In NC's defense on reviewing kids movies from an adult's perspective, most of those kids movies he reviews actually have little to no effort put into them, which is pretty bad to begin with. Just because its a kids movie, it doesn't give you the excuse to not try.

I like Nostalgia Critic, I think he's hilarious but you can't take everything he says super seriously, he exaggerates his emotions/responses/opinions to make things funny.
He even said so in the Sonic the Hedgehog parody, where he really tore into the crappy Sonic the Hedgehog series and even said that he didn't really hate the series.

@MegaGoodoldtimes The Dark Knight IS a great movie. so far, it's the best Batman movie EVER made. the original '89 film, while it got a lot of stuff WRONG, it also got a few stuff right, like the music, the costume, and such. while i don't hate it as much as blowshimselfudude, the '89 film is a FUN movie, but not the masterpiece that a lot of people make it out to be. The Dark Knight is a whole other story, Batman's MO was spot on, we got a Joker to be feared, they just got so much right.

I think your mising the whole point of those review's. Their not legit summaries of the films, their more satyre, parodies made for fun. I'm watching his stuff regulary and I still find him really funny, not all the time of course but still he is interesting, as are your reviews, despite the fact that I don't allways see thing the way you do.
Quick note, Pagemaster was a family film, you know cause the hints to various poems, books that only adults or at least teenagers would understand. So he does have a right to review it from an adult perspective. Because that is what the film is aimed at, not just children. Nostalgia critic does the research, obviously you don't.

I've watched every review of NC, i totally agree with what you said about Last action hero. He knows his shit ( i think so anyway) so I cant comprehend how he completely missed the fucking point of that movie. I was blown away!
While I see where you're going with this, in his defense there is more of a reason to pick Bob who at least did somethings, and not Eowyn who had no lines and didn't do anything. But, I agree that there was bias in his BTMAN '89 vs. DARK KNIGHT review, at least in the supporting cast area. He even had the DK cast win most of the match-ups but still went the other way.
And while I do like quite a few of the movies he reviewed, we have to acknowledge different opinions from different reviewers.
I still enjoy the nostalgia critic. I watch every one of his reviews, and to me, they all are pretty entertaining. I think he makes valid arguments, and some pretty good jokes and shoutouts.
That being said, I enjoyed your video. You didn't degenerate into insults and namecalling like many other haters, it wasn't some stupid youtube poop, and you calmly explained valad points. While I disagree with your views on the critic, I give you props for making an organized, logical argument.

The Nostalgia Critic actually had a lot of props to give to the Dark Knight supporting cast that, up until he mentioned "Bob", I thought he was going to give the point to The Dark Knight. And about Bob as compared to Arowyn, though their placements in their respective films were similar, maybe he felt that Bob was a bit more charismatic. "The Boba Fett of Batman" as he put it.
I think when the critic was talking about the Supporting Cast of the Batman films, he was talking more about the characters, rather than the actors themselves (even though traditionally, the term "cast" does refer to the actors).

@MegaGoodoldtimes The Dark Knight IS a great movie. so far, it's the best Batman movie EVER made. the original '89 film, while it got a lot of stuff WRONG, it also got a few stuff right, like the music, the costume, and such. while i don't hate it as much as blowshimselfudude, the '89 film is a FUN movie, but not the masterpiece that a lot of people make it out to be. The Dark Knight is a whole other story, Batman's MO was spot on, we got a Joker to be feared, they just got so much right.

Quick note, Pagemaster was a family film, you know cause the hints to various poems, books that only adults or at least teenagers would understand. So he does have a right to review it from an adult perspective. Because that is what the film is aimed at, not just children. Nostalgia critic does the research, obviously you don't.

While I see where you're going with this, in his defense there is more of a reason to pick Bob who at least did somethings, and not Eowyn who had no lines and didn't do anything. But, I agree that there was bias in his BTMAN '89 vs. DARK KNIGHT review, at least in the supporting cast area. He even had the DK cast win most of the match-ups but still went the other way.
And while I do like quite a few of the movies he reviewed, we have to acknowledge different opinions from different reviewers.

I still enjoy the nostalgia critic. I watch every one of his reviews, and to me, they all are pretty entertaining. I think he makes valid arguments, and some pretty good jokes and shoutouts.
That being said, I enjoyed your video. You didn't degenerate into insults and namecalling like many other haters, it wasn't some stupid youtube poop, and you calmly explained valad points. While I disagree with your views on the critic, I give you props for making an organized, logical argument.

About the complaining about things you like, I think it means knowing what exactly is wrong with it (bad plot, bad characters etc.) but on the other side enjoying it because it still is awesome (bad characters doing really awesome things)
The Undead and Unwed series for example: Mary-Sue as a main character, stupid plot, but on the other hand it's just too funny to be really mad about that things.

Also, the reason he mostly shows the bad parts from movies is because those parts make the funniest jokes and he's trying to satirize other critics who like to nitpick movies!

I think you take him a bit too seriously man. NC is supposed to be this guy that attacks your nostalgia. He's supposed to be a critic, which is a bit different from a reviewer. A critic points out flaws while a reviewer explains their experience with the medium they're reviewing. NC has stated several times that he enjoys most of the bad movies he reviews and is just pointing out funny flaws. In this regard, perhaps he was never your kind of humor to begin with. At least the Critic plays on the satire, not everything about his reviews is balls to the wall serious. With some of the other critics, with their "unfair comparisons", not so much. The Nostalgia Critic actually had a lot of props to give to the Dark Knight supporting cast that, up until he mentioned "Bob", I thought he was going to give the point to The Dark Knight. And about Bob as compared to Arowyn, though their placements in their respective films were similar, maybe he felt that Bob was a bit more charismatic. "The Boba Fett of Batman" as he put it.

I agree with a lot of your points, but I never did like the "Its a kids movie so don't judge it too hard" excuse. There are too many films that can appeal to both kids and adults for me to really excuse flaws in a film because its a "kids movie". To me, those kind of films are talking down to kids.
