  • oh my god!! so adorable! good job :)

  • Uhg, I've tried to do this hairstyle so many times but I can never get it right. The most difficult part is rolling the pin curls, especially the ones that are supposed to stand up on top. My curls always end up frizzy, dented & just all around terrible. Help?

  • How long do u leave the pin curls in for?

  • @Msvickyvicious Until they're dry.. Depends on your hair. This was up to five hours I think, on damp hair.

  • I love this!!

  • I have sooo much hair, I cannot ever get the sponge rollers in right in the back.

  • Absolutely love this! Will it work on very long hair..?

  • all i got was a mess my hair just poofed! :( i wish i had thinner hair ! Great job!

  • can I use my irons to make the curls

    ?

  • :D I love your videos! Not only because they're way more simple and easy than most other videos, but because I'm African American and your process works for my hair texture!!! Keep it up! lol

  • your "rolling it up, betty grable inspired hairstyle" has some sort of music or content that has been blocked in my country so i cant view it and i realllllllllllllly want to ;~; is there anyways you could re upload it again somewhere?

  • Love it!!!

  • I don't speak english well, so i hope you understand me.

My hair is really straight, thin and poor, so it's hard for me to do this and the hairstyles don't look like they have.

    What can I do?

    Thank you :)

  • D': and your "allie hamilton" one too. I loooove your videos and hair styles, im so sad i cant view them ;_;

  • This is so beautiful but I'm not sure how it would look on me because my hair is much longer then yours :/ any suggestions?

    btw your absolutley stunning.

  • I love your style of music have you heard I remember you sung by helen forrest?

  • I love these styles, but it would take me hours as I have about 7 times more hair than you do.. its straight but I have so much of it its ridiculous. Yours is so perfect for these do's. very pretty and thnks for the vids.

  • after a while i would get tired of putting all of those finger curls in my hair, but i love your videos and i cant wait to try them : )

  • love your tutorials!

    i subscribed<3

  • did u had ur hair really really wet ?

  • I love it ! its so beautiful you remind me so much of marilyn monroe

  • Dangg! your good at what you do :O

  • Beautiful style, thanks for posting ! :]]

How big are the curled sections of hair & where can I buy sponge rollers??

  • I need to learn the art of pin curls lol It doesn't work for me totally because I have very fine hair and its longer. Thanks for the video though. :) Great Music taste.

  • do you think this style would work for hair that is to your middle back? i want to a 30's to 40's movie star for halloween so it doesn't have to be perfect but.. :) also what way do i do the curls in the back? could I just use hot rollers?

    Thanks for the video!!

  • I just want to give a BIG thanks to you for making your tutorials for all these hairstyles. Coming from someone who doesn't know how to do ANYTHING with their hair, this is a huge help! I would go as far to say EVERY lady looks best in 30s to 60s hairstyles - not the stringy undone mop tops people roll out of bed with today! Once again, thanks :D

  • Ah, man all of your tutorials are so amazing! I wish I could use pin curls, but I have a ton of really thick hair that won't hold them at all. :[

  • This must take a lot of time

  • instead of using sponge rollers, could you use pin curls for the back?

and if so, how many rows or curls do you make?

  • @contagiouslulaby Yes, you can. Like I mention in the video, I couldn't find all my hair pins so I had to use sponge rollers.. You would want to to pin curls! Make as many as needed....

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour: Do you mind sending me the info too? I have naturally curly hair and it never seems to look right, Thanks :)

  • ur hair color is just wonderful !! i' soo jalous

  • yuhr GORGEOUS<3

  • Hi!

I was wondering if hairstyles like this are possible with hair that is really coarse and curly to begin with. I can't seem to get it to do anything I want, so I usually just pin it back. If I straighten it first and then use curlers or a curling iron, will I get the same effect??

  • @StephanieSatellite I'll send you a link to some information :)

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour Thanks!!

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour - Can you send me the info as well, please? I can't find any styles that start with people who have curly hair... I've just been rockin' the low bun w/ a fake flower... I'd LOVE to be able to do more!

  • @jewessjeans I sure can :)

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour - That would be amazing! Thanks so much!

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour - thanks so much!

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour - thanks so much! Do you have to straighten your hair first?

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour - Thanks so much for the info on curly hair!

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour - Thanks for the info on curly hair

  • @jewessjeans Curly girls absolutely can do this! The great thing about curls is that they'll conform to any size curl suggestion you give it. So set your hair while it's wet, and you'll be golden. While the girls with straight hair will have to spray their hair to Hades and back to hold the set, your hair will just stay and stay. It's a great way to get a different look and still stay "curly".

  • i adore this!

  • just beautiful! thanks so much for your videos!

  • I love your pin up girl tattoo!

  • you are soooooo pretty!!!!! :) i'm super jealouss hahaha! oh and just wondering did you do this when your hair was wet or when it was dry? and what brand/size of sponge rollers did you use? thankyouu :)

  • @sparklingrubiess I don't know the brand.. Sponge rollers are sponge rollers :) These rollers are medium sized I would say! I always, always always, in every video, start of with dry hair. Then, I get it damp/moist section after section as I roll. For one, it dries quicker this way than starting of with soaking wet hair, and second, it doesn't frizz as much. I use a comb and water to get it wet, but I'm going to start using a spraybottle instead just so it's completely clear what I'm doing :)

  • I just found your channel and i must say, it's refreshing to find someone with video editing care that shows and such a clear style. you're so pretty and watching your videos make me feel like i'm in the 1940's-60's x)

  • @audfaced Aww.. It makes me so happy to hear that my videos provides you with some sort of retro feeling! It inspires me to keep making videos as well!

  • How did you get your hair to wave like that in the back?

  • @MegaGoofygirl I just used many spongerollers (as you can see) rolling them on base.. brushing the curls out really well afterwards to get a proper wave...

  • whats the name of the second song. its so cute. and cool hair !

  • @Danicaisha Please watch the annotations.. :) Glenn Miller - Moonlight Cocktail

  • Thank you for the great tutorial!

Would this look work on hair a bit longer? And with hot rollers?

  • @BrokenDreamer Sure! You could probably do it even if your hair is a little longer than mine.. I wouldn't do hot rollers for this.. Just because the setting pattern and texture of the curl has a lot to say for how the finished wave turns out.

  • I love this hair! It's a mixture of a pageboy and soft curls. I have a really simple, elegant dress for prom and I will probably use this hairstyle- thank you! :)

  • @apeshizzle Great :) Have a nice prom!

  • wow that was great!!

  • I love that you dont use any heat!!!

  • @maliguaweee Thanks.. :) Yes, I try to avoid it as much as possible.

  • I love it!!!

  • Your hair looks exactly like the hairstyle on Fallout 3. Hahaha.

  • @sneemercc Okey. ....?

  • Just found your channel thanks to lisafreemontstreet!!And I love it!!

The hairstyles are amazing....and youy tat is too!!

  • @CherryMoon86 Yes, I think we all wanna thank LisaFreemontStreet! <3

  • You are gorgeous.

You pull of the vintage looks so well, yet still manage to look "modern". Maybe you have contemporary features? Anyway it makes the look that much more striking. x

  • @LilSteif Oh, what a nice compliment :) Thank you!

  • i have to agree i love your channel and i love your style too!

  • @xKaylaInWonderlandx Thanks so much ;)

  • @flavia1993 Good! :)

  • awesome! 5 stars!

  • CUTE! Very pretty lady and Diana Dors was a gorgeous woman...amazing talent you have.

  • Yes, she was! :)

  • I love this, I hate doing full head pincurls (takes to long) so I am going to invest in some sponge rollers.. im shocked they came out so well! Oh I would love if youd put what music you used in your videos <3

  • Spongerollers can be a good alternative - But personally I think it's worth practicing until pin curls doesn't feel like such a hassle :)

I'm glad you liked the hairstyle :) And I put annotations with the music I used, in all the videos now :)

  • Oh yay. Thank you! :)
