At that point they turned most of their attention towards ascension. This physical reality didn't matter so much after that. So when the war with the wraith broke out they must not have cared too much about it, otherwise they would have wiped the floor with the wraith.

if the wraith know everything about the ancients how come they have to steal ZMPs from the asurans to use on their hives, they cant build zmps or very powerful shields, or an intergalatic hyperdrive, they only beat the ancients because they had alot more hives then the ancients had auroa class ships

The only reason they are holding out now is because the wraith's supply of food(humans) is low, they were woken up early and now they are attacking each other, they arent nearly as strong as they were with the ancients and with them the wraith had the entire galaxy to feed on so they had more then enough food(humans) they were more in numbers and more in ships and more in everything but tech
The Ancients were out numbered. The wraith had more fire power and more ships every time the Ancients destoyed one hive ship two more take its place they saw no end to the war. If you saw no end to any war you will do the samething the Ancients did.

How did the Ancients, the mightiest of the mighty, the ones who could reverse and freeze time, turn inanimate matter into living creatures and manufacture entire universes from scratch, the ones who's technology was so overwhelmingly advanced that it made that of the Asgards seem primitive in comparison, be defeated by a bug-like species is beyond me.
