This is the theme for Neo Gaiking Legend Of Daiku Maryu. This is yet another awsome big robot fighting anime. When i bought the first DVD box set i thought it was a different anime but what ever this one still kicks ass!

I've trying to remember what the name of this cartoons was that i use to keep renting from the video store when I was a kid. I finally got it but it was alot older than this it was an 80s cartoon is this a newer version of it. The older one I remember was the same dragon like ship that transformed and that could drill under ground and stuff

Difference is that that one's full title was "Daiku Maryu Gaiking" and this one's is "Gaiking: Legend of Daiku Maryu"

God, I LOVED Gaiking when I was a kid. We watched a show in Puerto Rico called The Festival Of Robots. It had Gaiking, Koutetsu Jeeg and Magnet Robo Gakeen. We also watched Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Gordian, Getta Robo... Good times ;_;

No es que no me guste el anime de ahora (que si me gusta), pero estas reediciones de los clásicos son una patada en las bolas. Lo mejor es que fuese un remake con la tecnología actual, pero hacen unos abortos como estos.

De los personajes ni hablar. Por lo menos yo al ver a Centella, Joe Condor, As, Koji, Actaurus, tenia un modelo sobre q clase de hombre ser en el futuro.

Los protagonistas de ahora parecen sacados del casting de YuGiOh o Digimon. Lo ultimo que quisiera es tener un hijo asi

Pienso igual que tu. A mi me gusta la animacion japonesa..pero la clasica, esa que vimos tu y yo. Puede no tener los recursos de ahora; algo si le sobraba... que era historia, arugumento, secuencia y ese "no se que" que enganchaba. . No se si llegaste a ver "mazinkaiser" esa es una excepcion, a mi me parecio muy buena.

...Y no solo las de ciencia ficcion o accion, serias como "remi", entre muchas otras no tienen comparacion con las zandeces de ahora...

Sí, ese "no se que" durante mucho tiempo pensé que era por cosas de las niñez, que en esa época lo que uno ve, "te marca".

Pero ahora de grande y lo pienso, creo que ese no se qué es que esas series resaltaban más el aspecto heróico y con personajes más maduros, y la trama era más dramática y hasta oscura y realista.

Gaiking la trama era bastante triste. Koettetsu Jeeg era bastante tenebrosa. Gatchman era cruda, Gekkou Kaimen heróica al máximo, etc

Hoy en día todo lo resuelven con efectos, chicas fanservice y un héroe bocón y vago que salva todo gracias a un don que no trabaja sino que lo tiene porque "es el elegido" y dicho poder parece liberar a punta de gritar (cliché DB).

Mazinkaiser aún no la veo, quiero hacer "las cosas bien": ver Mazinger Z de nuevo, luego Gran Mazinger que no he visto, Grendizer otra vez; para recordar y entender eso que por la edad no pillé la trama.

En Mazinkaiser afaik se respetó a los personajes (y)

.........seh...... en mazinkaiser no hay que negar el "big plus" es la animnacion, el argumento no es cosa del otro mundo (al menos en los 2 primeros episodios u ovas si se quiere); despues si va tomando seriedad y hasta crudeza con cosas que no te voy a contar pq no la has visto. pero seguimos coincidiendo..nada como el pasado: Que me dices del "agente Cobra", thriller "policial", como ese.. jamas se ha hecho; el Capitan futuro, hasta adulto ahora fue que la vine a entender.. ente otras.

Cobra la recuerdo, lo que más recuerdo es que salían tipas en minitangas y por eso hubo mucho ruido y no la pasaban completa y a veces ni me dejaban verla. Era bastante "oscura" acorde con la historia.

Hace años vi unos dibujasos y por ingenuo creí que la rehacían, pero eran dibujos de alguien. Muy buenos eso sí.

Capitán Futuro de niño no me gustaba mucho, solo las músicas. Un poco más grande la pude volver a ver y me gustó. Por desgracia el canal la metía cuando le quedaba espacio de transmisión. Era un canal en periodo de prueba. Solía meter capítulos al azar de series viejas.

Gracias a eso pude ver un capítulo de Fuerza G que nunca pude ver, cuando sacan a Jun de la flor que se la come. (pasé años de tortura :P)

jaja..... Yo recuerdo que con el capitan futuro, mi situacion era que no me gustaba, pq no pilotaba ningun robot. Tipico que cunado eres niño solo te importa "el bueno contra el malo" y ya. No distingues la historia/ trama. "El super lasser" ya la vi un poco mas grande, recuerdo era algo sombria tambien. Capitan centella, ... sabes un caso curioso Go lion (lo que nosotros conocimos en este continente como Voltron), era extremadamente violenta, la editaron y formatearon para transmitirla

De Capitán Futuro un Live Action sería viable. Tanto en trama y personajes no resultaría "anormal" en película.

GoLion/Voltron Leones. Sí, me he enterado que la mutilaron a gusto. Sin embargo recuerdo que la muerte del de Negro me entristeció, era mi personaje favorito.

Centella, ja, por supuesto, ese era lo MÁXIMO. Solo escuchar "Dokko no dare kawa, shiranai keredo" hace revivir esa niñez.

....ah si!.. la fuerza G, de esa recuerdo imagenes, pero nada de sobre que se trataba. "Gatchaman" o algo asi era el nombre original,no?.. y lo se porque van a estrenar el porx año la adaptacion al cine de la misma, animacion al estilo de la mas reciente de las tortugas ninja, de hecho es de los mismos estudios (IMAGI).  Fantasmagorico?.. jaja... si algo recuerdo... no era alguien don doble identidad, sino que lo llamaban cuando lo necesitban,no? o algo asi?

Y hablando de Mazinger, a principios del año pasado se rumoraba mucho que sacarían la parte final de la saga Mazinger, como ya hicieron con Getter. Según que saldría a finales del 2008.

Según y que sería una historia en donde unirían todas las tramas (Mazingers + Grendaizer (+ quizás) MazinAngels :P) y le darían el cierre a la historia acabando con el mal de una vez por todas (según deduzco, la cosa no terminó con Mazinkaiser o esto fue historia paralela).

¿Saben algo de eso?

..pueshasta donde yo supe/lei... mantiene la cronologia o continuidad de las series anteriores, es un capitulo mas de la saga mazinger, pues; aunque es contradictorio porque reaparecen el baron ashler y el dr. hell, que ya se habian muerto,no?. ....mas que remake, es como historia alterna,no?. ya que respetan la conitnuidad hasta cierto punto (mazinkaisser vien despues de mazinger y gran mazinger , pero el gral negro habia sido derrotado por gran mazinger). la primera vez que aparecio el gral negro fue ne la ova: mazinger vs el gral negro. y despues lo incorporaron a la continuidad de la serie, ocn pequeñas variaciones.. pero el resultado era el mismo: apalearon a mazinger

Miré el op de goddannar y si me parece que tiene bastante aire con la música retro. Quizás porque está cantado por Akira Kushida (otra leyenda, aunque en lo personal no me gusta mucho como canta).

The docking system is original, i like it. They made it close to making sense than the old Gaiking (which was ridiculous). I bet the Impulse Gundam takes this as an example. I mean, this Gaiking series is a renew version of old Gaiking (back when Sanshiro Tsuwabuki still the pilot).

In truth the Impulse Gundam shares more with the Double Zeta Gundam of old. Fighter plus top and bottom fliers make a Gundam. In fact the original Gaiking is likely the inspiration for the Core Block Gundams, which came some 5-10 years after it.
