see the review, its a monster!

  • @johnnieares93 camaro ZL1

  • @johnnieares93 How about the Camaro ZL1?

  • @johnnieares93 Me too! I'm going to get one or the other one day. Making the decision is like pulling teeth. I know exactly how you feel.

  • @johnnieares93 challenger more powerfull.. just a bit and the interiors is so amazing

  • @johnnieares93 lets see hemi 6.4 = real muscle power that makes 470hp over a 6.2 corvette engine (not real muscle) with a SUPER CHARGER that only makes 500hp... only 30 more. Besides the Challenger looks more liek the original were the camaro looks so much different then the original.

  • @TheNXGvideos So what your saying is that prior to this engine the Challenger didnt make muscle car power? And last time I checked the Corvette Z 06 makes 505hp NA. Oh and the two other big hp engines make 550/580 LSA and 638 for the LS9.

And before you call me a GM fanboy I just thought you should know that Im a Ford guy but love American cars in general.

  • @1MeanMike *sigh* didnt understand me, not going to try and elaborate :/

  • @johnnieares93 unfortunately me too but challenger is the original and camaro is the fake
