  • Swedish actor legend Gösta Ekman played both the young (very beautiful) Faust AND the old one. Amazing isn´t it? (he was mainly a stage actor. This is the only really GREAT film he made.) (his voice was amazing too. And he was the one who told Jussi Björling to use his HANDS when acting. And not hide them behind his back.)

  • This has to be one the greatest films I've ever seen. Brilliant. The whole film looks fantastic with amazing special effcts for the time that just look awesome today.

  • wow- cool. ot the Eureka dvd of this in the post today- can't wait to watch it. The only Murnau film i've seen is nosferatu (which is, of course, brilliant) -this looks larger in scope and even more imaginative visually- cant wait :)

  • The best lighting in film. Fantastic. Great vid. Andy

  • Brilliant film. It's ironic that this film, like Lang's Metropolis, was widely panned for its production excesses upon its initial release, but today is hailed as a jewel of Weimar cinema.

  • Excellent work was done for Last Laugh DVD and I was waiting a long time for a restored Faust! Kino does it again!

  • Long live Murnau!
