I think the deputy took a resonable approach. He simply wanted to understand what was being handed to him, if the gentleman understood the points of the penal code he was trying to use for grounds, and the implications of "abusing"the citizen's arrest" procedure. I don't know what happened next, but the deputy did nothing wrong in this video.

Good luck! The placer county sheriff's deputies are some of the most corrupt in the state right along with Santa cruz county sheriff deputies! They will stand before you acting all authoritative while in the field, they deliver pot and other drugs from past busts to a driver they have , what looks like a traffic stop, pulled over and exchange drugs for cash right under the publics nose in broad daylight . What makes you think they are going to arrest one of their own???? Really
