  • The MRT station at Bugis area was a place that many sailors came here to visit prostitudes.

  • My mum is a Bugis :D

  • Bugis Street was known by most international tourists and probably all British and Australian sailors as THE place to visit in Singapore in the 1960's and 1970's. I know several people who passed through Singapore in those days and they all have some great stories to tell about that area. Even Wikipedia has a good description of what used to go on there in those days, including the "Dance of the Flamers" on top of the old toilet block that used to be on the corner of Bugis and Malabr Streets

  • never knew bugis street had such an interesting history behind it. ;D Thanks for posting the video up!
