kilzor100-im about as good as he is(post vids soon hopefully) and what helped me get good at double bass was just play the bass and dont focus on adding in the snare or anything like that, just practice the bass and you should be good. and also play with metronomes. be sure to listen and watch drummers that do double bass. it took me bout 2 months to get good at so dont give up and stay with it. i hope that helped
