Bellringing is an art, and a quite difficult one too. Tt's also good exercise (so long as you don't annoy the neighbours). Practice nights can be jolly social affairs and used to end down the local. It doesn't make you a religious nut. You can visit other towers and are supposed to be made welcome.As with any club there can often be a few awkward sods. Why not try it and see if it grabs you. A lot to learn, a lot to know and you can ring from 9 to 90 (years). Methods are great if only in theory.
