I had the pleasure of meeting this man and his family on a smooth jazz cruise a few years ago.

After just one listen of this song on Wave 94.7 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, I was hooked!

@collinsjamesl Hey man, nice to see another Wave fan on here! I'm from the GTA and, to be honest, if it weren't for this song, I probably never would have started listening to smooth jazz. What got me hooked was a television commercial for the station, where they used a compilation of music video/live performance snippets to showcase some of the artists to expect. Sure enough, there was Euge Groove, jammin' out on his tenor, movin' to the rhythm, and ultimately, Livin' Large on stage.

@honestnicewoman I live in Kansas city and I am a truck driver. I was in D/FW at least once a week. The Oasis made my drive much more pleasant through that chaotic city of yours. I remember feeling so let down when I attempted to tune into The Oasis only to find they changed format. I have been a smooth jazz fan since 1993 when I was 12. We lost our station years ago. Chicago lost theirs back in May of '09 after 25+ years on the air *sigh*. They are dying nationwide. It really stinks.

@videovictim3 You cannot complain to anyone. They are dying all across the country. Smooth jazz, unfortunately, is becoming an antiquated sound. I hope they continue to produce music cd's though. I believe there is still a high demand. Until all of us who lived through the 80's and 90's die off there should still be a good number of folks who enjoy this sub-genre.

Smooth jazz music is great! Smooth Jazz 105.9 was a great station, and it's sad to see these smooth jazz stations go. This music is peaceful and relaxing, and there's more folks than you think that like this. Sure, it's today's "easy listening," but it doesn't hurt your ears and you can understand the music. Euge did great on this piece; for those who don't have smooth jazz locally, satellite radio has it.

Yeah we had a station here in Kansas City called 106.5 "The City" that played smooth jazz 24/7 & they changed into some wretched oldies station. I was mad about that. I enjoy smooth jazz.
