Deadline wasn't so good as Feed, since there's no actual reveal beyond why Kelly was there, why Shaun wasn't affected by Georgia's aerosolised blood in the van, and why such an inproportionate number of people with Kellis-Amberlee resovoir conditions [like Georgia's Retinal KA] were dying.
The plot remains uncovered for the world to see, the team hasn't stopped running. It didn't have an ending like Feed did. And a cliffhanger isn't something I want from a novel.
Kudos to all three of you, Mira, Lauren, and Matt. A book trailer I can finally point to and say 'Yeah that's compelling, informative, and visually appealing!'
Feed was AWESOME (from an individual who does not use the word, lightly). Having read the Toby Daye series, and the Sparrow Hill stories, I had only very high expectations. 'Feed' blows them all out of the water. 'Deadline' was supposed to arrive today, but didn't. Anybody know a Judge who is a fan of hers?
(Just in case I shoot the UPS guy if he doesn't bring it, tomorrow. . . .)
Lauren, you TOTALLY ROCK! I own the book, but if I did not, your trailer would have had me opening B&N in a separate tab and downloading the ebook before it was over. Thank you!

Awesome series though.

What a fabulous series. How can you resist the mix of Zombies, Bloggers and world catastrophe? I heart Mira Grant!

The first book was awesome - a very realistic universe with great characters. I'll be buying the second today and waiting impatiently for the third!

@lwenham1, who said, "waiting impatiently for the third!"
You only think you're impatient. Once you finish Deadline, you'll know what true impatience is.

Is that the actual cover for Blackout?
Amandolin01 8 months ago
@Amandolin01 it is a cover in the works...but generally the direction! the livewire symbol WILL be the icon for the book.
