I would have to agree... It's the ARMY. I Worked with MC-130 Combat Talons at Kirtland AFB for several years. Our fight line was next door to H-53s and Pave Hawks. After being there for a while you can distinguish the difference between a tail rotor and an Allison with a large prop. These strafing runs seem to be a little low in altitude and lack the wallop the AC-130 has to offer. Either way, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of the Apache or the Spectre.

You know really, the Air Force thought they were so big and bad that they had to take all of the AC-130's from the United States Air National Guard, They didn't have all of the AC-130's 5 years ago, but they had to "steal" them from the US ANG. No people its not an AC-130 , Its An Apache helicopter Strike..Two ways you can tell..The wepons used, And the time in which the Helicopter was able to turn and proceed with the second wave of attack..An AC-130 which would be circling wouldnt be able to rain down those Attacks from the same angle twice in a row, as it is continously circling, Where as the apache will attack, turn back and attack again.

I dont think it was an AC-130 either, if it was spooky, the gunfire would have come from several different angles probably (due to the aircraft having to circle) but it seems to come from the same angle each time.

I would hate to break it ot you airforcesam04 but that is not AC-130 that is a Joint attack with an AH -1Z Cobra (20mm gatling) and AH-64 Apache (30mm Autocannon), still bad ass though, eats up tali-rags and insurgents real well. As to the FFAR it could easily be either the Cobra or Apache as they both carry the weapon pylon systems for the rockets.

I can tell you exactly what they are, because I was there. they are MH-60L DAPs. The first round of fire is from a 7.62 minigun [first DAP fires only one, second fires both], followed by a .30cal Chaingun, and ended with a 7.25in rockets. They are operated by the Army's 160th SOAR [Airborne]

The AC-130 Spectre Gunship's guns and cannons are mounted on Rail tracks, when it gets over it's target it aileron rolls to the left and circles the target, and makes sure whatever it hit is hamburger meat.

It can put a round every inch for 80 yards wide and until it runs out of ammo, or it can just pound this shit out of one spot.
