  • A Republic...that has degenerated into a Democracy.

  • This kills me. We have adults being asked questions a kid in the fourth grade could answer.

OK, this is 2012 ........ make that, a high school graduate.

  • "During the 'George W. Bush years' we would have also accepted 'missing' as a viable answer."

  • Technically our form of government is a representitive democracy, which is a simplified term for republic.

  • A funny, funny man. Miss him.

  • Hmmm..looks like TTTTTHHHHHMMPPP!!..was in our goverment even back then and has continued it''s course..I just wonder what Paul's comment on Obama's Administration would be?....

  • I remember Paul Lynde and when I heard about his death back in 1982. He died at a young age of 55 years old. That is scary! I will be 49 in 4 months.

  • I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

There's no easy answer for awful questions. My advice is stop asking awful questions! God bless Paul Lynde! God bless America! Whatever God is or is not, nevermind, just realize there's something good here, and we're a part of it, and Lynde was also a part.

  • @gravecactus You forgot, "one nation under God!"

  • He was an evil comic genius. Too bad he's still not around.

  • Further down the comments, there is like the worst political debate ever.

  • I love Paul! Always did, grew up watching him and thought he was the funniest man on TV. I was 16 when he died and it really upset me. It was like the end of an era in television, because no one comes close to being like him.

  • @whatanightmare1 Did you weep?

  • @Stolehome66 Not too much...after all, I was a blonde 16 year old with the attention span of a gnat.

  • I always wanted to me him when I was a kid but he died when I was 11.

  • I saw this man live in West Springfield Ma in 1976 and was very pleased that he had aother side to him othe than his persona on Hollywood Squares. Great story teller.

His opening act was Wallon and Madame. Never heard of that act up until then but I was a fan after that!

  • @voyeurbill Oh man, if I could go back in time and see that show. I love Wayland and Madame too. xD

  • love all the flaming on here. EVERYONE thinks their government is either amazing or right shit. Thing is, government is not evil, it is not shitty, it is not exploitive.... it is the people that USE any system of government that make it so. There will always be some greedy arse, sex scandal, or lie told in ANY government. Get over it. Humans will war until there is only one left... even then that last person will find a ROCK he disagrees with -_-

  • Loved this guy!!!!

  • JTkirk (should have know by his stupid screen name) dirties the name "conservative". He is a slanderous coward. Over 15 posts, can't back up how he is a "real conservative" or how I'm a "lib". People today have a bad impression of conservatism because of mindless, mean-spirited, lying cowards like him, lush dumbaugh, o. north, and lizard gingrich....they are CORPORATISTS to a "T". The reason that is darkly humorous is at least the other 3 got PAID to be anti-American. Kirk dope does it free!

  • @kenfo0 = Lying, limp-wristed, liberal seminar poster.

  • @jtkirk aaww....look at the little liberal flailing away. 16 posts, not one fact. NOT ONE. STILL hasn't explained what makes her a "real conservative". Like all leftists, closeted or not, she IMMEDIATELY goes to lying and flinging mud. She will claim you are the liar and spew all kinds of vile filth...not one bit of evidence, mind you. She will pretend some question is vital for you to answer, but when you do, never mention it again. She is a coward and a liar and NOT conservative AT ALL.

  • Classic Paul Lynde!

  • TV is B-O-R-I-N-G today! Man, just a dumb game show like this one kicks ass on all of those stupid reality shows.

  • Ya heear that Paul?! We MiSS you! ~ He wasn't just a first-class comedian, but an extremely intelligent individual.

--sometimes his answers made me laugh so hard I couldn't hear the whole rest of the show! x))

  • This guy was so hilarious! I sure miss him!

  • I don't care if he was gay,bi,or straight....All I know is that Paul Lynde was funny and he passed away way to soon..!!!

  • 'It's-a-wool-luff! Lambsey'

....OMG I just adored Paul's wonderful sense of humour and marvellous voice! - What an sweetheart!

  • @mammypuss --Don't you miss him? He made/makes me so happy!

  • @SHRINA17 ...Absolutely!..xx

  • Paul said it all.

  • I am, for my sins - although Jesus died for his own sins not mine - British, and I loved and still do love you. Forever bewitched. You left too soon. Mx

  • Actually knew about civics? These answers were all scripted, with each celeb putting his/her own"signature" on a punch line.

  • Oh, that no so many people would get that question wrong. Not about Nixon, but about the USA being a "republic"! Thanks, Paul, for getting it right!

  • I wish that we had "shaky" today instead of "disastrous" or "Marxist" today. I loved Paul Lynde!

  • @rac717 Yes, that's right, we have a Marxist government..that's why corporations really don't control it and everyone has health care, ....fucking genius

  • @casadyrocks And it's why we now have Obama Motors and Obama Investments.

  • Comment removed

  • @TCall2004 Fascism. Look it up in the dictionary, look at both administrations and then come back and tell me who more closely resembles it.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 the democrats!

  • @jtkirkfan2002 - gee, why you just use the "n" word and get it over with?

President Obama was legally elected -- get over it!

  • @TCall2004 Who brought up race? Oh yeah. You did. I don't like his policies or his decisions. I think he has no experience in an executive position, and yeah, he's a flaming liberal.

I don't know if you've noticed it or not, but the love affair with Obama is over. He gets less popular by the day and conservatives are poised to make terrific gains if not take over both houses in November. You really believe racism is behind all of that? Keep thinking that.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 Yeah, sure. Next time you lose your high-paying job and god forbid you get cancer or some debilitating ailment and your insurance decides to drop you, as you are now a liability than dollars signs, let's see how much the Repubes are going to help you out. They will help out the Koch Brothers before they will help out average hard working Americans.

  • @cjs33139 The Dem's don't do anything for "hard working Americans" other than keeping them good little drones. I'd explain how forcing coverage for pre-existing conditions is welfare rather than insurance, but you would refuse to understand.

Still stewing over that election maybe? I don't blame you. You got SLAMMED!

  • @jtkirkfan2002 Wait til you get a condition that won't get covered by your insurance, you little drone and see how you will be begging the Koch brothers to insure you, dumbass. Another typical fascist Repubikkan who hates fags, women and blacks and the poor. Keep siding with the rich, white bigoted males who couldn't give a damn about you and the average joe. Let's see how far you will get. I am not stewing over this election. Most Americans aren't conservative, but moderate, dumbass.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 And neither do the republicans, so I can't imagine what your point was supposed to be, other than "eye heerd lush dumbaugh say 'x'.".

  • @kenfo0 If that is what I wanted to say, I would have at least spelled it correctly. My point was that Dem's promote themselves as the "party of the little guy" and they most definitely are not.

  • @jtkirk so it's ok to abuse "the little guy" as long as you don't say you're helping him"? That would be pathetically weak enough, but the fact is, republicans ALSO pretend their policies help the little guy, which is absurd. BOTH parties serve big-monied interests. BOTH parties grow the size of govt, including that fraud, ronald raygun. BOTH parties lie to get elected. BOTH parties voted themselves auto-pay raises in congress. NEITHER party is stopping ILLEGAL immigration.....

  • @kenfo0 So what are you going to do about it? Sit in the dark and mumble to yourself?

  • @jtkirkfan2002 like all fake conservatives, you prove you have nothing to say....no original or studied thought. You simply repeat what you heard lush dumbaugh or the leprachaun told you to say. That's sad. If you have nothing meaningful to say, just shut up. Your father should have taught you that.

  • @kenfo0 You are the one complaining that neither side has anyone's best interests at heart. The truth is that conservatives, real conservatives, want people to understand that the best government simply gets out of their way to let them succeed at the best of their abilities. Are there RINO's who don't live by that? Of course. It doesn't mean that I'm goving up. Don't pretend that you are a "real" conservative if you're not out there in the fight.

  • @jtkirkfan Where to begin? You are not a real conservative. You are a follower of a "reality tv" model of conservatism. I have asked local tea party (what a ridiculous name...they share nothing, especially not the courage, with the people who staged the tea party) to explain what they mean by "less govt". What I got back is "yer uh liberal sew shut up", which is both amazing and an indication they are immature cowards. W/o specific, measurable goals, one is simply not being serious. (cont)

  • @jtkirkfan2002 (cont) Where do you get off telling me I'm not a real conservative or "out there in the fight"? You have no basis at all for either statement. THAT is but one of the problems today. People making statements as if fact, that clearly has no basis.Instead of pretending to know what I think, why wouldn't you just ask?You DEFINITELY don't know.Lastly, republican does NOT equal conservative in any way, shape or form. You can't show anything republicans have DONE that is conservative.

  • @kenfo0 I "get off" saying you're not a real conservative because I'm basing my opinion about you using just as much evidence as you have about me. Hurts doesn't it? Let me guess. You probably didn't vote in either 2008 or 2010 because "It wasn't worth it." Am I right? You have yet to share any of your "specific, measurable goals" with me. All I've heard is a bunch of insults, and I am through being patient with you, so stick it all up your ass, seminar poster.

  • @jt That's not true at all, little boy. I know all about you. You think convicted felon oliver north is a "hero" and an example of "conservative values". Real conservatives (that's me, not you) do not follow convicted felons who think the military is above it's civilian leadership. Know who agrees with me? That "fake conservative" g. washington. More about you: you have pretended "republican = conservative" which is LAUGHABLY inept and uneducated. I am correct, you're just slinging mud.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 read your comments honestly (i am doubting w/each new post you are capable of honesty). "you probably this, I bet you didn't that..you're not involve.."). How could you POSSIBLY "be through being patient with me", when you have yet to ask what I believe? You haven't. You've simply made completely unsupported, weak insults. Where have I insulted you, kid? Be a man, for once. Ask a question instead of throwing shit and hoping it will stick....hardly a conservative value.

  • @kenfo0 All you have done is throw one insult after another and I was incredibly patient with you. You must somehow have psychic powers to claim to know so much about me from a few posts here. You know NOTHING about me or what I believe. I happen to think "War Stories" is an interesting read regardless of what North did in the past. Why do you care? Well I can tell from you that you are nothing but a liberal seminar poster, here to try to bait me into defending the current batch of RINOS.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 FALSE. You are now branding yourself a liar. The only thing I said, and it was based on YOUR statements, is that you are not a "real conservative". I don't have "psychic powers". I was educated in classical fashion. I asked you "please explain how you are conservative for supporting a known, convicted felon, O. North". Your "ingenious" response was "did you read his book", as if reading a makes you a conservative. You are a coward. I am a FAR right, ACTUAL conservative.

  • @kenfo0 You are nothing but a dumbass. "War Stories" is not a political book at all. Like his show, it recounts famous battles from both historical wars and more famous ones. You're taking my conservative label and mixing it with a favorite book on my profile. One doesn't have anything to do with the other since I also enjoy other non-political books and movies even created by liberals. What a moron.

  • @jtkirk YOU are the dumbass. Given a dozen chances to explain your views, you have not. Further, I am well aware of the book and show. How watching tv or reading a book makes you a "real conservative" is baffling. That is the ONLY context in which it was brought up, so we now see you think dishonesty, beating around the bush, calling people "libs" for thinking republicans are not conservative, and being thoroughly unable to articulate your own viewpoint is called "being a real conservative".

  • @jtkirk You have just written AGAIN implying that republican = conservative. I challenged you to back that statement up. I have challenged you to write your view points, to show you are a "real conservative". Instead, you whine like a little girl. If you are not going to write substance, while claiming to be substantive, you will be mocked. NOWHERE have I said anything about "defend RINOs" or limited you to "the current batch" of republicans.Further, I EXPLICITLY denounced liberalism. Man up.

  • @kenfo0 I have implied no such thing. You are a liar. You will produce the quote where I specifically stated that being a republican was the same as being a conservative or you will kindly shut up. You are nothing but an antagonist, lying, seminar liberal.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 No liar here. you have failed to prove a single negative thing you've said about me, while i've used your own words to prove you a liar. Further, I am a man, and I'd sock your head in if you had the nerve to call me a liar to my face, because I am not. You are a timid coward. You now have a dozens posts while whining "I don't have the time to explain my views". Again, show ANYTHING that proves me a liberal. You can't. That's why I am right to call you a liar and coward.

  • @kenfo0 You'd get your ass handed to you on a platter if you ever tried to take a poke at me, wuss. You're a big man behind a keyboard, but you are nothing but a liar. It is you who began this nonsense with your, "You aren't a REAL conservative; I am," BS. You are full of nothing but shit and you are VERY lucky that you can remain anonomous. Limp-wristed little pussies like you are a dime a dozen on the web. Goodby, Mr. Pussy. I am done with you.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 LAUGHABLE you faggoty liberal. Given over 14 chances to explain how you are a "real conservative" , your last post is like the rest: a faggoty liberal talking tough. Big man, provoking online. If I socked you in your faggot mouth, you'd be dialing 911 and suing ASAP, you little girl. You are the PROBLEM with the world, not the solution. You are not a man. Now get your ass back to the couch and watch "queer guy" w/ your wife before she reminds you who wears the pants, faggot.

  • @kenfo0 liberals are brain dead!

  • @karmalevel no more than all the fake conservatives today. most who call themselves "conservative" are actually espousing "corporatism" being pre-digested and fed to them by lush dumbaugh, the drunk and the leprechaun. I am HARD right conservative. I am simply not a cheer-leader for big biz. Know what other "pinko" espoused what I am saying? Yeah, George Washington....what a leftist limp-wrist HE was! I find most people I meet to be not only uneducated, but lazy and liberal-leaning.

  • @kenfo0

You are the biggest ignoramus I have ever heard.

  • @toadpoker nice try. you can't even troll correctly, faggot.

  • @kenfo0 cont' Well that isn't going to work because you tipped your hand a long time ago. I don't really care what you believe because it's clear that you are just in this for the argument itself and what you believe will change from post to post based on what response you think you can get. Give it up "kid". You're in way over your head. Your not going to get ti hide your true colors, lib.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 Sorry coward. You have been given time after time to list your "real conservative values" or at least be a man and ask me mine, instead of jumping from "yer uh rino" to "yer uh liberal". You have yet to post a SINGLE FACT, so no, I'm not only not "over my head", I am watching you standing in a kiddie pool with a sign that says "cowards only". List your "real conservative" views. At least be a man and ask my views, instead of pretending you can guess, at which you've failed.

  • @kenfo0 I knew you couldn't produce the quote because it doesn't exist. You make up shit about me and then challenge me to defend it. I bet you couln't name a conservative, small government principle if your life depended on it.

And I never accused you of being a RINO. I assused you of not being a real conservative and when you quickly tipped your hand, realized that you are a liberal, here as a seminar poster. Good day, my young friend.

  • @jtkir what quote, you moron? Ask an honest question, i'll answer it, UNLIKE YOU. You have not shown, in any way at all, after being asked multiple times, to show I am a liberal or that you are a "real conservative". That is why I am 100% correct in calling you a liar and a coward. I am not you friend. I am not friends with slanderous, uneducated cowards. This is the truth about you. Over 12 posts and not one, single fact from you. Not even man enough to ask another his view, coward.

  • @kenfo0 Dumbass. You can't even remember what you said, which is the first sign of a liar. You boldy stated that somehow I implied "republican=conservative" which I never did. I challenged you to provide the quote where I said that. You can't because you are liar and simply make up shit. Now either show me where I made this implication or go to hell. I really dont' care which.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 AGAIN, you lying faggot, you throw liar out with ease. STILL can't write what makes you a "real conservative" after 15 posts, making you the lying faggot and coward. You posted over and over about "RINOs". The only reason, and in fact in the definition of "RINO" is the implication that OTHER republicans are REAL conservatives. There's your quote, you little faggot. And yet, after over 15 posts, you STILL cannot explain what makes you a "real conservative" or me a "liberal".

  • @cjs33139 The problem with your answer is that it pretends there are only two alternatives: the govt demanding you buy a product (un-Constitutional) via a law that will not lower the cost, or improve the quality, of care and which will lead to even MORE govt bloat, OR doing nothing. The Fed. govt has the power to dictate business practices which occur over State lines, so they could have simply wrote a law saying "can't drop or not cover for pre-existing conditions", or whatever else. Done.

  • @kenfo0 The problem with your answer is that is it assumes things that aren't true. One of the biggest issues is that health insurance is not sold across state lines. That is due to each state having its own "department of insurance" or similar agency setting up its own regulations. Insurance companies set up sattelite companies in each state to sell there specifically and are banned at the federal level from selling state-to-state. Repubs tried to fix that. Dem's blocked it.

  • A very sweet man. Paul Lynde was 2 generations ahead of his time.

  • Lynde was pretty smart behind all the jokes. i suspect 99 percent of the public today would say Democracy and wouldn't even know what Republic means. A big part of that is teachers today don't teach the difference.

  • @MalubaySyecado If people learned too much about how the government really worked and it's history, they'd figure out that all of the "help" they receive is really there to screw them.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 I guess you don't have any preexisting conditions or debilitating illnesses huh? Never been turned down by an insurance provider either, right? So you have no experience in that area. I hope to God you never ever get one or really sick. Let's see how you will feel about socialized medicine then. What a tool of the right you are. As if the rich really cared about you. Keep dreaming. I am moving to Finland where they really care about people and their citizens.

  • @cjs33139 Good. One less liberal sponge to worry about. Insurance is just that: managing risk for things that have not happened but may happen. Would you insist that they cover your wrecked car and pay for the accident you wrecked it? Would you try to get them to insure your house once it was on fire?

You are one of the people we were discussing. You think it's the government's job to give you whatever you need. Ignorant sponge.

  • @cjs33139 Finland, Sweden, Greece, UK, France... All of your lovely "social democracies" are learning the hard lesson about what happens when you run out of other people's money. But go on. Just be careful that you don't get hit in the head during one of the riots. You'll have to wait 6 months just to get stitches.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 WOULD YOU TWO GUYS GET THE HELL OFF POLITICS!! THIS IS ABOUT PAUL!

  • @capttheo1 You don't have to read the comments. Go climb a tree.

  • @MalubaySyecado You are right. Even the general media and many politicians call our form of government, a democracy which it is not.

  • They asked for it...uncle.(smile)

  • He was hysterical on Bewitched, Ya Ga Suzi , Ya Ga Suzi Zimm...

  • @ShadyPines7 I saw that episode that has that quote in it. I almost died laughing lol. Paul was a good person. He is missed.

  • @ShadyPines7 Don't forget, "Ooga, zooma, pits!" (With cowbells!)

  • The celebrities did not have to give the right answer for a question, and in fact, misleading the contestants was encouraged. In the end, it was the contestants' decision to agree or disagree with the celebrity that mattered most.

The reason why celebrities were given questions in advance was so they had time to work up good one-liners for them. As if Paul really needed the help.

  • Paul was one of the funniest character actors ever. I will always remember when he died. We landed at Las Vegas, and the limo driver told us he died as he drove us to the Flamingo. Jan 11th 1982

  • Good for Paul Lynde for reading the Constitution, or at least *understanding* it. Whatever else he was, apparently he was a patriot.

  • He's reciting the stupid flag song. I'm a half-wit and even I know that.

  • No, it's not a "stupid flag song" - it's the Pledge of Allegiance.

And no, he's not reciting it, he's quoting from it.

And yes, you are a half-wit. At least we agree on that.

  • You must be reading from these new textbooks. We were told it was the "the stupid flag song".

And now I present to you the definition of recite:

    1. To repeat or utter aloud (something rehearsed or memorized), especially before an audience.

    I'm still a half-wit and even I know that.

  • What the hell does that mean " whatever else he was...?"

  • @Kirok

The stars were given the questions ahead of time, so they didn't look too dumb...

  • I agree, good for Paul Lynde. He, like many other Americans of that time actually knew about civics and how our government was supposed to run.

If you asked a celebrity today that question they'd probably say "democracy". It shows how far we've slid over 30 years.

  • I watched this as a kid and he is the only one I remembered

  • He was great as Uncle Authur on Bewitched

  • oh man i knew i cn him somewhere!! i watch that show just to if the uncles in the episode

  • funny how his first answer still holds

  • Wasntr he a longshoreman once?

  • Oh, Sam.

That's the extend of my Paul Lynde impression.

  • That was quite good. It's like you were channeling him right through You Tube. ;o)

  • that should read; extent.

  • Paul Lynde was the greatest comedian that ever was on the planet and I am sorry he is gone. His timing was fantastic and really understood his fans. Thanks for the wonderful post of someone I loved dearly and miss terribly.

  • @PamelaRP Ur absolutely right!! Thank U! His timing, his phonetic quality- a hundred other comics could throw out a line and get nothing- with a seemingly effortless delivery, Paul Lynde would decimate an entire audience with uncontrollable laughter. He was the greatest! I miss him. Thank U for your comment, I whole heartedly agree.

  • @PamelaRP Did you know that MOST answers give by Paul on this show were written by David Letterman?....TRUE!

  • @PamelaRP He's been dead for almost 30 years...pity.

  • If the govt. was shaky back then, what do you call it now?? apologist, thieving, racist, weak, or all of the above.

  • For me its a fine line between theiving and weak, its a shame to a government when peoples money gets handed to execs in private planes.

  • Indeed, can we back on topic here, people?

  • Man, I'm totally neutral in this one, being a Giants fan; but since when did rivalries get defined only by championships?

And furthermore, how the hell did this thread start on a Paul Lynde video? lol...

  • Paul Lynde is immortal.

  • Amen

  • still shaky even in 2009

  • I agree and I liked his response of will you accept pfft!

  • A fair is a veritable smorgasbord.

  • LOL He had a sex change??? What???

  • I miss this guy - he has such a comedic flair about him! I loved him in Bewitched!

  • Obviously you're not satisfied being an asshole on just sports.

  • You probably know a thing or two about that, being from Boston.Flakiest city in the nation.(not that that there is any thing wrong with that)

  • Actually they've won 6 in the past 100 years, and 7 total! 4th most in all of baseball-But 2 is really close to 6. I mean, don't let the facts get in your way, assclown! LMFAO

Boston is the greatest sports city in America! 2 WS 3 Superbowls, and NBA title this decade, and have first place teams in the NBA and NHL right now! Suck on that you penis licking douche bag!

  • You're right. I stand corrected. I was estimating. BUT BUT BUT 6 is a looooong way from 26. AND YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. That's match baby, check the scoreboard.

  • You still can't count! LMFAO That's why NY fans always lose. Boston has 7 WS titles, not 6. Perhaps if you could count, you wouldnt have just gotten owned!

Game, set, match! Check mate! Thanks for playing! We have some lovely parting gifts for you!

By the way, does NY still have an NBA team? Or did they defect to the Mexican league? LMAO

  • I believe we were speaking of the last 100 years? So, I stand by 6. So, don't let the facts get in your way. I guess I could give you the extra one. Go Celtics!

  • you claimed they won 2 in 100 years....lmao Yeah you were pretty close Booster. Now go back to sucking dick to support your meth habit! You lose!

  • To set it straight: In 100 years- Boston 6, NY 26. It's simple uncontroversial math. 26 is greater than 6. I mean it plays out nice on ESPN and all, but there really isn't a rivalry. You'll be playing catch up for years and years. Heck the Jays, O's, and Rays will all win at least 1 before the the Red Sox win 20 more. Your guys couldn't even take out a mostly lucky Tampa team last year.

  • What's simple is the fact that NY won most of it's 26 championships in an 8 team league with no playoff system! All they had to play was the world series against the inferior National League! They didn't even start playoffs until 1969! Thus 20 of your 26 "championships" are little more than division titles! Also, 3 of the 4 starting pitchers for the 2000 WS team were in the Mitchell report as well as 5 everyday players!

Let me know when you win something this century! LMAO

  • We couldn't take out Tampa? LMAO You couldn't even make the playoffs with a 206 million dollar payroll! LMAO

You weren't even good enough to make the playoffs! That's pathetic!

By the way, how is NY doing against Boston this year? Oh wait....nevermind! I don't want you to start crying! LMAO

  • lmao you don't even have the balls to post where you're from on your homepage! Now that's major pride! ROTFLMAO

Where are you from? The mean streets of Salt Lake City? lol

    Delaware perhaps? LMFAO

  • Still no answer Booster? ROTFLMAO Thanks for playing! We have some lovely parting gifts for you! LMFAO

  • P.P.S.-You're still to embarrassed to put where you live on your homepage! LMFAO

    The End!

  • you couldn;t afford to live in boston or newyork.

  • @BoSoxnation1972

and you are roseann barrs sister in real life.....lol

  • I miss him He was himself in bewitched

  • At the moment shakey or will you accept pfft!

  • you were ahead of your time, paul. thanks for all the laughs and r.i.p; you're sorely missed.

  • Wow...there was something a bit nice when he gave the answer. My take is that Paul really had a love for America.

I was moved by the way he--almost lovingly--said, "A Republic for which it stands.

    thanks for this1

  • are you serious i thought he was templeton the fucking rat on charlotte's web

  • He was that too.

  • he was always good on hollywood squares

  • God I miss Paul Lynde's Jokes. RIP: Paul. Drugs and alcohol do terrible things.

"His heart resembled that of an 88-year-old man." -Coroner who worked on the 54-year-old Lynde.

  • Q: "In what state was Abraham Lincoln born?"

Lynde: "Like all of us - naked and screaming."

  • Can we just toss Democrats & Republicans out on their ear. The 2 together have just about succeeded in destroying this nation. That's non-partisan isn't it?

  • Paul Lynde rules.

  • Was it him who once joked, "Can you get an elephant drunk? Yes - but he still won't go up to your apartment".

  • I would have said "representitive democracy". Oh well...

  • No where in the Constitution, bill of rights is the word Democracy mentioned. In fact, the founders warned against a democracy in the Federalist papers. Isn't it interesting that the media and politicians use it a lot nowadays?

  • "The founders"?

    Try Alexander Hamilton.

Don't be myopic-- both Hamilton and Jefferson had a hand in shaping America.

Not surprisingly, Dems and the GOP bicker about as much nowadays as Hamilton's Federalist and Jefferson's Republican political parties.

George Washington, Mr. "Father of Our Nation" himself spoke out in the Farewell Address against that bickering for a reason.

So cut the partisan bullshit, k?

  • That contestant was goign for the Michael Landon look.

  • While Paul is a great comedian, even moreso considering what a tragic life he had, I liked the serious tone he used when he stated "A republic for which it stands"

  • Paul used to go into bathhouses and do his business and sign the guys ass with a pen "Paul Lynde was here". True story

  • I was a child in the late 60s and early 70s, and have always loved Paul Lynde. He was absolutely awesome with his comedic timing, expressions, etc. A true delight that was ahead of his time in so many ways.

  • What's that? Paul Lynde was gay??? Are you sure about that????

  • Really, who could have ever known!
