Like the song but lived through this era, and I am sure this is a Milli Vanilli Concert. It was widely known that artist were only as good as their producers, which meant the studio was responsible for the voice and music, not the "Artist".  Saturday Night Live exposed this quite clearly in 2010. "Live" is referred to as a version of the same song, but with a personal touch. SUCKERS!!!

Truly a timeless classic. A beautiful drifting, jazzy offering for the ages. My only problem with it has always been that I didn't write it! Yeah, forget what era it came out, with this song it truly didn't matter. This would have made it in the 60s or 70s or today just as easily as the 80s.

What actually happened: Any group appearing on TV had to 'prove' they could actually perform so were given a few hours recording time at Maida Vale or similar to bring the song under 4min30 usually- Then they mimed to their own re-recorded backing track. This is what caught out Frankie as Trevor Horn overproduced Relax so they could not reproduce the 'released' version 'live' (see Milli Vannili also..)! Take it easy
