This dub was actually in theaters in the Philippines. The voice acting wasn't that great (but still better than the Big Green and Malasian dubs), however, the songs were all done EXTREMELY well!
@tidetababar Pinoy ang mga nag dub. :)) This came out in theaters years ago, and this was when RPN was still dubbing Dragonball in English- soon after was when they slowly started transitioning to tagalog, but they kept the same voice actors. This was aired in the Philippines under the name 'Greatest Rivals'.
that's because you missed it , when it was shown in theater way back 1996 , even I, I missed it when it was shown, I was only able to watch this in ABS-CBN "million dollar movies" and in some copy VHS tape for rent.
@cybertronization I know... but the Japanese version pronounces it Sy-anne. There's probably a better way to spell it phonetically but still. This is like the only dub that's gotten it right.
It is weird how Funimation calls Freeza, Freeza, but Coola, Cooler. It's inconsistent, isn't it? I mean, fine, call him Cooler, but then you have to call his brother Freezer!
And some people actually DO call him Freezer. Lol. Probably due to fansubs and foreign countries' dubs having his named changed to such. I forget where he's called that, though...
@Sesshomikers thats because his name is cooler not coola, and it would just be ridiculous to call freeza freezer, and theres also the fact that freezas family all have "cold names", king cold, cooler, freeza lol but idk i just think that it would be stupid to call him coola when in actuality his name is cooler in english
@TAPION724 No, his name is always pronounced "Coola" in Japanese. He was only called "Cooler" in the English dub. The joke is obvious, "cooler" and "freezer", but it's inconsistent to say "Freeza" and "Cooler". It's either "Freeza" and "Coola" or "Freezer" and "Cooler". Mixing and matching makes no sense.
This is not filipino dubbed

Goku's voice is good. And Coola's voice entertains me. :D
I also like that they say "Coola" instead of "Cooler". Plus, the voice acting isn't as bad as the Malaysian English dub.
