@edward18517 if it had ended at the cell saga it would have ended properly then the buu saga came along and ended hit horribly and thus they had to make gt sadly ill admit this i like gt more than the buu saga it just wasnt very good
uh...they had no need to continue after either Buu or Cell. And how did Buu end it horribly? With how serious things got in the Cell saga it just got downright boring towards the end of it.
@edward18517 buu ended horribly for a few reasons one Uub.............WTF was that also vegeta admitted goku was better that is not vegeta what should have happened in the end is goku and vegeta duke it out at the world martial arts tournament as ssj3s because vegeta trained several times harder than goku and caught up to him seriously the buu saga was practically all around disappointing it should have ended at cell because the mantel of earths hero was passed onto gokus son
Uub was the reincarnation of Kid Buu. And that was sort of the point of Vegeta admitting that. He finally overcomes being the overconfident self-praising smart ass he always is in order to help save the universe. And Gohan was still supposed to be the strongest at the end of Z even after Cell. It's just that Buu absorbed him before he could beat him. The only reason Goku was able to beat Kid Buu in the end was due to the Spirit Bomb. And even then he still had trouble.
@edward18517 you think i dont know all of that gohan may still be the strongest but goku is still alive he was supposed to stay dead while gohan took over as the hero and ultimate gohan proved to me he couldnt be a hero because one he lost to super buu by letting his fused brother to get absorbed he himself also got absorbed and uub was still lame a reincarnation for buu wasnt necessary at all you are entitled to your own opinion but i still think it should have ended after the cell saga

uh...Goku existed before the Saiyans were ever even thought up. The whole damn show was originally based on an old legend of the Monkey King Son Goku. Once the Saiyans came it to play it started getting more and more and more and more boring with each new installation with how the focus was then on just fighting and getting more powerful all the time rather than just having fun humorous adventures like how it was with the original Dragon Ball. That's one reason I liked the Buu Saga so much.
No, he didn't have it all planned out from the beginning. No one ever does. He's even stated that he's forgotten things before. He did not think up the Saiyans when he thought up Goku. In the concept art, Goku's basically a monkey with clothes on. He didn't have things thought up back then other than the initial premise and it's obvious that he just kept making stuff up as it went along. He was just good at incorporating new things into the background plot of the series.

When you have an entire company doing an anime sequel based on an original manga, then there's bound to be lots of faults here and there, but GT was pretty innovative and creative, so it has a place in my heart.

Cell wasn't needed at all. The Saiyans weren't needed at all. It could have ended at Dragon Ball and it'd have been just fine.
