  • @darith27 nope and it doesn't lube gets slightly funky not enough to stop it the only "carbon" build up on the bolt is on non baering surfaces "bolt tail, under charging handle, places in the receiver that metal doesn't rub." read "the big m4 myth"!carbon build up doesn't cause jams you woul know this I you had a tier1 AR and didnt spend 2600 on a proprietary piston ar that's not designed for a piston that has the tendency to rip rims off the brass.

  • im pretty sure you dont have to have the gas rings in order to run the rifle.

  • @545krikify +1. I agree

  • It's a nice well put together gun I'm just not a piston at fan at all.

  • @elox02 then you must be a fan of getting your bolt carrier caked up in carbon!

  • how often should you clean the lwrc.i just bought one and was wondering. thanks

  • on the old bolt of this gun, were the screws pined into the carrier?

  • Gotta question. I'm lookin to replace my BCG and op rod as well but I'm not sure if I should get a retro fit or not. Basically I got this gun through a trade and I only got the upper receiver in the deal. I was wondering if you guys new a quick way for me to tell if it's an older (pre-4/2008) or newer model. Basically I just need to know the thickness of your op rod and whether or not you bought the retro fit kit or not. I would appreciate the help.

  • @megatron515 Just call LWRC, they'll help you.

  • I hope you used enough lube. I think you should put another gallon on the spline.

  • Someone has a Droid...I looked at my phone when I heard that sonar ping.

  • That guy with the rifle is an ass and clean your rifle more often dude, your gas piston looks like shit.

  • No way that krylon is that old. If it were your brass deflector would be worn down much more.

  • is this gun worth the money??? over a regualr AR

  • @wolverine223 YES!! Check out the M6-SL as a more cost effective alternative

  • nice edit job..... dont forget your bolt and charging handle

  • So, it was mainly issues with the carrier? Also, is a piston an overall better purchase than a DI?

  • How do the LWRC's stack up against good DI AR's?

  • What color/type of paint is that on his AR?

    I'd love to get some.

  • I like how the guy snatched the bolt carrier out of the guys hand.

  • Very nice system he has. They should have built the B-Carrier that way from the start. That is one thing I don't like about the Ruger's Carrier. Not having the firing pin shrouded like the LWRC new one. Nice video. Thank's, Guys

  • @joeratti Its not one piece they just made the one part longer to reach the new carrier. The HK as one solid piston from the gas block two the carrier. LWRC made the carrier one piece not the piston watch at 4:18

  • what do you use to make your witness marks?

  • @chiznies

    Paint markers

  • what do you use to make your witness marks?

  • I wish lwrc would make a one piece piston like the hk 416

  • I couldn't play the hole vid! How has this piston system been working in your carbine?

  • FYI the New Carriers are plated with Nickel Boron Which has a very high self lubricating surface. It requires little or NO lube :)

  • still my favorite gun, I just personally bought an m6a3... I still want an sbr 10.5 m6a2

  • thing is, it worked just fine and continues to keep working

  • sorry I was deleting spam and this top post got deleted.. not intended.. please re-post if you would like

  • Whatever who looks like whom, they all look like Taiwanese T65 bolt carrier when it comes to striking block on bolt carrier.

  • mabye try penutbutter web sites for a bigger piece of the pie.

  • @ lamb7283

    not sure what that means?

  • 12000 rounds holy jesus thats quite a bit lol

  • great vid. lots of info Thanks

  • i don't think he knows your asking questions for people who aren't familiar with LWRC's, you and gun websites are doing a great job at what your doing, keep it up...

  • gunsmithing in white shirt - only on gunwebsites!!!

  • @ ealnav

    That is how we roll

  • that rifle is like LEGO - you can play all day with it

why they do not make full length gas rods from the bolt carrier key up to the gas port?

  • 12k rounds - do you feel any wear on the gun?

  • I'm not sure how he focuses on re-assembly with all the questions.

  • @ ethosflux

That's my job, to make him look bad so all the armchair experts can talk smack about him not being fast enough, LOL

  • is it just me? or does this guy act like he thinks your an idiot?

  • @ clap5

Oh I am sure he gets sick of me pointing a camera over his shoulder 12+ hours a week, LOL

One day it will all pay off though, right???

    LOL

  • Well if there is a pay off. He'd better start promoting products with a little more enthusiasm. Because I sure wouldn't want to watch this guy treat you like a jerk again.

  • Just kidding we are not here to promote products, we just talk about what we use and what we have around, good and bad..

And I'm only dreaming of a "pay off" I think we'd have to target a 'different audience' to make any real money making videos

  • Product awareness is a way of promoting products that are good and knowing what not to buy.

The only audience you'll probably get are the firearms community. If you made other vids there were unrelated to firearms. I'm sure you would broaden up your sub base.

  • @ clap5

Hmm.. I guess you are correct. You know we have the Gear Channel too?

We post all the non-Gun reviews, etc over there

But we are not looking to be the biggest anything really, just an attractive option for people looking for quick info on gear, guns, etc without too much flash and drizzle

  • Yea you can tell that the owner doesn't care for the cameraman's comments and questions

  • @clap5 I think he was expecting you to be watching this vid. Did it help you understand?jk but really alot of these guys have to deal with really slow noobtubers so yeah I think that's whats up;D

  • good video keep up the good work

  • The SIG556 design is 10x less complicated than that and 10 easer to clean. The rod and spring is one piece and runs from the bolt (which is half the weight) straight to the gas adjustment valve.

  • what was with R2 at the end there?

  • @ motorcrossmaster101

LOL, my droid was complaining about something.. I figured it was a good end to the video

  • What was the QD light mount does he have on that?

  • one he had a guy make for him to hold it down like that it's with a LaRue lever ..
