@supersummer17 *sigh* it's a plot point that's explained 10 minutes into episode 1 or 20 pages into the manga. The anime has not yet been translated to english and the manga (for God knows what reason) stopped being released in the US after volume 16 although at least 34 volumes have been released in Japan so you'll have to read online. It's a very good series and I would highly recomend it but you'll have to survive 19 episodes or 7 volumes of filler before the plot gets going
