Which pumps aren't on? Which district? The EPA pumping restrictions ended on June 30. Anything that's happening now is just drought. If you have other facts, I'd love to see them. How many are not eating? You said 'more than fishermen..' so how many is that? Why aren't they eating? What's that got to do with this? If you have factual responses to these questions, I'm all ears. Not all of them, the thousands of people are just misinformed. I spoke with Inga Barks (see part 1) in person about this issue about a week before. She said what I "need to understand is this is not about news or information; it's about ratings and advertising." They will lie, distort and provide half truths to maintain ratings, as long as people want to be placated in that way. In this program, they simply omitted details to make this issue seem like something it isn't. Why? Drama sells.

This group of course have their own bias, but could hardly be characterized as left-wing shills. Unlike FOX though, they provide references and facts to back up their claims.

Now that sounds like the Inga Barks I've known fothe last few years. Go to the KMJ website and you'll see my rebuttals to her on the buzzboard. I've also called her out on on obvious lie about the Ken Gladney beatdown that never happened. Of course she refuses to apologize for not vetting his story. Then they're was her assertions that gays are forcing their lifestyle upon her children. She  tells me that she doesn't say anything she doesn't beleive, but we know better.

That will get her the next gig on Hannity or subbing for Levin, but it's not very honorable, and it's not Christian.

turning off the water will prevent rising salinity levels.

salty water will kill crops and render the invaluable land infertile. also, you cant drink salty water (or dont want to at least).

reversing the process of salinization is not only very expensive, buy prompts farmers to use more and more fertilizer (to make the soil useful again) that runs off into the ocean, -this creates stuff like the 7000sq miles Dead Zone (literally lifeless ocean) in the Gulf of Mexico.

You see the Fishermen are not having a food issue. Fishermen can fish all over the damn planet, and farmers are limited to one area and that one area is most likely the best spot to start growing food. The environmentalists dislike the fishermen too because they're "killing off biodiversity" because they're fishing. It's not about the fishermen, it's about that stupid ass 2inch minnow these eco-nuts keep crying about. Ever since this droubt happened food has been getting more expensive.

2nd. Contrary to what Hannity says, this is NOT simple. It is complex and impacts the lives of real people with real families on the other side too.

What other side? Since we're watching FOX, it's easy to forget there is one, but there is. It is fishermen and their families, and the $10 billion a year commercial fishing industry, which depends on salmon which depend on the same environment as that 2-inch minnow Hannity minimizes.

Water is being very limited in California because of all the Environmental Regulations. We can't even pay for our food, or water in California anymore! As a matter of fact, I DO live in CA. And I DO know people on both sides of this issue, farmers and fishermen. Do yourself a favor and dig into it, find the facts and don't be dependent on FOX's skewed talking points. Hannity took a position against fishermen and their families, pretending it was just about fish. This is fundementally fraudulent. The real issue really is complex. I'm not saying I have the answer, just that we need to start with facts, and work from there. Try it.

Since when does Fox have talking points? Where is CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, PBS, and CNBC on all of this? Where is the press? How many times did Hannity repeat his slogans: "the 2" minnow", "Fish vs. Farmers"? These are talking points defined; a catch phrase used by partisans to simplify (and polarize) a complex issue. But, in reality, this particular issue (like most) is not about right vs. left, since the fishermen and sport fishing industries on the other side are ALSO predominately Republican. What FOX presented was a cynical, imbalanced propaganda piece intended to exploit this issue for the sake of ratings.

First off, Sean Hannity gave 8 years of ass kissing, soft ball questions when he interviewed Bush and Cheney. He also gave free air time to Jerome Corsi when he went on his crusade to smear John Kerry and did so again in 2008 where he spewed more falsehoods from his OBAMA NATION book. Fox also was a cheerleader for the Iraq war and took labels like "homocidebomber" from the WH.

I also live in CA and I know 3 of the people featured in this show. I know the salinity levels are a huge concern who , as it is in the Salinas Valley, where so much of our Salads come from. What these people don;t seem to understand is that with global warmign becoming an increasing factor there is a high probability that the water situation will only get worse in the coming decades. That is likely to be exacerbated by the population growth in the Central Valley.

Of course, they're making right now, but their margins in the future would be affected by restrictive laws. cont.

cont. Every time we get any legislation before congress, we get corporate lobbyists affecting any progressive work and they scare us with the cost factors for the average consumer. But what they really mean is the cost to them and the cutting in to their margins, which are based on archaic and dirty methods. Such is the case with coal, petroleum, the auto industry, concrete, industrialized farming, etc. The auto industry fought safety belts, airbags, and the electric car.
