  • I think you are a rock climber like me :) ??

  • @MrTomasz881 Yes, I am.

  • ok, he has upper body strength, we get that, but can he do a dismount off a horse?

  • @Dan4USCTroy Dude, did you overlook the fact that this man will turn or already is 70 years old?

  • This is amazing, and I would laugh if this is your workout music xD

  • Great skills.. inspirational..

  • That was awesome, very inspirational!

  • Respect mad respect your built like iron

  • Wooooow!!!

  • I respect you so much, I wanna be like you when I'm older hehe ;D

  • This is amazing! =D but what about your legs?! where's the squats!

  • @gammypage Hiking, biking, rowing, x-cntry skiing. So, why squats?

  • I used to do 60 pushups per day in the morning, then I gave up, then I saw this, then I was inspired. Thank you, sir. Your apartment/house is very nice, too. Also, may I ask where are you from?

  • you're an assassin aren't you. The music, the barely lived in apartment, I also see a few binders on the bookcase, assignments no doubt..and of course the tremendous shape you're in. If you're thinking of taking me out I'll be in a cabana in Cuba..waiting....and ready. -_-

  • THIS IS MY MOTIVATION. THIS GUY HAS A VERY NICE BODY. UNBELIEVABLE.

  • Amazing. Such an appreciation for life. Great work. Keep it up!

  • What kind of exercise have you been doing from young age. Have you been a gymnast? how many days a week and how much time a day have you been working out? Thanks in advance

  • @eelakh you will find the answers to your questions on thejsap.blogspot.com under Blog archive o3111 Featured athlete Frits

  • My muscles are burning just watching this.

  • greate

  • FANTASTIC, real inspiring!

  • An example of humans great potential, very inspiring for everyone!

  • What is the name of the song ?

  • @lucislucx The name of the song is "Montras".

The singer is Mariza, singing a portuguese music...

    the style is FADO!

  • Fantastic! Good luck with your continued training!

  • @BeastSkills I have learned a lot about body weight static holds (like hand balancing) from your Beastskillsdotcom website. I still go back there every so often to check out on some of the finer points. The way you explain things is outstanding. And, as you can see, it is working for me. So, it should work for others as well. Take care.

  • RESPECT TO GRANDPA!

  • you sir are awesome

  • I pulled a muscle by watching this.

  • I'm a 32 year old tumbling coach and I still tumble EVERY day I'm in the gym. I feel proud of your accomplishment, sir, and also look both up to and forward to that time in my own life. So very well done!

  • @alphakami Thank you for your comment. Keep it up. I think you got what it takes.

  • you were featured on wimpDOTcom you know you are good then!

  • It is outstanding to see any person take an interest in working towards improving their physical condition/mastering difficult skills. It is a shame that so many adults believe that this is something reserved for the younger years of life. I know many ex-football and basketball players who have become sedentary and overweight after their playing days, but I also know many climbers, cyclists, skiers, and runners who maintain good health into old age.

  • @johnlh83 I agree. I know quite a few (mostly former world class) rowers of my age that are still very fit and racing.

  • very good skills!!! excellent!!!!

  • im 19 and cant do anything of these lol

  • Wow.... Just, Wow!

  • Thank you, it seems i've got a new purpose in life.

  • awesome o_O

  • Are you married?

  • @singinglilies Yes, I am. I also have four children. And a dog.

  • @FritsMB Your wife is one lucky lady!! :D

  • @singinglilies Actually, I am lucky to have her. She saved my life in more ways than one.

  • szacun

  • god work man

  • dont look like 69 to me :|

    TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

  • all i can say is , wow..

  • WOOOOOOOOW. Can you share your diet too????

  • I love you. Be my father.

  • I am 24 and you give me inspiration. I want to look like you when I am 69.

  • Aaahh fado. You're a role model.

  • I hope your 68 other birthdays we're more festive

  • You are quite amazing! I am 41 and out of shape but I have never been in the condition you are in!

  • @tjd07x

    displays of strength.

    herp derp.

  • @tjd07x Sorry to shit on your comment, but you're wrong. When someone putws their mind to something and they follow proper precautions, they can achieve it.

  • @girard31 I agree with you. @td07x entirely misses the point of the video. I just want to show how I enjoy the fact that I can still master some basic static BW exercises that combine strength, coordination and balance. If it inspires other people to try what they can do, so much the better.

  • @tjd07x. There are maybe 1/10 of 1% of trainers in the world that can do what he's doing. These are very effective exercises. You cannot develop that type of strength with dumbbells and freeweights. Hell, most people can't even do one pullup. These exercises will expose some serious blindspots in your strength. You're right about them not being practical for most folks b/c most folks don't have the patience to go thru the progressions necessary to get to this level. .

  • @msmith4012 I like your point about exposing “blind spots in your strength”. That is definitely what it feels like when you fall flat on your face trying to stand on your hands for the first time (when you are 68). But, when you finally find your balance (after 4 months), it tastes almost as good as your first cup of coffee in the morning.

  • I'm gonna look like that, too... at forty

  • You make my love handles quiver.

  • wath song is it ?

  • @Eirikhauge91 The song is Montras (Shop windows) by Mariza

  • Are you a rock climber? you certainly have the strength and control to be one!

  • @ultimatumjs Yes, I still do some rock climbing. And, yes, I think there is a strength carry over (and carry back).

  • working out to Fado music. that's new.

  • @fizzrate It helps to put things in perspective.

  • Very well done sir!

  • 69? You look like you're in your late 40's.

  • That is amazing, FritsMB. Do you follow any special dietary recommendations?

  • @dieraffe2 I don't follow a special diet. No junk food, though.

  • could you do all this at age 20?

  • @Brismo7 No, I could not, But, I did not try it then either. I started doing these static BW exercises about a year and a half ago. It takes a lot of patience, but I have the time for it now. And, of course, my washer and dryer, who never fail to cheer me on.

  • Psh, I could do that.

    (I'm lying).

  • This is truly inspirational, I'm on 19 and I bet I can't do any of what you just did, but I do intend to give it a try.

  • I want to be like this when I'm older, with leg strength too of course. ;)

  • @ShinobiBoiX Leg strength is easy. Just move to The Netherlands and get a bike. But, fyi, I do some squats with weights, now and then.

  • i want this to be me at that age... I'm working on it. :)

  • Why is your hair only mildly grey?

  • @Ih8theus his hair is only partially grey because his hairs are scared

  • @Ih8theus I think it is genetic. Although, now you mention it, maybe I should touch it up a bit. What about a some purple? Would that do it?

  • Have you always been in good shape like this??

  • @parkourmormon Only, in my early twenties when I was race rowing and climbing at a pretty high level. In my forties, I did a fair amount of weight training (circuit training with light weights) to get in shape for rowing again. I started to do this type of body weight training about a year and half ago.

  • Wow. I am all sorts of amazed. Allow me to ask you a couple of things. You're 69 and in incredible shape. a) do you go to the gym regularly or do you mostly exercise at home using your body weight? and b) what have you done in your life (job/career wise)?

You really are an inspiration. Thank you for posting this.

  • The song makes him seem like he's a very lonely person.

  • @RobertUng I agree, lonely, but not alone. But, so are you, my friend.

  • Fuck, you'll live to 115 easy if you keep this up.

  • Next Ninja Warrior.

  • Do it again at 70 and THEN I'll be impressed!

  • @Carrzy1 At 70?? You gotta be kidding! Give me a break! NO WAY!

  • @FritsMB Hahaha! It's my Dad's 60th tomorrow and I just showed him your video. You're an inspiration, my friend.

  • Damn.

  • Man, you're awesome!

  • You are very, very impressive. I'd put you at around 45 if I was asked. Nice going! Next video at 80?

  • @juliancscs to be honest, I thought he was 35-40. incredibly fit.

  • Brilliant!

  • Thank You good sir. This is extremely inspiring.

  • Your HOT!!

    Tarek

    Regards from Cairo :)

  • CONGRATULATIONS! Extremely impressive! Wishing you continue growing and never getting old. With appreciation. Victoria

  • @victoriavives

    Well, thank you.

  • Very nice. To be doing what you are doing on the cusp of 70 yrs....now that is a goal worth striving for.

Keep living this life to the fullest:)

  • you look great

  • otimo treino e melhor ainda o fado!

  • This is ridiculous! I can't believe how amazing this guy is. I'm less than half of his age and I don't think I could do all of that right now. Thanks Frits, you've inspired me to pick up my game!

  • Very impressive Sir! I sincerely wish every man above 60 would see this and think for himself: "Yes I can!" And then start training. So many people restrict themselves, and because of it has a lesser life. It's sad really.. You're an inspiration, when I am 69, I want to be just like you!

  • @kraftsportNO

Thank you. I enjoyed reading your approach to your lifting on your channel. I agree with you. It is the journey that counts and you can at least try to make every step memorable, including falling flat on your face and picking yourself up.

  • bravo!

  • How did you begin, and build up to doing these excercise feats?

  • @assemiaria

I think the best way to start is to get more than your fair share from the gene pool (the gift that keeps giving). The rest is just patience and perseverance.

  • I'm inspired - Cheers Frits, oh & I wanna see how even more awesome you are in 10 years time ;)

  • @kiliZOOM

    So do I. Thanks.

  • I'm inspired - Cheers Frits, oh & I wanna see how even more awesome you are in 10 years time ;)

  • fantastic vid! did you say you've only been doing this for a year?!

what is the music in this video? It's beautiful!

  • @hardinmichael1981

Only seriously this last year. The music is Montras (Shop windows) by Mariza from Portugal.

    Thanks for comments.

  • amazing video. keep up the feats!

  • 69 hahaha no way; you don´t fool me; awesome vid.

  • Way to go "old man" : )

  • Hello there, this awesome by the way, how did you start off doing all of this to get to being able to do these gymnastic exercises?

  • @rookie7802

About a year ago, I decided to better get serious about it before I was too old.

  • @rookie7802

I watched some videos on youtube and thought "This looks like fun", so tried and failed miserably. Luckily for me, I kept trying, and kept trying, and kept trying.

  • Hello, are you an ex-gymnast?

  • @beyondtheboundaries

No I am not an ex-gymnast. I just like trying to do these basic gymnastic holds. I do a lot of sports like, rowing, xcntry skiing and rock climbing. So, I am pretty fit.

  • @FritsMB Amazing job then, this straddled FL is extremely hard especially for somebody on your age. Let's not forget the FL was not long ago a B level skill.

    Thank you for the video.

  • great video, very inspiring, you do stuff I currently can't do at half your age.

P.s "could you tell me the name of the song"? Thanks!

  • @SuperBisping

The music is Montras (Shop windows) by Mariza from Portugal.

    Thanks for comments.

  • This was truly inspiring to see! Fantastic job, keep it up!
