@kmc56 Lots of records like this where they kept the chord progression and wrote a new melody; Be Bop's "Groovin' High" is really a 1922 song called "Whispering."

Duke Ellington's "Sweet Mama" is "When You're Smilin;" Ellington also used "Tiger Rag" a lot; "Daybreak Express" would be an example of this.
