I see that someone has stated that the name of this song is "Bordello." I can't find anything about it on the internet. I would love to get the sheet music for this. Can anyone provide more information??? Thanks! I love this song
@dracula0091 I'll grant you, he's very good. But will he make a name for himself - like Russ Conway did? As for not being a patch on him, don't forget Russ Conway had had several bouts of ill-health before this performance was made.
I used to be a taxi driver in the 70's & 80's and would pick up Russ Conway from Llandudno Junction Railway Station whenever he appeared in Llandudno. What a charming person he was, we would always stop off for a drink on our way to the Hotel that he stayed in. (The St. Georges) I took him to Maggie Murphies in Deganwy and The Links in Llandudno. It never ceased to amaze me how many people knew him from those places and it was always Mr. Conwy!
@SojournFive Yes, the days when politeness ruled! Now its all first names and familiarity.............Another polite gentleman from that era, the great Gary Player - he always called Henry Longhurst 'Mr. Longhurst'.
Lovely to see the WT&SC again, it was quite a hit in it's day!! And lovely to see the creative genius of this lovely man - without a sheet of music - all from memory!!
Not the greatest tune, but very nicely played, and Russ seems to be enjoying the experience. I think he was probably a bit bored with playing Side Saddle so many times and it showed (see the other c1973 clip).

This is much better than Russ's recorded version.
Great stuff!
