I used to do 60 pushups per day in the morning, then I gave up, then I saw this, then I was inspired. Thank you, sir. Your apartment/house is very nice, too. Also, may I ask where are you from?
you're an assassin aren't you. The music, the barely lived in apartment, I also see a few binders on the bookcase, assignments no doubt..and of course the tremendous shape you're in. If you're thinking of taking me out I'll be in a cabana in Cuba..waiting....and ready. -_-
What kind of exercise have you been doing from young age. Have you been a gymnast? how many days a week and how much time a day have you been working out? Thanks in advance
@BeastSkills I have learned a lot about body weight static holds (like hand balancing) from your Beastskillsdotcom website. I still go back there every so often to check out on some of the finer points. The way you explain things is outstanding. And, as you can see, it is working for me. So, it should work for others as well. Take care.
I'm a 32 year old tumbling coach and I still tumble EVERY day I'm in the gym. I feel proud of your accomplishment, sir, and also look both up to and forward to that time in my own life. So very well done!
It is outstanding to see any person take an interest in working towards improving their physical condition/mastering difficult skills. It is a shame that so many adults believe that this is something reserved for the younger years of life. I know many ex-football and basketball players who have become sedentary and overweight after their playing days, but I also know many climbers, cyclists, skiers, and runners who maintain good health into old age.

These aren't effective exercises. Good for you for being able to do them, but if you're old and watching this and think you want to be able to do this as well, don't. Hire a personal trainer and they can help you get in shape with more practical exercises if you don't know what you're doing. Sorry to shit on your video, just trying to limit injuries and help people out.
@tjd07x Sorry to shit on your comment, but you're wrong. When someone putws their mind to something and they follow proper precautions, they can achieve it.
@girard31 I agree with you. @td07x entirely misses the point of the video. I just want to show how I enjoy the fact that I can still master some basic static BW exercises that combine strength, coordination and balance. If it inspires other people to try what they can do, so much the better.
@tjd07x. There are maybe 1/10 of 1% of trainers in the world that can do what he's doing. These are very effective exercises. You cannot develop that type of strength with dumbbells and freeweights. Hell, most people can't even do one pullup. These exercises will expose some serious blindspots in your strength. You're right about them not being practical for most folks b/c most folks don't have the patience to go thru the progressions necessary to get to this level. .
@msmith4012 I like your point about exposing “blind spots in your strength”. That is definitely what it feels like when you fall flat on your face trying to stand on your hands for the first time (when you are 68). But, when you finally find your balance (after 4 months), it tastes almost as good as your first cup of coffee in the morning.
@Brismo7 No, I could not, But, I did not try it then either. I started doing these static BW exercises about a year and a half ago. It takes a lot of patience, but I have the time for it now. And, of course, my washer and dryer, who never fail to cheer me on.
@parkourmormon Only, in my early twenties when I was race rowing and climbing at a pretty high level. In my forties, I did a fair amount of weight training (circuit training with light weights) to get in shape for rowing again. I started to do this type of body weight training about a year and half ago.
Wow. I am all sorts of amazed. Allow me to ask you a couple of things. You're 69 and in incredible shape. a) do you go to the gym regularly or do you mostly exercise at home using your body weight? and b) what have you done in your life (job/career wise)?
You really are an inspiration. Thank you for posting this.
This is ridiculous! I can't believe how amazing this guy is. I'm less than half of his age and I don't think I could do all of that right now. Thanks Frits, you've inspired me to pick up my game!
Very impressive Sir! I sincerely wish every man above 60 would see this and think for himself: "Yes I can!" And then start training. So many people restrict themselves, and because of it has a lesser life. It's sad really.. You're an inspiration, when I am 69, I want to be just like you!
