Titanic plays more in the San Francisco/West Coast tradition. A fair amount of their inspiration and material comes from the work of Jelly Roll Morton. Titanic has its own unique sound and manner of presentation inspired by bands of the past without being a bound to the sound and material of any particular band.
@HeliconSteamer I would partly agree with you, in as much as the trombone is kind of following the Turk Murphy model, but also note the the rhythm is clearly 4 beat in the New orleans tradition. And it is important to note that the San Francisco School desembles from the King Oliver - Morton - Armstrong school which is based in the New Orleans from. But it is worth noting that "new Orleans" has two clear divisions, though related, the New Orleans revival of the 1940s is a little different than
