This was actually the first that i had heard of this tradgey, even being in the fire service. However, when i watched this video, i actually cried a little. Brothers, thank you for your sacrifice, and may you rest in peace.
So Bin Laden is standing before God waiting to hear his punishment, when God gets a tap on the shoulder. There behind him stand 343 firemen, 72 police officers, one k9 officer, 3,000 American citizens & over 5,000 soldiers. They say, "Don't worry God, we got this!!!
Why doint you go NEAR a fire yeah you'd run away like the p**** you seem to be AND I AM SURE its not THEIR INTENT FOR US TO FIGHT OVER THIS SO ,,,LEARN so shall I
I'm not a fire fighter but one thing in common we all share is our desire to be a hero. All firefighters are heros. Please check out my new song and video about just that at thebailiffsings. To all Firefighters - thankyou from "The Bailiff."
If your a fire fighter you cant help but shed atleats one tear because the brotherhood is strong with both paid and volunteer firfighters. i am a volunteer firefighter in louisiana and even though i dont know these firefighters i still shed a tear for them
I grew up with Paul ,this brings tears to me as I remember when we was children. Lot of good and bad days but, he was always there ready to help you. To all these men R.I.P. You are heroes to be remembered.
i cant believe its been 10 years since this happened i remember it like it was yesterday and i was only 9 rip the "worcester 6" you will never be forgotten <3
I at the time was only seven when this happened but I remember some of it like that that I-290 had been shut down after it. I can't believe that it has been almost ten years since this tragedy struck us all. My father is retired from the Webster MA fire department a town just south of Worcester, and attended the memorial with the Webster fire department. Thank you to all fire fighters because you truly are the bravest.
thanks for the great vid i shed a tear every time i watch this,, makes you think not to worry about trivial things. i remember this far to well and i'll never forget about those brave men and their families.thanks to all you do
I remember that i was 7 years old i was watching that on the news. I all way want to be a fire fighter when i was 5 years old thank you what all you do keep safe!!
@knndgg Ya that was to pay respect to our fallen brothers firefighting is a huge brother hood you may not even know the guy(s) but they are like your best friend you've known your whole life. i hope this helps you a little bit
I remember my mother and I lining up along Worcester Center Blvd(Major Taylor Blvd) and both shedding some tears as we heard them playing "Amazing Grace" and watched thousands of firefighters from around the country, and a few from outside the USA march by.
I remember that night. My mother came home and since I was napping, told me to get up and take a look outside. She and I were both in sadly awed by what we saw. From my window, we could just see the heavy smoke and flames.
I remember immediately praying that everyone be safe, then I turned on the t.v...
I remember this, I was in kindergarden, just 5 years old. My birthday is on dec 1st and this happened 2 days later. It was very sad and I've never forgotten it till this day.I'm 14 years old now and its still a memory to be kept forever R.I.P.
Amen brother, amen, I wasnt aware of this till I joined the fire service and watching it, didnt even know these guys and I sat here and cried, amazing when one brother loses his life, even not knowing him, we still weep....RIP brothers, you are not forgotten by myself or any of the brothers that answer the alarm everywhere to help someone.
They are the reason I became a firefighter. They will never be forgotten. I have their initials tattooed in a tribute on my left arm so I will never forget. R.I.P brotha's
these brothers will be in my heart forever, they were heros, the piece of shit who started this fire should rot in hell. they started the fire and nevered called. they got away with no punishment. these great guys went in to rescue them and they werenot there one fucking call would of save these guys . sorry to be so pissed but is bullshit . one call could of saved these great guys
not only did they not call...they went to have a bite to eat right after and listened to all the sirens responding....4 brothers of my house died...6 all together. All because they did not know what do do after they flipped over the candle...of course..go eat and don't worry about anyone but yourselves....they have a place in hell!!!!
I've said it once, and I feel I need to say it again. Brothers, you are not forgoten. And to all of our fallen brothers, you niether will be forgoten.
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily Bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those Who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
I used to work for the WFD but had to bow out of the profession a few years later. I was there, second response in. We found, and I won't tell who, the remains of 2 brothers...1 from our house and another from Central. Picture having a meal with all your brothers and 8 hours later, you are back and they will never come back. Too tough...God Bless Charleston, SC as well.
both my father and uncle are worcester firefighters. they were there the night of the fire. ill never forget being down at the warehouse watching the firefighters dig through the rubble looking for their fallen brothers. I also attended the memorial service held for the fallen six. they will never be forgotten. RIP
i moved out of worcester in 2002, i lived right down the street from where this happened. I remembered my mom waking me up, when I looked out the window, i could see the fireballs shooting up from the building.
this tragic event is was caused me to want to be a firefighter and be the best there is, i live in the next town over from worcester, this was one of the most memorable yet tragic event to ever hit us and we still wear the W6 with pride on our truck and out helmets. Rip.
You have to go to the Plainfolk website. They are a local group and have some great music. The Firemen's Prayer song is one of their best. Every December we remember the Worcester Fire, our town FD went to cover and my husband went to the service and I'll tell you it was hard. We still go by the site a few times when we're in Worcester. Will never forget that nite.
foget not, doing a job that most wouldn't, or have the guts to. I wish compassion and justice for the families of the fallen, may peace find the spouces and children of them, may god lay his hand on our shoulder in our time of need, to help those that need us. grant me the strenth to uphold my duties, and the knowledge to do my best. RIP brothers of worcester, boston, 9/11 and the soldiers that have gone before me.
I can't believe it's been 8 years already. Charlie Ball (the man who is singing the song) is a VERY close friend of them family. He gave my sister away at her wedding last year and also gave an AMAZING eulogy at my father's funeral in 2001. I remember they canceled school the day of the memorial service at the centrum. I sat home watching it and crying.
I haven't thought about this day in a long time but for some reason I decided to check and see if there was anything on here about our fallen heros. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was driving by as the flames were shooting high into the sky. Watching this video makes me cry still to this day because of our cities great loss. What a great place to be building a new station so they are always remembered. God Bless Our Fallen Heros And Their Families !!!!
I am a Firefighter in Manchester in the United Kingdom, I have watched the video and would like to praise the person that posted it on this website for providing such a fitting tribute to the 6 heros that lost their lives.
I first heard about this tragic fire when by chance i came across a book called FIRE TRAP released in the USA under a different title i think, an excellent tribute to the brave firefighters who died that night.
God bless all of those Worcester, MA firefighters who perished in that fire. They were the bravest sons-of-a-bitches the world has ever seen! RIP!!!!!!
I mean that in the very best way possible!!!!! I remember when that fire happened. I tell ya. I am training to become a firefighter myself and this is one of my motivations. Seeing them go in there with the intention to save another human is beyond heroic and them dying in the process, while extremely sad, also proves that they were willing to die to save another human life. It doesn't take just an ordinary person to do what they did! They had guts! God Bless Them ALL!!!!
This makes me so proud to be from Worcester (hence the screen name). This video killed me...I was away at school when it happened and was so scared I had lost my cousin who works on WFD. It wasn't him, but that was little consolation.
Rest in peace, Worcester 6. You made us proud that December day.
I am heartbroken by this video, I watched this fire from the window of my office on Franklin Street that night, not knowing that 6 brave firemen were inside and would never come back out. I cryed the next day when I heard the news. I remember and I am still saddend by it. God Bless all our Brave and Courageous firefighters everywhere.
sorry I didn't see this sooner. excellent tribute. glad we didn't forget. we were still mourning this tragedy at an event Saturday September 8, 2001. couldn't have imagined.
this video brought back the emotions of that week ... from when it hit the news to joining the 30000+ plus firefighters at the service ... we havnt forgotten
... being a worcester native, i am deeply saddened by the anniversary of this tragedy ... many emotions are coming back to me right now ... it hits very deeply ... R.I.P. the fallen six ... we will remember you forever ...
If they couldn't save them. Then they would parish with them. These ae true heroes. Everyday putting there necks on the line. In this particular fire so many of the responders tried going in that the chief had to stand infront of the door holding man out from going inside saying "i've lost enough today, no more" if he hadn't stopped them they may have lost 20 guys. This is the brotherhood of firefighting. God bless you all and rest in peace to my fallen brothers
this is a true story of brotherhood. A team of 2 went into the cold storage plant to save " two people" while inside the fire was fully involved and four fighters ran in hearing the distress of the call. Four that were not ordered. They went in for their brothers.
