  • Okay, Im going to go and tell everyone about the different brances. The airforce has mechanics and pilots. The pilots get flight and survival training, but Army and Marines get way more of it. The Navy; I can't say much for. They get good training but I don't know much about it. Then theres Socom, like Paratroops, Rangers, Special Ops, Delta. People also talk about the Navy Seals being the best. The seals are overratted. Except for Seal team 6. They all do different jobs, for America. So thanks

  • kid in the blue shorts had his hands sticking out to the sides

  • Damnn that push up thing is sick!

  • This is nothing compared to 4 rows of 30 privates having to do situps while holding each others arms... Shit sucks.

  • why go on a video and comment so much about someone else's views? if they went so far as to post such in depth videos you know that trying to talk to someone and bash then with your own beliefs is pointless because they obviously believe in it very much and a few youtube people bashing and running their mouths about this stuff isnt going to change anything. youtube is just a personal blogging site. like someones personal journal. would cant re-write someones journal.

  • Lol awesome!

All groups did a great job.

  • whose your hand broken on the camera?

  • lol gropup for Hooah

  • group 2 seems to do it..uhh...closest to the right thing. Although they are either not even trying or it's extremly hard ( duh fatties ) or ..i dunno...

  • Box push ups are fun... should try line push ups though they're even better.

  • anyone who thinks training in the US military is easy is ignorant and is likely to flunk out. its not the strongest military in world for nothing.

  • ranger push ups hoooaaahhh!!!!

  • are you even in the military

  • Comment removed

  • left 5 years ago

  • hell yeah, only the strongest can push 1 button to drop an atom bomb. thats some hard work.

  • it takes some hard work to defeat the most powerful military in the world at the time, to take on an island empire with just two branches of their military and at the same time liberate Europe. takes hard work to have never lost a war in the 234 years that its been a country

  • like they didn't have allies. yep , hard work.

  • well in the pacific their only allies were pockets of australian, chinese, and russian troops. not to mention that the japanese destroyed most of the US fleet and yet still lost. in the revolutionary war they had the french but they only showed up at two major battles. just the presence of the US military is a detterent in itself

  • @stlcards32 What about Vietnam?

  • well, we didnt leave because we were losing the war, we left because the bs politics forced us out. and in casualty-wise, we won the war: US- 58,000 NVA - 1.1 million.

  • @K3ilSom3body you call inflicting massive casualties on an enemy force a loss?you think the soldiers lost viet nam???

politicians and the hippie movement made america give up during this war.

  • ugh why didnt they do this at our school!??!?!

  • i remember during our gas ex at basic we had a team pushup competition between the platoons. most did lines and squares and all that but my platoon did our company. E 1-48

  • Marines are tougher but still, you have to be very fit and determined to be in the Army - respect to all the army lads out in Afghan now

  • @Bobss4vw Hooah.

  • @Bobss4vw spoken like a true idiot!

  • @Bobss4vw How are marines tougher? you think all becasue they are marines it makes them tougher than anyone else? If anything the army and marines are the same just differnt egos as proven by your statement.

  • @rketer The army and marines aren't the same. The marines go in first, like recon. Then the army goes in. Unless you're an Army ranger. They do recon too.

  • @ayellerbird for fucks sake man obviously you misunderstood my statement of course the rines go in first in some occasions, notice i said some, what i ment was they are all the same just diffferent jobs and differnt uniforms, ego's etc.

  • @rketer why the language? my statement wasn't rude whatsoever. Yeah; they fight for the same purpose. I was just explaining.

  • i make my jrotc battalion do those for pt... its so fun... lol..

  • those teamwork push ups are fun. i do them in mc jrotc

  • Why are we arguing about who the Army accepts? This video is showing that to be in the Army you must be a team player, and these types of pushups are a great Example.

  • .....reminds me of basic

  • Can't get PTSD from a civilian job? Talked to a cop, a fireman, an ER nurse? Civilians don't market video games? Actually about 99.5% of video game marketing is civilian- are you just arguing to argue?. The point is YOUNG people join the military to be placed into the trust and guidance of those who are supposed to have proven themselves capable of performing these guidance tasks. But we all know its a sham.

  • Strength for now, strength for later? How about strength to join an organization wrestling with skyrocketing suicide rates, stop-loss orders, bribery inquiries amongst its top officers, drug use on base, death of civilians on base, misleading marketing tactics focused on video games, motorsports and music festivals. That's the strength for now. The strength for later? 1 in 9 military vets unemployed, 1 in 4 with PTSD, Pentagon says no Purple Hearts for PTSD. Don't our kids deserve better?

  • no more stop loss there cool guy. Everything you just explained in that paragraph minus 2 things is no different from the civilian world. Suicide had a friend do it before i joined the army and he wasnt in. My opinion if you commit suicide your a selfish piece of shit and i could care less. nothing is ever that bad and i have been hi and low. no excuses. And what the hell do you need a purple heart for PTSD for? everyone wants shit handed to them good grief.

  • which two, Rico?

  • well you obviously cant get PTSD from a civy job and civy jobs dont market in video games. other than that bribery, suicide, drug use. those are regular things in society as a whole. and 1 and 9 vets unemployed if you talked to them its probably there own fault maybe not all atleast half.

  • Wow, you must surf youtube to find videos just like these so you can pretend your opinion even matters. You have no idea what the military is like. You haven't even scratched the surface of who we are. GO FUCK YOURSELF

  • Yet another hostile and profane response from a soldier (probably a recruiter). Unfortunately, no surfing needed. I am bombarded with instances of failure. Just this week- more on Alyssa Peterson, Janice Karpinski, Carolyn Wood, Jeffrey Miller, Lindy England, Charles Grainer, Army recruiting at Cinco de Mayo drunkfest in Compton, CA on 5/3. Just more lies, bad coverups, still more lies and turning of brass backs on lower ranking soldiers. So with all respect, right back at you.

  • Im not?

  • army/navy/usmc/ng and af will mostly say the same thing. ask them if they mean it, if they say yes, ask them if they would go work for GM who is looseing 1k jobs a month. its just a job. im sure u can ask and find a ton of guys that hate there job at ur job. everyone is different, some like desk jobs, others dont, and if the other gets a desk job hes going to hate it, while others would kill 4 it. its all JUST A JOB

  • True but only in this country. You dont have a choice in any other country. If your 18 and your not a student you are draffted to Army or if your handicap. It might be job here if u say but its duty in other countrys.

  • i am a SGT in the army. we the army think we are better then the marines and the marines think they are better then us and the air force and navy i do not know but when it is time to fight we all thing we are equal. and really we are all best at something.

  • Comment removed

  • Marines are part of the Navy, you dumb ass, and why people have to say one branch is better than another is dumb shit, they are American, support them!

  • how do we get fuck in our ass toriro?

  • man I was in the army and I just came out 6m ago. I know what been in war is and I also know what the recr normally do. They army is not far from what you may think and really you can get fuck up. Is you want more inf just sent me a message

  • army is the easiest job ive ever had.

  • group 2 is all white, you racist retard

  • is this at the FUTURE SOLDIER FUNCTION?

  • Sorry but Civil Air Patrol is a joke.

  • anythingforthelulz i agree with you. i was once a boyscout until i heard about CAP and when i get older(im only in 7th grade) im going into AFJROTC and then as an adult i hope to go into the air force! i AFJROTC a school thing or can you join if your not in school because i am also homeschooled?

  • hahah i do those all the time in Civil Air PAtrol(CAP). they look so easy but they are really hard especially when you have a good 50 men in one box!

  • CAP is like a step up from Boyscouts and a step down from AFJROTC.

  • no offense(CAP) is the airforce's version of cub scouts

  • do you understand CAP, i mean yeah we arent the best thing out there but we do work for the gov. and i mean you have to give us credit for some stuff like search and rescues and emergency services. and if you dont then you need to get some respect

  • just go JROTC then I'll give out more respect. Maybe I'll give you some respect, but when (CAP) kids try acting all hardcore and badass, i'ts pretty sad

  • i would also be in JROTC if my school had it but i go to a Catholic school and they dont so thats why im not in that. but you shoudl still respect the people of CAP as we do respect those in JROTC and the military. All CAP and JROTC are are training programs for the younger who are interested in the military. we should always respect people for that even if we think they are lame or do nothing.

  • I do understand that but I think an age level and fitness level should be applied to it to filter out those who are actually qualified to make it more respected then it is. The CAP here has like three ten year olds, a girl who can't even speak english properly, and a 450lb kid whos 6'3".

  • ok well i do have to agree with you there. In my squadron we do have some kids that i think should not be in it because of physical fitness and we do also have a boy that can only speak a little English. but they still deserve respect for trying there best to help out.

  • Yes I give them my respect, anyone respect for making an effort in any kind of force but it's just some are better then others at them. Therefore they try new places until they find ones that they are comfortable in.

  • thats exactly it. and they just keep looking until they find the one they like.

  • Right, some will go air force, others army, others navy, it's just a personal preference.

  • and its not like one is better then the other they all do their part to defend this nation and its beliefs. like personal im all about the ground pounding marines!! but i am in the Civil Air Patrol, because i dont have a JROTC program for me to join. but i still have the up most respect for all branches and the service they do, because without one the others might not be able to do their job correctly or with few losses.

  • That's correct. Navy is the Marines air and sea support while the Army has the Airforce's support. All of them work together like the gears of an engine, but you can't expect to go anywhere if one doesn't play it's part.

  • completely true. you really seem to know your stuff. are you in anything like JROTC or CAP or anything? cause i think youd make a good officer in any one of them

  • I'm already a Marine, I'm just checking out stuff on the web to see where other people are at.

  • i had a feeling, what rank are you? and do you have any advice for someone like myself who want s to be a marine, cause ive heard from many people that boot camp is intense but others say its cake. just leave me some message im off to do thing and live life. i hope to talk to you latr you seem really cool.

    C/2Lt. Herron, CAP

  • i cant do that? haha watch your mouth little boy. I have a 343 PT score. i'd crush that.

  • ah the propaganda. gotta love it. maybe we'll get 5 or 6 out of that group to sing up :0

  • propaganda? rofl I know you can't do that lol. any ways Joining up Cavscouts!

  • I guess every other country that has a military uses propaganda right?

It could not possibly be the cause that brings them in, is it?

To you, of course not. To me, of course.

I didn't need "propaganda" to want to join and do service. I will join someday, most likely after college.

  • u gonna go for OCS??

  • if your goin to college go SMP and ROTC, its a quicker jump than OCS

  • there is no way in fuck i am a nazi and guess what i think i will tag you with a 50. call cause you are insulting the strongest best happyest free'st country on the face of the planet

A FORMER GREEK GREEN BERRETT SEC LT

  • I remember we had to do this during basic.. my group got up to 25! thats hard work man

  • I still remember my basic training even though it was twenty years ago. I even know somebody the was medically discharged from the reception station, and I have to listen to his Army stories. What do you tell somebody like that?

  • theres strong then theres army strong then theres marine strong ooh-rah! lol just kidding show support to our army, marines, navy, air force, and coast guard

  • Sounds like blazak wants the draft back? The draft is not needed, all they have to do is lower the standards to the standards of 1960 and that will do it. As for the draft, I was asked to join a Vietnam rein actors group, my reply was "do I supply my own drugs or do they simulate them"

  • Read this, Craig. Read this and weep for America: it's at nytimesDOTcom

    /2007/02/14/us/14military.html?ex=1329109200&en=06c953182b1c51bb&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

  • Ok, first yes the incentive is true the 45k is for enlistment as an 11B where half is paid once BCT is completed and the other half paid after AIT. Second the data in the article is over 6 months old and is severely outdated as the Army (i cannot speak for other branches) has posted record recruitment stats for the summer of 07 this far.

  • And as to waivers, they are only granted after a series of 3 professional 3rd parties (non affiliate doctors, psychiatrists, etc) approve that the individual in question is fit for duty. In addition no one with a waiver can be considered for any combat arms role, basically anyone with a gun, cannon or anything else that goes boom. They are instead used in support roles are transportation soldiers, petroleum specialists, mechanics, and logistics soldiers.

  • The Army is now recruiting felons, mental defectives, and the obese and, with huge signing bonuses and lower quotas, they STILL can't making thie recruiting goals! Looks like no one wants to die for Bush anymore.

  • To the idiot above. The Army is breaking record recruiting goals, and with an all volunteer military our acceptance requirements are as stringent as ever, i.e. nothing of what you said is true. How does it feel to be completely and utterly wrong?

  • Lies. Just Google the info. The Army has no raised it's signing bonus to $45,000, the highest EVER and they still can't get enough suckers to go into the meat grinder. In my city they signed up a 17-year-old autistic kid who didn't even know there was a war on. Sad what the Neo-Cons have done to our once great military.

  • dude an autistic kid can't sight up he would pass meps witch is the standard physical test for ALL military organizations, navy, air force, marine corp, and army and the sining bonus is not that high for the army it is still just 20,000 and that is just for the top 20 jobs

  • Are you serious? You trust the info you get on Google? And about that bonus, I'm 11B Option 40(Ranger Contract) and i got a $38,000 sign on bonus.

  • You'll have to tell us- after you weave the weight of moral conduct waivers into your "facts"- moral conduct waivers such as the one given the soldier who would eventually be the ringleader in a 4 soldier plot to rape a 14 year old Iraqi girl and then kill her and her family. Oh, the Army is shuffling them in alright. Because they will take ANYONE!

  • The Army doesn't take anyone. You need to research before you speak. Absoulutly the case you mentioned is a horrible and true circumstance, but incriminating everyone due to the actions of 5 people of that group is totally wrong. Many of the people who commit crimes in the military didn't have a criminal record before hand. Its impossible to screen those people out.

  • Screening them out starts with not looking for them to begin with- not recruiting at city jails, drag races, and other redneck events. Young people know about the military. And they know where to find their recruiter if they are looking for one. And as for "doing my research", I think 5+ years professionally employed as a program manager for Army sponsorships suffices. Lots of excuses coming from our military today. So much for the supposed core values they bombard our youth with, huh?

  • City Jails, I can see that being reasonable to not recruit there. However screening people who are redneck is kind of a harsh way to put it, as long as reneck doesn't mean a Southerner, because there are plenty of good southern soldiers.

  • Yeah they'll take anyone!

Like people without highschool education right?

    And convicts right?

and people with criminal records right?

    WRONG YOU DOUCHBAG

  • I can prove it is true for all three- non high school graduates, convicts and those with criminal records. Want to argue. I'll prove you wrong in a heartbeat. Who is the douchebag now? You are. Go to the website same as user name and the documented cases are overwhelming- just more lies from the military is what you are doing.

  • your actually wrong ''douchbag''. the army does indeed take everyone and anyone they can, people with criminal records also, aslong as its not like a murder or something else which is really bad. people witout education, yes they take them to

  • @Hodgy your retarded they don't take people w/o education dumb ass they have to pass high school! Rarely do they take anyone who doesn't!

  • They used to take waivers for minor crimes but have since stopped doing that because more people are enlisting in the Army now.

  • Right now they are not dieing for Bush they are dieing to protect each other. Dumb ass

  • ??? But Bush has put them in the position where they must "die for each other." Don't you get it? Christ, no wonder they call you "jarheads." Just mindlessly follow your orders and continue to die for "each other." The rest of us (and our grandchildren) will pick up the tab (as ususal).

  • What about the draft, are you going to burn your card and play game boy during the day and skate board at night. If you ever heard of section 60 at Arlington National Cemetery. they call it the teenage cemetery, their your peers in there, Wait, I take that back, their men your not!

  • Wow- learn to spell before unleashing your idiocy. It gives educated people a headache to decipher that nonsense.

  • wrong, still dying (note proper spelling before calling others "dumbass") for Bush and Cheney's lies while trying to protect one another from dying

  • Great point about moral conduct waivers. Perhaps some of the soldiers doing the name calling and claiming that waiver recipients do not receive combat roles could explain the case of Abeer Qassim al-Janabi and what a recipient of a moral conduct waiver did with his gun to her and her family.

  • Look I probably have no say in this but from the argument thread you and DSAndra and Imbleedingme have been having it seems that their is a big differences between your statements and theirs I mean I respect both you guys but can we please stop arguing over this kind of stuff.

Yes there are bad things and Yes their are good things but arguing over youtube wont really help the situation
