The German constitution was so warped during WWII that at first they were swearing an oath to Germany. The Nazis then started to state the oath toward the man who was their strong leader at that time. The old German government was weak until Hitler took over. When I think about WW2 all I can think about is how my people followed a madman and a murderer that ultimately left Germany in ruins . The Nazis then started to state the oath toward the man who was their strong leader at that time. The old German government was weak until Hitler took over. In a sense he is like Napoleon, he made things better for HIS people which is why they loved Hitler.

When I think about WW2 all I can think about is how my people followed a madman and a murderer that ultimately left Germany in ruins . @papein I served two tours in Iraq with the 69th Armored in Ramadi. I do love my country. I swore an oath to defend the constitution of the United States, not to a man. This type of oath is wrong for the same reason that I said above.

@steventhestudent If the spirit of the Reich lived on then so would the spirit of Communism , Rome , The British empire Ect. The Spirit dies with its people and so being that the Original Nazi Party higher ups are all dead so is the Reich. Hitler gave up his dream the second he left it to die by betraying the german people and killing himself...not "fighting to the last man" as he always said. As for an army....well thats never going to happen due to the flaws in the Nazi idea in our time
