  • My fav is probably Africa. It is easy to defend as well to attack. I usually grab South america and Middle East just in case.

  • @sgtnerf10 Africa is good. I am happy to win from Africa as a base if South America is too hot. It can be a little too connected though if you know what I mean.

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom ehm... doesnt risk start off by spreding the continant cards to players? or do u actuelly have to defend ur own country that is marked by its color or troops on game board?.

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom sory my comment was confusing, what i mean is. In the begining of the Risk game. You take the mission cards and spred the country cards to players. now my QUESTION TO YOU is, do players need ALSO to protect there country? (whitch is marked by there faction color)

  • @egdqv13234 There are many ways to play Risk. Here I present the 1960s rules. No mission cards, random draw start. I much prefer this method of playing, but each to their own.

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom yes i do know what you mean

  • oh, and if it's convenient grab Australia just in case. It's surprising how little units (about 4 -5) are needed to deter an attack. Its also a great position to launch a surprise attack on unsuspecting/weak invaders of Asia since they have usually forgotten about you or just don't care as they have pinned you as weak. That strategy works for me 70% of the time so feel free to try/adapt it if you want.

  • @daredog8 Thanks for your strategy. Its always interesting to see what other people like to play. I can tell you that in the games I take part in anyone getting anywhere near to getting North America or Europe (Asia - forget it) gets pounced on and suffers. In the games I take part in these larger continents are a long term goal, but each game is different!

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom usually when I play I am often the most experienced (which isn't saying much) so often I can just convince anyone to do my bidding

  • @daredog8 A luxurious position to be in sir!

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom indeed it is!

  • then all you have to do is reinforce your exterior with enough units to make a direct attack unappealing and build your forces. When you have an army of around 20 to 30 just take a chuck of the map by storm (like Africa) and then you'll have such a stranglehold on the globe that you can just wait out the game since time is on your side and finish them of when your ready

  • well, I find the best strategy is to try to take NA if you can, then take the tip of asia, tip of SA and tip of Europe to prevent anyone from taking them without your say (to use a a bargaining chip) and then slowly take control of SA. This strategy is only a problem when playing with experienced plays so in that case I think you just need to find whoever is in control of Africa and convince them to have a peace treaty so you both can expand in relative peace.

  • how are there no comments on this video? love this series.

  • @Colt5677 Glad you like the series. Why not start a debate on a non comented one. Other videos carry discussions on strategy and I welcome all Ideas as we are all looking to improve our game.
