He has had a long and varied career. He played an a-hole boss in Alfred Hitchcock's "Frenzy", and he was the pushy, arrogant guest in "Fawlty Towers" that Basil thinks is a hotel inspector (he's really a spoon salesman).
Who the hell disliked this? This was my favorite show ever as a child and by direspecting it you're disrespecting me, I hope you're happy because you just ruined my day
I love this stuff, but I always thought the song's words were 'over the garden wall with you', yet know I hear something about a ladder. Hmm. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows if the piano music from 0:32-1:07 is original to this cartoon, or if it's something published by a famous composer? It's so melodic and beautiful.
Dear Scottish Federal Reservists. Did you check to see what Harry Potter would do? He is Scottish and Pharaoh. Give NoAh a chance. To make the cars and dinosaurs and trains all fit. When will I get my shot. Pass this message to Mercury. Peter Pan is Scottish. Bebo is too. Sambo and Bebo. Hannibal and Ghingus. Pilot and Judas. They lie. I am Truth
Wow. I'd seen the SNL version of this, and knew they were parodying this, only I'd never been able to find episodes of this show again. 'till now! As a child, I absolutely loved this. Thanks!
This is so peaceful! I remember it well. I loved this and there was another animated one with a pretty little song and a little girl with curls and something about big flowers in the intro...what was that? Too much 1970's in my brain perhaps or does someone know what I am talking about. The girl didn't talk, I don't think. Choppy cute animation...hmmmm
Like a gorgeous smell you'll never forget from long, long ago, this song and show reminds me of how happy I was to hear and watch it as a four year old. Very pleasant to see it here. It was a big sunny patch in my childhood and great fodder for my imagination...
I couldn't have put that any better. kudos to you mikkaismycat!!! it almost brings a tear. i rememeber before kindergarden in 1977 watching this on captain kangaroo. it was on of my fav cartoons on the show.
SNL was a parody of this. This was on Pinwheel, Captain Kangaroo, Romper Room. It was shown with Paddington Bear cartoons. great old stuff. You are perhaps too young to have seen these?
Wow, this was like a breate of fresh air from the past. I loved this cartoon when I was a girl :) Thanks for posting.

It says "told by bernard Cribbins". Is that Donna's grandad from Doctor Who?
