This was the best group Ror got together. Listen (I know I drum) but just try to do what Rod does on drums. Next to impossible and so creative. Lou Martin is also great. As for Rory, what I say. I almost cry at the loss of this great man.

There is a list of people that died too young, musicians, they attributed Rory's death to alcohol. He did not die from alcohol. He was on meds,prescribed, drank moderately and was prescribed paracetemol after minor issues. Paracetemol -not good on the liver.

Love the twinkling piano sounds here (keyboards?) So pretty. A great version. Everything this man did was beautiful and brilliant. Im serious. He takes you places. He was precious and not meant for this insane world. ......at least thats what I tell myself whenever I find myself sad that hes gone. ♥ thank you dearly for sharing Rory with the world. I saw him in Green's Playhouse (a legendary venue) in Glasgow back in the 70s, around that time I saw the Stones at the same venue - Rory blew the Stones out of the water!!! He truly rocked the house that night!! Rory RIP

Isn,t this just a very (!) simple love song about a boy who brought a girl to a place that she couldn,t get used to?I,m far from the Everglades,but these lyrics you could bring to any part of the world right?And she drownes all of a sudden in the end...never understood that.

I have always loved the song for the end.The piano and guitar that just roam free there.Beautiful!Played it all day long in the youth centre .The New wave kids hated me for it! And I was one of them!1987 that was.

I live in Tallahassee, haven't been in the glades since the early 90's. My uncle got disgusted with all the regulations on fishing (especially snook and redfish) and he sold his house in Everglades City and moved to Naples. Besides the fishing, one thing I will never forget about the glades were the SWARMS OF MOSQUITOES. I've never again experienced anything like it.

Actually, I'm quite familiar with the Everglades. My uncle lived in a tiny hamlet called "Everglades City", which is south of Naples, from 1970 until 1993. I spent many an hour fishing in Everglades National Park during the 70's and 80's.

Michael Lambe died last Saturday, and to my certain knowledge was the biggest supporter of Rory. From The early days in Ireland in the 70s right through to 90's.
