And now I have seen that you also has made many songs and videos for your mother. Impressive and full of feelings. You miss your mother - very very much. I can feel with you. Wonderful that you made it all. Simply great!
It has been a while since I have watched this. I see it in a new light now that my mom has passed away. Your comment just brought tears to my eyes, Rod. Good tears. Thank you again for watching. Love, Carol Sue
@CarolSueKirkpatrick My wifes mother died of alzheimer and my wife Beck just passed away 08 23 2011.of alzheimer i wrote songs for her so she would hear my voice think i was in the room with her. love your song
This is very beautiful and special. I know you remember me telling you that my mother passed from Alzheimers also. Thank you over and over for posting and sharing. --:)Rod
After all the tears, that love she can now remember feeling towards you, all your sisters and everyone in your family turns this great loss not so much into sadness anymore but tears of joyous consolation in knowing she's now in a wonderful place and with love, smiling down on y'all.
Look up and raise you arms to the heavens with love in your hearts and feel the warmth.
My mom - Even with Alzheimer's & Cancer she is sweet. She was named the "I Love You" lady as she would repeat that over & over. Thank you again for visiting Dan. ((Hugs))
Thank you Dan! The vocalist is Essence! She is also on YouTube under Essence4Music. We had done many collaborations under the name "CarEss Music" - another one we had done that is on Youtube is called "Angel Above" - really, she does have a wonderful voice! Thanks for checking this out my friend! ((Hugs)) :)
Hello Sis, I was here earlier this afternoon... real nice song and if not for the video, it would not have been that sad, especially knowing that because of your Mom's encouragement to be humourous, you folks are full of joy and fun today.*****
Thank you Emmanuel, sorry I hadn't seen your comment earlier. Still learning YouTube! lol... Oh, you would have just loved our mom when in her right mind. She was always so positive and full of fun and laughter - those trates I hope to inherit and keep forever. You are so kind, thank you my friend! ((Hugs))
Awesome origianl song, would not have been so sad if not for the video, and knowing that it was because of your good mother's encouragement that made you and your Sister funny-happy, that just makes it more melancholic.*****
well this brought a tear to my eyes indeed carol...very touching and brings to mind the frailness of human beings as they approach the later years of there lives...lost my own father to the dreaded c a few years back now ..but will never forget him....thanks for this...akkie...the tartan rascal
I'm so sorry to hear about your Father Akkie, bless your heart. My mother also has cancer, 5 years in Jan 2008. It is so hard sometimes isn't it. Cherished are our memories. Wishing you the very best my friend. ((Hugs))
Thank you very much Caylyn! In joining YouTube and recently figuring out how to make videos it has helped keep my mind off my mother dying. I made these videos pretty much for my family could one day enjoy them. Going through the old videos has been very comforting to me in seeing how my mother use to be. Sorry, I can go on & on.
Excellent song and great singing! Touching subject. My Mother has the same disease, does not know her own family. It's something thats so 'out of your hands'. It's so sad nothing can be done.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and leave such a comment. I honestly feel for you, your mom and your entire family. The experiences my family and I have endured are enough to write a book about. It is so terribly sad isn't it. I found with my own mom that even though she didn't recognize even her own children she did remember and sing along as best she could to music. Maybe try that with your own mother. You know, like songs you sang together. ((Hug)) Carol Sue
I would love to send my songs regarding memory loss to the Alzheimers association. Sometimes I feel it is the "forgotten" disease. No pun intended. Thank you again for your kindness. ((Hug)) Carol Sue
Very Moving and a nice melody. Having aging parents of my own(90s) I am beginning to see some of the problems associated with declining memory. I've just discovered your channel and will be listening some of your other work. Thanks.
Thank you! You would have loved my mother had you known her. A very special lady. I do have many songs regarding memory loss that I would love to someday bring to the Alzheimers association. Yes, respect to the care givers as well. That is not an easy job.
Looking forward to hearing more of your music! Now get busy and make a video & post it will you! haha... :)
Vocal stylings from Essence! If you get a chance please check out her page here on YouTube under Essence4Music. She really has such a great voice! Not to mention she is just all around gorgeous! Thank you for visiting! :)
See I go making totally dumbass videos full of nonsense and mayhem then you need to go and make a touching, relevant and thoughtful piece like this. Really nice video and, having watched someone suffer from this awful illness, it's heartbreaking. Well done!
Guys, I love your videos. Through all the sadness I have felt for so long in watching my moms health decline it is videos like yours that bring a smile to my face. Laughter is the best medicine. Keep doing what you do and I will keep enjoying! :)
Check your email! Sent you a copy (yousendit-link to download) of GlastonburyRadio show with you singing Oh Tired Heart! Download is available for 6 days. :)
This is your new friend Chris in Maryland. Ironically enough ... I also work part time for a research doctor at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Some of his research includes finding a cure for Alzheimer's. Additionally, and another ironic thing is that my adoptive mom has Dementia. God bless you and keep you always. "He" has brought us together for a reason.
I sincerely thank you both so much for working with Carol Sue on this song. Our Mom is the most important person to us in all of our lives and, as difficult as these times must be for all of us, we can listen to this great music and know that other people care.
I'm so proud of you for saving these memories for our family. Mom would also be proud. Although the song made me cry, it was a cry of joy because we have such a great Mom, and I have such great sisters. It's all about family, and any thing I can do to lessen your or the other girls' pain, I would gladly do so. Remember, Mom always wanted us to stick together.
Carol - That made me and my friend Luke cry!! Very heartfelt ...I feel your family's pain Babes. Very nicely made video - I am proud you asked me to sing this track my sis mom. Touching - very touching. Many hugs as always to you ...Love too :) XxX
You Essence and Mark make a great team Carol Sue, those ealier video moments of your mom and the still pics along with the soundtrack make a beautiful video, take care, Paul
Really love how this video turned out...the music so beautiful. I've watched this like four times already and have bookmarked it. I wish for us to remember her like she was before the Alzheimers...as she's the best person I know, who gave us a legacy of laughter during great trials in life. Again Beautiful Carol! :o)
Hope to get this divice hooked up soon that will allow me to use some older videos. Started watching some of them. Takes me back to happier times... rather comforting.
