I don't know why Sonic Team don't make all Sonic games to ensure quality. How is porting a game difficult? they also made the incredibly average Sonic Tennis from the ground up, which is what I expect this game to be more like

If anything, Sonic Team's involvement can only hurt a Sonic game's chances at achieving quality. They were once great, but they've taken a serious dip in quality in recent years.

I'm curious as to how balanced the game is. I assume that it plays a lot like Mario Kart in that it allows you to use various weapons. I hope that it's more balanced than Mario Kart Wii...

My fear with Project Needlemouse is that they still seem to think that speed is the most important thing to the game play, yet the original Sonic the Hedgehog (the best one, in my opinion) wasn't even really all that fast. What matters is good level design and a complete lack of idiotic secondary characters, and the problem kinda started in Sonic 2, in my opinion.

Just like the word "NINJA" was banned in the UK for reasons regarding violence (hence why the TMNT were called "Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles" for a long time). Europe is strict on some things that the United States isn't, while the opposite is also true. Look at Joker's fatality in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Euros got the full fatality whereas we got a censored one. I say boo to censorship. It ruins it for everyone.

I'm sure he will. NiGHTS is one of Sega's favourites. Hes made cameos in Sonic games and he had his own game rereleased for the Wii recently. I think they are just saving him for a big unveil later, Or for the player to unlock and find out hes in it once this is out.

I was at that interview. Any mention of NiGHTS in that interview was because the producer S0L answering the questions was having a joke with our fanbase because a week prior to Summer of Sonic we email-bombed Sumo Digital asking for NiGHTS to be in the game. The producer, S0L, was not confirming NiGHTS, he was simply talking about the character because of what we did. At no point did he say "NiGHTS is in this game".

NiGHTS has yet to be revealed for this game officially by either Sumo or SEGA.

My memory may be jumbled, but thank you for clearing that up. However, judging by the popularity of NiGHTS not to mention it's inclusion in most any form of cameos through other SEGA Franchises, plus already being in every Superstars title, I am sure NiGHTS is a shoe-in, and with that, I think any dreamscape they choose will be a delightful course. Ulala was recently revealed in Nintendo Power, but she also was a shoe-in like NiGHTS. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but would like to see soon
