I am on my 10th day and my skin feels like an Alligator!! Dry, stiff, and flaky! + the redness is not cute!! I used the Almay foundation Dan recommended but it doesn't help just makes my flakes more noticeable! any females have any recommendations to neutralize the redness so I don't look like I just got a bad facial all day long?!
Thanks for sharing your story. I can relate, because I suffered with acne as a teen. It was horrible. In the end, I found an effective acne treatment product that worked great for me and I tried them all.
What I recommend to others now is The Skinmedica Acne System. This product employs therapeutic antiseptics to destroy bacteria, clean deeply, and speed skin healing.

After I wash my face, pat it dry and then put the treatment on. I wait for it for to dry and absorb like you said and then apply moisturiser but when I put moisturiser on, that part of the skin burns and irritates. I tried this way, where I put the put the moisturiser on after washing my face and then put the acne cream on and it doesn't burn or irritate. I don't know what to do :(
My question is before using the regimen, can I use a bar soap to wash my hand first? Will that give me a side affect in any kind of way. My second question is it says to use 2x a day, but the problem is my face gets too oily. By the time when night come my whole face would be very oily. Do I still just water my face and use it on my oily face?
@MusicWorldVNT this regimen drys your skin to the extremes. you wont be having an oily face. I began using it about two weeks ago and I had oily skin and it dried it so much that I notice dry patches around my mouth. :(
My skin is not looking so hydrated but it's clearing me up. Hopefully in a month it will go back to normal D:
0:05 "I use three full pumps" (loop first pump twice) Yes. Use more of our product, noobs! OHSHIT WE FORGOT TO DUB 1:07 "That's why I'm using the full two pumps now."
@OverGryph They did this because they changed the pump design for shipping purposes (The old pumps sometimes broke during shipping). It pumps out less so in order to keep the same amount, you have to go from 2 pumps to 3. Instead of making an entire video I guess they just edited the video.
very interested in ur three steps process, but im from Malaysia and i cant get ur products, but im gonna give a try on getting other acne products at a local pharmacy store. Can you recommend me some products that i can use??
@ryanpomy I can't stress enough that you MUST moisturize! it helps your skin regulat it's natural oil production, adding a few drops of Jojoba oil will give you much smoother and softer skin. If you don't moisturize your skin can become prone to serious break outs especially if you're sensitive to BP. It also helps with redness and of course stops your skin from drying out. 1. Cleanse 2. Benzoly Peroxide. 3. Moisturize. Leave about 5-mins between cleansing and applying BP.
Hey I'm using 5% Benzol Peroxide.. has anyone done the routine before?
And if anyone wants some feedback on this system.. I just started it today so PM me and I'll let you know how it works! I just got acne in the past year right after I hit 19 so we'll see what happennnsss
@ryanpomy My advice is NOT to use 5% it isn't as effective as 2.5% concentration. If you can afford it buy Dans regimen kit, they are fantastic and very easy to use. In my experienec to get the kind of results Dan has achieved it takes approx 2-3mths but during that time you will notice a significant difference with your acne lesions. However one stage of the process you must not avoid is MOISTURISE!!!
@Hammersmith80 Hey Yah it worked for a bit but once I started breaking out like mad I went to the doctors and got some minocycline and some cream they gave me... I'm thinking of ordering his BP though to continue the regimen after what they gave me runs out. I stopped moisturizing as well and have just been exfoliating for the last little bit but should i continue to moisturize? Also have you had success with this?
@ryanpomy I have had great success with the regimen, you have to be patient though and another mistake people make is irritation - DON'T touch your skin, don't rub it, when you dry your face after cleansing pat dry your face with a clean towel, only do it very gently and for a few seconds, let your skin dry out the rest naturally. Apply the regimen twice a day, once in the morning and before you go to bed at night, lastly apply the cleanser and BP with a feather light touch, avoid irritation!
@Hammersmith80 yah I really think the reason I started getting really bad acne is because I was so frustrated by a few I started washing really roughly and like 4 times a day. Irritation is the biggest thing, but its been a month since I've started doing all these things and I'm still getting a few breakouts that get really big. I wish it would just all go away and it would be back to fckn normal! I hope 1 month from now im totally clear.
@ryanpomy PATIENCE is absolutely key here!! you can't rush your recover, it takes time, the odd break out during the regimen is NORMAL and to be expected, remember Rome wasn't built in a day :) I would give 8-10 weesk before your old scars heal up but you must NOT irritate your skin, over-washing is one of the biggest mistakes people make during the regimen. Wash and treat no more than TWICE a day!! REMEMBER - feather light touch during ALL of the processes. Drink plenty of water and take zinc.
The American Institute Of Advanced Medicine can help! They have over 25 years experience and over 90% success rate for a varity for skin disorders including cystic acne check out theaiam.com their protocols really work!!
Their medication is FDA approved with no side effects! ** Not a scam!
I have just today been out to the pharmacy and am starting the regimen. I don't have bad acne but I have little spots under the skin which drive me mad! esp in the summer as the light hits my face in the sunshine and it looks awful. Fingers crossed...... I am using Simple refreshing cleanser (has none of the no no ingredients) BP 2.5% from Boots and Simple light moisturiser (also without no no ingredients) and jojoba oil as I already have dry skin. Here goes. excited
HELP!!!!!!!!! soo if you stop using the 3 steps after 8 months (let's say) your acne will appear again?? (right) would it appear twice as worse than what you had before or just about the same acne as bef0re you started this 3 step??????
oh and i heard your skin gets really flacky/dry skin (alot) is that true?? and for how long does that flacky/dry skin last for?
I use half a pump for my whole face and it works, the more i use the more irritated my skin gets - so if ur skin is irritated with this try using less, I love this stuff!
@mddermy same here...i can't imagine using 3 full pumps! i normally use 1/2 to one full pump...and it works perfectly. maybe it depends on the severity of your problem. all i know is after suffering all my life...i'm finally clear because of dan. :)
I do this and it shows. Thank you for a wonderful product. And for anyone who worries about the time involved, it's not a problem. It's a zen process for me and I feel so good afterward. In other words, I don't stress about what I do or don't like about the process. I'm too much into what it is I'm doing to even care about how I feel.
ive bee using 'Benzaclin" -- prescription mix of Benz. Peroxide and Clindyminocin or something and i just cleanse my face, (find one you like and MAKE SURE to wash it off FULLY, like rinse x2) wait a few then but the BP or Benzaclin or whatever BP stuff YOU have.
First week, theres less pimples but your face will look shinier and in a way worse, in that your skin is healing the old ones but after that it just KEEPS GETTING BETTER! :)
Or atleast thats what happened with me? hope i helped.
@comedyman112 yes, his treatment works wonderfully. i am 100%clear. ive been on the regimen for a little over a year, ive had under five pimples since i've started. once you stop though, the acne comes back - i got one or two when i ran out of BP - but they went away when i got my shipment in a few weeks back within a day or so
