Fuck WCW for not ending that match the second Sid broke his leg. There are a billion different ways to end a multi-man match when one of the guys is hurt, and it doesn't even have to involve the guy that's hurt.

I'm sure It showed a lot of people who might have otherwise been skeptical about how dangerous Sports Entertainment can sometimes be.

No,they rushed an ambulance out to the ring and got him out of there. they didnt let him lie on the floor for a good 5 minutes while a shit angle was taking place.
Its actually quite appalling that they still kept kayfabe even though this was clearly a horrific incident. It just goes to show how WCW sucked and how disorganised it was in its final days.

He rubbed honey into his leg for over a month. And before the match he was injected with a local anesthetic. It's similar to the Jake the Snake and Randy Savage angle where a snake bit Randy. All a work. Sid was just willing to go the extreme to help ratings. That's how awesome of a guy he is.

Ok I'm a little confused. @2:50, Steiner drops an elbow on Sid to "breakup" the count, but Sid is still on top of Jarrett when the ref was about to count 3. Jarrett's shoulders weren't up, Sid was still clearly on top of him. Why doesn't that count as a continuation? Because Steiner dropped an elbow on Sid? So fucking what, he's obviously not trying to help Sid, so why doesn't the ref drop his arm down another couple inches for the 3 count? Horrible match physics and even worse booking.

They should've helped Sid out, and by 'they' I mean the ref's and paramedics, but of course it had to be an angle where the mystery partner joined sides with Steiner and Jarrett. The whole NWO thing was re-hashed so many times, and the millionaires club or whatever it was called. It's a good thing WCW died, because it would've only gotten worse.
This was classic wcw near the end, total chaos u got sid lying in the ring with his leg hanging off and instead of the ref telling big poppa pump to back the fuck off he almost at one point stands on his leg, the finish of the match just about worked but any viewer would of understood if the match had been stoped seeing what was happening to sid in the ring and all this just so we could see animal unmask to no fucking pop at all.
This was the longest 3 minutes of Sid's life. OMG the pain He was going through must have been hell. I had a hairline fracture in my leg before. That was painful right there. I can't fathom a compound fracture. Shame on WCW and their booking. Thank God Sid is walking and back wrestling.

They should have went N another direction. Have the EMT's take Sid 2 the back, Flair then reminds Steiner of the mystery opponent, Animal(still masked) try 2 attack Steiner, Steiner nails Animal with the pipe behind the refs back, makes the pin, & then Scott pulls off the mask. Re-script Animal joinin' up with Scott 4 either Nitro or the next ppv.
I feel the same way as everyone else about shouldnt have gone on after the leg break. Also it made the end look bad as the road warrior turning didnt really work as how could you help them by beating down on a guy who's leg is already broken so is no hassle to beat.
Also the double suplex at 1:48 no offence to vicious and was impressive but watch both steiner and jarretts necks, could have worked out as such a botching match and maybe even worse than the leg break which was bad enough.
I agree they should've stopped the match, thank god Sid has since recovered and is wrestling in independent leagues... It's sad however that Vince hasn't brought him in. If for no other reason then to teach Batista how to do a powerbomb.

I believe this is either from the home video or a rebroadcast because the leg break did go over the air live.
I was at Nitro in Fort Wayne, IN the following night and they showed a replay of the leg break on the Turnertron and you just heard a simultaneous "OOH!" from everyone in the audience. Brutal. It's up elsewhere on YouTube.

No,they rushed an ambulance out to the ring and got him out of there. they didnt let him lie on the floor for a good 5 minutes while a shit angle was taking place.

@Mightymopar1973 The match didn't end early. If it did, then Sid wouldn't be sitting in the ring for over 3 minutes after the break. Sid said in a shoot interview himself that this was all a work. He rubbed honey into his leg for over a month. And before the match he was injected with a local anesthetic. It's similar to the Jake the Snake and Randy Savage angle where a snake bit Randy. All a work. Sid was just willing to go the extreme to help ratings. That's how awesome of a guy he is.

Ok I'm a little confused. @2:50, Steiner drops an elbow on Sid to "breakup" the count, but Sid is still on top of Jarrett when the ref was about to count 3. Jarrett's shoulders weren't up, Sid was still clearly on top of him. Why doesn't that count as a continuation? Because Steiner dropped an elbow on Sid? So fucking what, he's obviously not trying to help Sid, so why doesn't the ref drop his arm down another couple inches for the 3 count? Horrible match physics and even worse booking.

They should've helped Sid out, and by 'they' I mean the ref's and paramedics, but of course it had to be an angle where the mystery partner joined sides with Steiner and Jarrett. The whole NWO thing was re-hashed so many times, and the millionaires club or whatever it was called. It's a good thing WCW died, because it would've only gotten worse.

This was classic wcw near the end, total chaos u got sid lying in the ring with his leg hanging off and instead of the ref telling big poppa pump to back the fuck off he almost at one point stands on his leg, the finish of the match just about worked but any viewer would of understood if the match had been stoped seeing what was happening to sid in the ring and all this just so we could see animal unmask to no fucking pop at all.

This was the longest 3 minutes of Sid's life. OMG the pain He was going through must have been hell. I had a hairline fracture in my leg before. That was painful right there. I can't fathom a compound fracture. Shame on WCW and their booking. Thank God Sid is walking and back wrestling.

Benning Georgia and my leg looked just like that.I had surgery and had a titanium plate with screws implanted there.Took me four months to be able to walk/run again after extensive physical therapy.Sid could've probably came back a year after this and still wrestle normally.But I guess since WcW would later close,Sid would decide to stay retired until a couple of years ago.

They should have went N another direction. Have the EMT's take Sid 2 the back, Flair then reminds Steiner of the mystery opponent, Animal(still masked) try 2 attack Steiner, Steiner nails Animal with the pipe behind the refs back, makes the pin, & then Scott pulls off the mask. Re-script Animal joinin' up with Scott 4 either Nitro or the next ppv.

I feel the same way as everyone else about shouldnt have gone on after the leg break. Also it made the end look bad as the road warrior turning didnt really work as how could you help them by beating down on a guy who's leg is already broken so is no hassle to beat.
Also the double suplex at 1:48 no offence to vicious and was impressive but watch both steiner and jarretts necks, could have worked out as such a botching match and maybe even worse than the leg break which was bad enough.
