A lo mejor Thorpe es mejor que Phelps en 200 metros libre, algo que no tengo muy claro porque sólo se enfrentaron una vez en Atenas pero es increible que Michael Phelps haya sido capaz de dominar las distancias de los 200 metros(200 estilos, 200 mariposa, 200 libre y si hubiera querido tambíen los 200 espalda). Tu que sos nadador al igual que yo sabes lo difícil que es dominar esas distancias y si le agreagamos los 400 estilos y los 100 mariposa...............Michael es sin duda el mejor.

@juandi2570 si porque phelps como espaldista es increible tambien. el caso d thorpe me parece muy espectacular xq en 400 no le vi perder jamas. en 200 le vi perder solo 1 vez. en 800 las pokas veces q nado siempre gano a hackett e incluso fue recordman mundial. y en 100 sin ser un sprinter consiguio 2 bronces en 2003 y 2004. tu sabes lo dificilisimo q es ser un grande tanto en velocidad como en fondo..

Phelps pierde algunas carreras al ano porque es tan bueno en todo que le gusta desafiar a los mejores de espalda(peirsol,etc),pecho y libre y muchas veces los vence. presumo d saber d natacion xq soy nadador. cuando digo q en estilo libre no ha hecho nada me refiero a q dijo q seria campeon de 400 y no llego ni a la final. dijo q iba a presentarse al 100 libre, la prueba reina y jamas ha conseguido mejorar un septimo puesto y en 200 solo gano cuando se retiro thorpe, al q nunca vencio en 200. un tercer puesto esta bien, pero no para el que segun tu es el mejor de la historia...

Es cierto Nunca ha vencido a Thorpe pero contestame; cuantas veces se enfrentaron los dos en olimpiadas? SOLO una cuando Thorpe era el mejor nadador del mundo y Phelps tenía solo 19 anos. yes 8 gold medals but 3 of them in relay races because he is part of the u.s.a team , the best team in the world. if phelps was russian or english or italian he would have "only" 5......and 2 of the others 5 were in races without great swimmers (specially the 200 free style) . i think michaelps phelps is a fantastic swimmer, a really good swimmer but i don,t think he is so great like people says... he is fantastic but he is not the greatest ever...

@gusyrocks, Hablas de Biondi pero Biondi ganó solo dos pruebas individuales(100 metros libre y 50) en Seúl Korea en 1988..........Lo que hizó Phelps en Pekín es fuera de este mundo y no solo lo digo yo sino los más grandes de la historia, en fin me imagino que Popov es tu escogencia como mejor nadador de la historia. michael phelps is not the best swimmer ever. phelps is the best fly swimmer and the best medley swimmer of course...but the best swimmer ever has to be the best free style swimmer because crawl is the faster style and phelps is not a top 1 swimmer in 100 or 400 meters crawl style. in this races he never win. NEVER. and in 200 free style he only win because ian thorpe is not here now. phelps never won thorpe in 200 free style. phelps is a great and fantastic swimmer but is not the best ever...
